I love the series, I thought it got better with each book and you can't say that much these days.I know what I'm about to say might make Kim jealous as I know she loves TF and CoHo but got an email from CoHo today saying Hi and that she's gonna be sending me an early release of the final version paperback of Never Never. By the time I get it, I might of finished the pile of ARCs (from other authors that I stalk ) that are on my iPad, which would mean I can drop everything and read it straight away (who am I kidding - I'm gonna drop everything anyway to read it).
God I hate finishing a story. Just the search of something else equally good to read is exhausting
God, what a mess! What a total, dirty, realistic, human mess. I FLOVED it! Kimmy you did good this time Read all three books back to back and I've never cheered Sorry but you are not allowed to view spoiler contents. though her closing line was epic. FLOVED!!!
I'm so glad you loved it because I thought it was crazy good. I was thinking we might have to part ways if you didn't like this one! I've never ever loved to hate someone as much as Dirty Red! Now I'm wondering what that last line was. When I read book 1 I had no idea there would someday be future books and I was not happy! I read them each when they came out so I had all that anticipation built up. Had to go back and reread to get the time line straight too. (Lol I almost took notes) She's an amazing author for sure... I bet you'd like Mud Vein too but I didn't like it quite as much as this series! And, yes Loopy, I'm jealous! ;-)
Oh Dirty Red was sooo good! Yeah she was a beetch for sure, but I did feel sorry for her at times....That's what Fisher did so well, the vulnerability even in a character you disliked. Spent half of TO thinking "who is this woman?!" in regards to Olivia but she was so vulnerable under the hardness you couldn't hate her even when she'd done some hateful things....I can not wait for Never Never, and yes I've downloaded Mud Vein but want to read something not Fisher to cleanse the palate first.....
Neil Gaiman's Stardust would be a great palate cleanser. :-)
I'll have a look.. Thanks.[emoji8]
I agree with Kim you'd like MV, I (marginally) liked it better than the LMWL series and that's saying something as they were great.
I'm curious if you ever read The Lonely... It sort of affected the way I thought of MV. Can't wait to hear what you think of the new book!
I read The Lonely and couldn't help comparing MV to it but I definitely preferred MV even though TL is a good read as well. [emoji3]
Let us hope Rob does something about the bad haircut before Friday night. He's scheduled to be a presenter at the Hollywood Film Awards being televised on CBS.
I tried moving my Calibre library into a different folder (WHY, WHY?!?!?!!? **shaking fist**!!!)... and that proceeded to EFF it up completely and it was gone! I figured out how to upload it again from the "previous" version or something. I have no idea *ahahahah.. but now none of the columns are populated! UGH!!! I finally had it looking pretty and organized!!!!
Oh no. What happened?
Everything is empty My stories are there, but its like everything else was removed! Some of them have their tags, but everything else is just not populated. I've tried all the ways to update URLS, and metadata.. but nothing is working.
Did you accidentally remove the metadata.db file? If so, just locate it in your recycle bin and then right click and choose restore. The close and restart Calibre.
I moved my Calibre library into my One Drive folder... Thinking that it would be fine, but I realized my mistake the second AFTER I moved the library! I needed to change the location through Calibre! ARGH! So I moved it back into MyDocuments, and did a restore. It brought my stories back, but that's it. I checked the folder and there are 3 different metadata files??
How many libraries do you have? there should be at least one metadata file for each one. If you have 3 of them in your recycle bin, I would restore one at a time and then restart calibre to see what it the change was.
