Hehe, told ya she was good.  :) and why am i not surprised you liked Perfect. That's her more heartwrenching one in that series. Oh, man, after all these years since i read it, that airport scene still guts me. Poor Zack and Julie. Just goes to show you that you will never forget the good books.  :)

A book club road trip to Vegas, sure would like to afford that one!  :P

Oh that airport scene!!! Jesus. Yeah, Ms Ncnaught writes some really good books...I would really have liked to see what happened with Paul Robinson after he went to LA to see Zack and realised he wasn't going to get the girl....Anyhoooo, I loved that book...but, damn you Booked! Is the whole series mostly YA then with those "certain scenes"?   I was hoping for at least NA! LOL   :D
The thing I didn't like about the FTF series is
Sorry but you are not allowed to view spoiler contents.

Errr? Hello? I take it you don't read HS FF's then?!  :D

It appears that Rob's 'stache will not get to appear with Robert DeNiro.  The movie was cancelled in the middle of production this morning.   See Robsessed info - such as it is - after the pics with twigs and Rob strolling around Toronto.

Sorry about that, they actually fixed the FFDL but it hasn't yet loaded to Calibre.  I've attached the latest one that does fix the problem.  However, double check your password works.  I had to reset mine.  It didn't like my password when I typed it in.  It could just be me  :o

But I fixed my password, put this in the plugins and everything is working great. Sorry about the earlier misinformation.  I was at work and wasn't able to check to see if the downloader updated in Calibre. So I assumed it had.

Plugins are located (normally) in c:\Users\YourName\AppData\Roaming\Calibre\Plugins.  Copy the zip file as is.  Calibre only sees zip files as plugins.  You may need to change the file view to see hidden files to see AppData.

And you do need to change the website URL in the personal.ini.

I'm a little confused. I'm sorry. I did go into my personal.ini and changed that. And I went into my c:\ and found users and my name but I can't find the AppData. I did find Roaming but inside that is Intel and that is an empty folder? How do I change the file view to see hidden files to see the AppData?

I'm sorry for my tech ignorance. I do really appreciate your help.

*EDIT* I fooled around and found AppData, Roaming and Calibre. There was a zip file in there already named that, I told my computer to go ahead and replace it with the new one. I hope I did okay? Now restarting Calibre and trying it out.

Well, crap! I don't know what I've done or haven't done. LOL I downloaded the zip file, placed it in my calibre plugin folder, I've changed the link in my personal.ini. section and made sure my username and password were correct. But, every time I click on a story in my library to update it from twcs it asks for my password and username still.

First. Booked. You're a BR whisperer; I am now hooked on Ms McNaught!!!! In the middle of every book as I'm heading to the final furlong I curse you; just so you know.... Have you read Perfect? God, I'm ashamed to say how much I enjoyed that book You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login

Watched the first season, which I thought was so witty. I've not gotten round to the second, how many seasons are there now....

I loved N.O! I can't even imagine what it's like on Halloween, I know they take that sh!t seriously, I've never seen so many 'voodoo' practitioners selling their brand of 'cures'...And the food? Forgetaboutit!

I really can't read anymore YA series. I've brunt out.....

I want that dress.....:D :D
I'm sure I heard somewhere that Nikki's bottom has been 'enhanced' with implants.

BTW I'll sign up right now for a book club road trip to Vegas!  :P

Judith McNaught is awesome, so is Julie Garwood.
All of Nikki's parts are enhanced...so I've heard.

I FLOVE Ellen, it's so annoying that they stopped showing her show over here in the UK  :( :( but I watch it online and when I saw her spoof of Nicki I nearly pissed myself laughing (literally).  :D :D

As soon as I read this, I googled immediately....hilarious. Good to see that Nikki can have fun at her own expense.

I know what you mean, I don't mind books that has that storyline in but it has to be well written. I like AG's books but I think she's spread herself too thin lately and her books have suffered.  :(

I'd say SB is more NA lite, if that makes sense.  ;)

You do realise hun, you probably mentioned nearly every YA series out at the moment.  :D :DVegas couldn't handle all of us at once, I'm pretty sure we'd leave it in ruins.  :D :D >:D >:D

If we left Vegas in ruins we'd be frickin' rich and famous. Loopy, you'd be under 24hr watch.

Update on Idol's Eye by way of Robsessed and Gossip Cop:

Idol’s Eye, starring Robert Pattinson and Robert De Niro, has been canceled, Gossip Cop exclusively confirms.

