Glad, that your post op checkup went well. [/center]
I know you did hun, she's just being a big ol' meanie. I think you deserve more than elevator Rob, but for a start I hi-jacked your (and a few others) profile and put it as your sig. I hope you like the new pic I put as part of your sig, but I still like the one I did yesterday as it's true even if you won't admit it. That ain't gonna happen time soon I'm afraid hun. But you know Christmas ai't too far away, so you never know. He's still being a bit of a baby about that pic I showed you, it's not like you saw anything exciting and I did plenty for him in return. MEN - I will never understand them.
I looked this up:Urban Dictionary: bodice ripperAn historical romance where the heroine has lots of non-consensual sex, which becomes consensual. The book needs to have a gaudy cover with a woman with an extraordinarily long neck, heaving bosoms, and flowing hair, and a brooding man.
Okay, so all bodice rippers are historical, but not all historical romances are bodice rippers. For example, Outlander wouldn't be a bodice ripper, but it would be historical. Mostly bodice rippers have little real story, bad things happen to the heroine, The Hero is a bad guy or a rake. They usually are forced into marriage. Or he forces her to have sex and she gets pregnant. When I was younger, it didn't bother me as much that half the time, the heroine got basically raped by the hero. And really, in the times of the stories, this may have been normal. There is usually a lot of sex. He is always really good at it.... probably because he's a rake LOL!

So this mysterious picture was of Loopy's husband guns? ......Err? What kind of 'guns'?
I have done that but I keep getting this calibre, version 2.3.0ERROR: Same as current: The location C:\Users\CarolineS\Documents\Calibre Library\Calibre Library contains the current calibre library
Spot on Ella, good breakdown.....And the protagonists are 99.9% of the time English, what's that all about? Can't any other nationality be rogues, rakes or scoundrels? I have to say I've not read a BR since I was in school, for some reason the nuns would turn a blind eye to BRs but confiscate Jackie Collins, so I read a lot of BRs at 13-14 all they did was fill my head with utter rubbish....
I've never read any of Maya Banks' stories so I can't say for sure. I just know that the one's that were disappointed with the one you wanted to read liked her other series better. Actually, they all seem to like her contemporary ones more. Okay, so all bodice rippers are historical, but not all historical romances are bodice rippers. As I said, I read them about 20+ years ago when I was in high school.....

Never bothered looking up the meaning and just assumed, since these historical books would have these type of covers, then that's how the term was born.I've read a lot of historical romances. Pardon my memory but the only one i can really think of that fits the bill is this and i absolutely LOVED it! 5 stars. You are not allowed to view links. Register or LoginThis is truly non-consensual sex in the beginning but, man, the way it was written and the situation why it happened was "acceptable" to me. Think i read this book 6 times. This was way back in HS and i would only buy books from 2nd hand bookstores after i've saved up my allowance. Only had a few books during my school years hence i tend to re-read a lot then.Aside from Shanna, my other all time favorites are:Read this 10 timesYou are not allowed to view links. Register or LoginYou will note Gentle Rogue and Fires of Winter has the requisite girl with boobs almost popping out, embraced by a ruggedly-handsome-built guy. Many books of Johanna Lindsey has the model Fabio on them. No internet then, so my fantasies were based on the cover of these historical and Mills & Boon books. You HAVE to read these 4 books!!
And it is not recognizing the library? Is that where you put it? Try putting it in a different folder and see if it will find it then. The other solution is to add all the books again. It will normally pick up all the metadata. I had my library get messed up during one of my hard drive changes. I ended up having to re-add the entire thing. Left it running all night. All the books were retrieved but some of the metadata didn't come back. Only for about 3 or 4 books, so I just put it in manually. It definitely sucks when you have to redo it all, but it is easier the second time - use the Add Books/add books from different directories including sub-directories (one book per directory assumes each book of a different format is the same book. This will import the library the way caliber sets it up. Let me know if either solution doesn't work.
I will try that when I am less tired. Thank you. The worst part of this is is the damn bug is back.
Well, that sucks....
