Dude, you read fast... Go read Sea Breeze!!!  :P :D So yeah, guilty as charged, am one of those that rec'd it and i will do it again if asked :)

Abbi Glines is not perfect but i really like the way her books make me feel. Admittedly, the last few ones in Rosemary Beach series, i kept thinking what other drama can she think of next. I like knowing what happens to characters that appeared in other books. For that alone, i would gladly read all her series and definitely the next one after Sea Breeze as a son in RB meets a daughter in SB. Something am looking forward to.  >:D

Another series i'm following is The Rocker by Terri Anne Browning

I'm also guilty of having read Abbi's books.

Hoping maybe its that new "shaved on sides, long on top" look that has been popular.

I hope so too hun. [emoji38]

*cough*Mr John Green*cough* broke my heart after the first time I read TFioS, I've read it copious times since and I still end up bawling my eyes out while rocking in the corner of the room and I'm no better with the film either.

My daughter raved about TFioS. But knowing it's about a doomed couple, i had no desire to read the book nor watch the movie. That would be soooo sad for me  :'(

I didn't want to read it but finally succumbed to the peer pressure and read it.   Good book, but extremely sad.   I haven't seen the movie yet but everybody says it's wonderful.

If you cried at the movie, you'd definitely cry at the book and tbh not a lot was changed in the movie, so you've pretty much read the book.  :D :D

I reacted the same way I do every time I read the book, we went to the cinema to see it and I was crying before we even got to our seats.  ^-^ ^-^ :D :D

It's such a good movie, with a great cast and a great soundtrack - I would definitely rec it to anyone who has or hasn't read the book.
But my love for all things John Green knows no bound, I just love the dude and enjoyed all the books he's released.
Can't wait for Looking For Alaska and Paper Towns (even though Cara Delevingne will be starring as Margo  :() to be released.

  • Life is all about balance.
So, I finished Face Down by SimplyDazzeling. I agree with you Loopy that it is angsty. I personally thought that the first half of the story kinda dragged a bit. I kept thinking, come on get on with it. Over all I did enjoy reading it. The SpaG weren't too bad.

Loopy, so sorry for the loss of your friend. I am sure that breast cancer is not a pleasant way to go, so at least he isn't suffering any more. That sounds like it was a very unusual funeral, but a great way to celebrate his life and remember the good times.

I am currently reading Feral by Opalaline. I am on chapter 24 out of 35 and so far it is a pretty good story.

EDIT:

I finished Feral and it wasn't bad. There wasn't much drama or angst, but not a bad read overall.

Just came from Robsessed.  Don't say I don't come in handy once in awhile.  They had pics from Rob attending a twigs concert in New York tonight.  Included with one of the pics is the answer to his hair

Hi!
I was wondering what's a good plugin to use on Calibre to store all my Kindle books? I have the Kindle app on my IPad, is there one that works with the app?

He evidently also shaved the back of his head too - which leads me to wonder if he's trying for another movie part.  His friend Harmony (whatever his last name is) has a movie he wants Rob in.  I'll have to go check Robsessed again.   That info came out last week - and no one is saying much - just hinting.  The last time he shaved his head he was trying out for Mission Blacklist.

Rob teased us several times before about working with Harmony Korine soon. Rob said Harmony is writing a gangster movie set in Miami with a role specifically for him and Harmony Korine talked to Maxim in September about what this film will be like:

What's your next big project?
I can’t go into super specifics, but it’s like, it’s gonna be my most next-level movie. This is actually the first time I’m talking about it. It’s kind of a sprawling revenge film. It’s pretty, like, full on. I’m gonna put everything I know as a film maker into it. I think it’s gonna be a pretty substantial film. I’m gonna shoot it in Miami right after the New Year.
Harmony also shared good details with Bullett also back in September:

Did [Al Pacino] give you any tips on the Southern Gothic gangster project you’re working on?
Well actually, it’s all done! The script is written. I’m putting the cast together right now, it’s going to be my most ambitious film, and I’m really just going to go for it. It’s some next level shit. It’s a revenge movie, a sprawling, very intense… I don’t want to give away too much, but we’re probably going to start shooting in Miami after the New Year. I’m goin’ for it.

