Ok, do you have windows 7? If so, there is a program in windows called snipping tool that is easy to use. You don't want to open you metadata file. It is what Calibre uses for your library.

SWEET!! I never knew about that! I used to use a program called "Snag It" at my last job... was sad to not have it anymore. Thanks! :)

Ok, what am I snipping though? I guess I'm confused as to what exactly to show you?

Open the file that has your Calibre metadata files listed in it. and snip the the screen shot. Make sure that have the details listed so we can see the date modified.

When I click on the file...

It says this...

Can't get any of those programs to work...

Countdown to Gideon...I hope Ms Day does not disappoint. I've been waiting awhile for this.

The trilogy mentioned a couple pages back sounded intriguing so I decided to check it out. I enjoyed MV so I knew/hoped her other works would be as good. Would you know, I've read all three and seriously...CRS. This is really depressing...am I losing my short term memory or have I read so many books that most have become blurred line. Please tell me there are others out there like me. This is not the first time this has happened. It's really upsetting.
I'll browse a couple pages and then I'll remember the story...for the most part. I need a drink now.

You're not alone.   I pride myself on not forgetting what I read - until lately.   I had a friend get The Kiss by Danielle Steel from her internet book swap site because I honestly don't think I've read it.  However, I started reading it and it sort of sounds familiar but doesn't - does that make sense?  I have books that I reread on purpose (like the JD Robb InDeath series) but I try to avoid duplicating someone like Steel.   I started one approximately a couple of months ago that I knew I hadn't read but I flounced it after starting it because it was a similar storyline to The Long Road Home also by Steel (girl who's a continual victim, physically abused in a wealthy family, trouble just keeps finding her - the one I flounced was another girl who's a victim - her father sexually abuses her, he's a lawyer, he tries to manipulate her the night of her mother's funeral and she grabs a gun she's been hiding and shoots and kills him, ends up getting arrested and she's only 16 - at that point - and I wasn't very far into it - I said enough already and threw it in the bag to go back on the swap list.)  By all means go have the drink - and have one for me while you are at it.  I don't happen to have any alcohol or chocolate in the house - time to go shopping.

By the way -  before I forget it - you guys are dangerous.  I got an e-mail from Sylvia Day's website today with the first 3 chapters of her new book which isn't out yet - and I don't read her.   Talk about CRS.  I deleted it.  However - the first person to pm me your e-mail address, I will forward the e-mail with the chapters to you before trash deletes it forever sometime later today.

This happens to me ALL THE TIME! I honestly think it's the amount of books I read, there is no way my brain COULD remember them all....thank God for Calibre, one, it tells me if a book is already in my library and two, a little green tic tell me I've read it. Saying that with the LMWL series if you CRS they are so good you should go ahead and read them again [emoji12]

As for Ms Day, still not sure if I'm going to read the new instalment now or wait for her to complete the series....I HATE WAITING! [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]

It turned out so great! I love it! I've had highlights in my hair for so long now... Shyed away from dark hair b/c its hard to keep up. Stupid gray hair, it sucks! Damn the women who don't have gray hair! I'm too young!! Ok, maybe not *TOO* young, but dammit! Young at heart!  8)
I find dark colours easier to keep up, or maybe that's just me. I've been pretty much every colour there is out there - with varying results (we shall not mention the Paprika/Green/Purple/Electric Pink etc  ^-^ ^-^).

My Mum has only just started going gray and she is in her 70's, yet I found my first gray hair when I was 10 and I've been dying it ever since.
I'm not going to go gray gracefully.  :D :D

Hiya, long time no see.  Hope you are all well.  I got a bit of a shock when I looked at my emails and saw Release by writingbabe had been updated. It has been so long since she updated I am going to have to re-read the whole thing if I can be bothered.

I'm going to finish book 2 of the All Souls Trilogy tonight...   can someone please give me permission to wait on reading book 3?  I REALLLLLLY want to read If I Stay/Where She Went!     It's not technically flouncing if I just take a little break, right?

It isn't flouncing to take a break for a little while, don't worry! Plus If I Stay/ Where She Went is worth the flounce even if it was!

I'll update on Education once I've finished it.

I read these ages ago and really enjoyed them, so much so I bought the extended edition version of the combo set as it had extra chapters and and extended epilogue. But unfortunately not got around to reading it yet, so couldn't tell you what the extra stuff includes.  :(
But the original versions are so worth reading.  :)

Looks interesting hun, so wanna know how it works for your hubby when he uses it.  :)
If any good I might have to get some for myself as I refuse to greet my grand-baby next year with grey hair. :D :D

That's not flouncing hun, cos if it is I flounce all the time.  :(
I'm forever taking breaks from a book/fic if I lose momentum with it, but I always go back and finsh even if it's months later - it's one of the reasons why I read 4/5 books/fics at a time, I feel less guilty when I do take a break.  :D :D

Yes she is, she's due 18th May.  :)
She (we) found out 9 weeks ago but she's had a few problems with heavy bleeding due to her only having 1 working kidney etc, but she went for a second scan today all is good with bump.

The hubby's freaking out slightly as he doesn't wanna be a Grampy (my daughter and b/f have decided that's what their calling him) at the ripe old age of 26 and he thinks I'm okay with being Nana at 32.  ;D ;D :D :D