Here’s an exclusive statement from producers to Gossip Cop: “Due to the criteria for financing not being met by producers, Benaroya Pictures has formally decided to discontinue financing the motion picture titled IDOL’S EYE.  The company cannot continue to put its investment at risk and has been forced to stop cash flowing the production.”

It continues, “This is something all of us wanted to avoid, but due to the producers missing a number of financing criteria deadlines that were mutually established by all parties, we were left with no other options. Benaroya Pictures plans to retain the rights of the film and move forward with production on the picture after we generate a revised script and assemble a new filmmaking team.”

On Monday, speculation that the movie’s future was in doubt spread after the actor Shane Daly tweeted, “Bad news morning… turns out that #IdolsEye, the Robert De Niro film has been cancelled. No reasons as of yet. @IdolsEyeFilm.”

A rep for Daly later confirmed to Gossip Cop that he was informed early Monday that Idol’s Eye isn’t going forward now. Idol’s Eye was set to begin filming in Toronto, where Pattinson arrived a couple of weeks ago. Daly is listed on IMDb as playing “Officer Jones” in Idol’s Eye. The movie, directed by Olivier Assayas, was set to star Pattinson, De Niro, Rachel Weisz, with a plot inspired by the true story of a crew of thieves who try to rob a pawn shop, only to learn it’s a front for a brutal crime boss.

I have actually read some of Abbi's books...The Vincent brothers. Will the stories still flow if read out of order? I know some of the characters have 2/3 books dedicated  to them. Sea Breeze and Rosemary Beach, I think I've read one out of each series.
I'll check out her Existence series.

Love the VB - prefer Beau to Swayer, I preferred the "New & Uncut versions" as they were a bit more "mature" on certain things than the originals :
Sorry but you are not allowed to view spoiler contents.

As for SB you could read them out of order if you wanted to as it's different characters in each book but they've only made appearances in previous ones.
As for RB it's best to read in order as there is 2/3 books each.  :)

Glad you're back. Was N.O fun? We're trying to go to Mardi Gras in 2015. I hear that's the best fun ever.

We did have fun in New Orleans, although since I had my kids with me (none old enough to drink and 2 not old enough for the Halloween goings-on in the French Quarter) we did not do a lot of things that people stereotypically do in NO.  It was good, though, because we learned things about the city that we have learned in other trips.  We stayed on the edge of the French Quarter so we still saw lots of Halloween and Day of the Dead costumes.  We spent some time in a couple of cemeteries.  Ate good food.  The wedding was unique, although we left before the parade behind the marching band in the streets.

I was in NO one year (many years ago) for the last part of Mardi Gras.  It was fun, but I doubt I would go now.  Primarily because I have no interest in hanging out in those kind of crowds or dealing with the issues that go along with crowds.  The wonderful food is not as good because the restaurants are overwhelmed by the number of people in town.  The locals don't eat out during Mardi Gras, at least, not in the French Quarter unless they have access to the back rooms reserved for insiders.

If you go, book early, be safe and have a great time.

Well, I'm 35% through with book 2 in the All Souls Trilogy and still thoroughly enjoying it!  Thanks for the rec!   I was all set to start Dusty when I finish the trilogy but then you guys go talking about these awesome bodice rippers and I keep thinking they might be right up my alley!   Must stay focused!  Dusty is calling to me.

I'm with you, Demaris.  I had to go check out Judith McNaught and got totally caught up in the stories.  I've read several now including Perfect, even though I should be doing other things.

My daughter made me watch the first season of Orange is the New Black, then deserted me and watched the second season with her boyfriend.  I haven't managed to get back to it, but plan to do so.  The last show of the first season left me with my jaw on the floor.  Demaris, you want to watch it with me?

Halloween was wild.  It turned cold Halloween night.  I saw some costumes that didn't cover much and I'm afraid those folks may have regretted their choice - like superman who was wearing only a cape and undies.  The super S was painted on his chest.  My daughter wanted to do a haunted walking tour Halloween night.  I nixed that idea since I figured the crazies would be out that night.  I was willing to do it the next night, but she and her boyfriend opted for a stroll through the French Quarter without the rest of us in tow.

There was a Voodoo Festival going on while we were there with some great groups booked, but we didn't make it there.  We had to be flexible in our schedule due to the family functions we were there for.