Any particular reason why Miami?
Yeah, just the way the sky looks.

And you’ve got Robert Pattinson locked down?
It’ll have a substantial cast.
Now we have some official casting announcements made. Jamie Foxx and Benicio Del Toro.

Variety:

“Spring Breakers” director Harmony Korine, for the first time in his career, has cast an Oscar-winning actor to star in his movie. Sources tell Variety that Jamie Foxx is attached to topline ensemble gangster drama “The Trap.” Korine will write and direct the feature, which the controversial filmmaker behind “Kids” and “Trash Humpers” has described as “his most ambitious film to date.” Benicio del Toro is also attached to star. John Lesher and Charles-Marie Anthonioz are producing the film. Plot details on “The Trap” are being kept under wraps. The revenge pic is expected to shoot early next year in Miami. Following the success of of his last project, “Spring Breakers,” which earned Korine and star James Franco critical acclaim, more A-list talent should circle the gangster drama.
THR:

Benicio Del Toro is joining Jamie Foxx in The Trap, a Southern revenge movie written and to be directed by Spring Breakers helmer Harmony Korine. The script is a crime thriller centering on two childhood friends now in their mid-to-late 30s — one of whom is very successful and the other has spent the majority of his adult life in jail. On the eve of a big recognition for the successful man, the other is released from jail and determined to get even. John Lesher and Charles-Marie Anthonioz are producing the film, which is slated to shoot early next year.
Rob isn't officially cast yet but we'll keep you posted. The Childhood of a Leader and The Lost City of Z still seem to be on Rob's slate but no specific dates for production are locked.

Here's a scary number.  I have 968 stories on my "neglected" community list that have not updated in more than a year.  These are stories I took an interest in for some reason or another that have probably been abandoned by their authors.  So sad.

Um.....okay - I am about to ask a very stupid question.  What happens if one of those 968 updates and its on the apparent abandoned list?   Do you get a notification when it updates?  If not - how do you know for sure that it hasn't updated.  I'm asking this basically from the perspective of someone who spends a lot of time on Twilighted.  The site in the past 3 months give a week or two has had at least 15 fics that hadn't seen the light of day in well over a year with an updated chapter.   I know this basically because I keep track of everything that gets pulled and I post it on my Do We Know Where This Story Went thread.  By the same token, when something updates that everyone has figured has been abandoned, I also post those fics to let everyone know if for some reason they took it off their favorites list or it was never on their list to begin with (they were just following it without notification).   I've got six that have recently come off what I would consider the abandoned list that I have to post.  You can always go over to Twilighted and check out my thread and see if any of them were fics that you were following that maybe are now active again (for how long is anybody's guess).  I 'd start with the most recent post and work my way backward.  Just a suggestion which is probably not helpful but I tried?

I keep it on my neglected list so I can check on it periodically.  So, if the author starts to update again, I take it off the neglected list and put it on my favorites again.  An example, The Mobster's Son by words.left.unsaid, was on my neglected list for quite some time.  That author recently started updating again, so I have taken the fic out of the neglected community and put it back on my favorites list.  So, no, I don't get notifications, but it's easy to check for any updates by changing the setting on my community to put the list in update order.  But it's up to me to remember to go check.

That definitely answers one question - if you take them off your favorites list, it stands to reason that others are doing the same thing.   Which means - they either have to check manually on their own, or they see it on my thread or someone tells them.   I was originally just reporting updated fics that I was following and then I expanded to anything that updated that had been inactive for awhile.    Some don't get reported at all - one I probably should have posted only had one chapter that went up about 4 years ago and that was it - I think it was a bondage one by FanFicKitten.  I figured with one chapter - who the heck would remember it.   At least 3 more chapters have been added as well as 2 or more new fics have been posted by her.

I love the series, I thought it got better with each book and you can't say that much these days.
I know what I'm about to say might make Kim jealous as I know she loves TF and CoHo but got an email from CoHo today saying Hi and that she's gonna be sending me an early release of the final version paperback of Never Never.  :cheer: :cheer:

By the time I get it, I might of finished the pile of ARCs (from other authors that I stalk  :P :P) that are on my iPad, which would mean I can drop everything and read it straight away (who am I kidding - I'm gonna drop everything anyway to read it).
