You're not alone. I pride myself on not forgetting what I read - until lately. I had a friend get The Kiss by Danielle Steel from her internet book swap site because I honestly don't think I've read it. However, I started reading it and it sort of sounds familiar but doesn't - does that make sense? I have books that I reread on purpose (like the JD Robb InDeath series) but I try to avoid duplicating someone like Steel. I started one approximately a couple of months ago that I knew I hadn't read but I flounced it after starting it because it was a similar storyline to The Long Road Home also by Steel (girl who's a continual victim, physically abused in a wealthy family, trouble just keeps finding her - the one I flounced was another girl who's a victim - her father sexually abuses her, he's a lawyer, he tries to manipulate her the night of her mother's funeral and she grabs a gun she's been hiding and shoots and kills him, ends up getting arrested and she's only 16 - at that point - and I wasn't very far into it - I said enough already and threw it in the bag to go back on the swap list.) By all means go have the drink - and have one for me while you are at it. I don't happen to have any alcohol or chocolate in the house - time to go shopping.
Found this pic and it looks more natural. Clearly the one that I had was a manip. I am not sure how to make the pic smaller, so FFG or Loopy can one of you do that if it's needed? I take it back, I think they are both manips....but still great to look at.
This happens to me ALL THE TIME! I honestly think it's the amount of books I read, there is no way my brain COULD remember them all....thank God for Calibre, one, it tells me if a book is already in my library and two, a little green tic tell me I've read it. Saying that with the LMWL series if you CRS they are so good you should go ahead and read them again [emoji12]As for Ms Day, still not sure if I'm going to read the new instalment now or wait for her to complete the series....I HATE WAITING! [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]
Now I feel better. Seriously, I thought I was really going nuts.
This is exactly how I feel! Old lady gran gran gripping her kindle, keeling over because her heart can't handle the angst! LOL
Definitely both manips and I'm really sorry to have to disappoint you: no way Rob rocks a body like this. Never has and probably never will. He said he hates working out (and I believe him when he said this), so it'd be really hard for him to have a six pack. Unfortunately a six pack doesn't come naturally.
Looking for rec's. I finally cleaned out my iPad/kindle so I'm looking for something new to read. Book or fic but not a lot of angst. Thanks
I'm totally invested in The Infernal Devices by Cassandra Clare. I simply wanted to finish The Mortal Instruments Series by her, but read somewhere that it'd be useful to read TID first. And I really like it a lot! Maybe even a little more than TMI. I have to finish book 3 and then the last book of TMI.After that there's another Fallen Angels book waiting (J. R. Ward). I'm all about tying lose ends atm.The last fic I read was The Diva Diaries and I loved it a lot. Definitely a top ten fic!
This is the version I have with all the new extended bits. I'm really, really enjoying it though I'm at the edge of my seat waiting for the axe to fall...NB Yeah, so, I don't need to sit at the edge of my seat anymore; the SHIT just hit the fan!! OMG! NB squared: This is bad, this is soooo bad....Kimmy you need to read this.
Are you saying that you have finished everything on your fic and book TBR list?! You realise that that is a requirement to be a member of this 'book club'? To have a TBR that is so long it'll require 20 lifetimes to read it all? I rec Tarryn Fisher's Love Me With Lies Trilogy, Judith McNaught's Perfect (she initially wrote BRs but regardless of that she's pretty good), Deborah Harkness All Soul Trilogy. If you like YA then anything by Gayle Forman, Jennifer Brown's Hate List, Maggie Stiefvater's Raven Boys series, Melina Marchetta, On Jelico Road (5*). Diana Gabaldon Outlander series, Pauline Simons The Girl In Time Square (a bit of a murder mystery but with Simons' TBH romantic touches). For a bit of noir detective fiction then Dennis Lehane's Kenzie and Gennaro series. Tiffanie DeBartolo's God-Shaped Hole( Oh, this broke my heart a bit). DUSTY I can't help with FF I've not read a good one in months!

I started If I Stay last night since I'm on an All Souls Trilogy break. I can't get over how short this book is! I guess compared to AST most books I read are short though.SPeaking of the All Souls Trilogy... I really liked the way Book 2 wrapped up! Actually book 1 wrapped up in a good spot too. Can't wait to see how it all unfolds in book 3!
Yep! That's the one...I've got a version that has both stories in one with extra bits, try and get that one. The climax was exactly what you'd imagine would happen out of this situation, hence the Jerry Springer smiley
Oh btw, how the hell did I not know that pattyrose was posting a new fic: You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login
Did you miss the part about "not a lot of angst" in her request? Seems like some of these are only for us angsthoors! I keep trying to come up with suggestions but seems like my favorites list is full of A N G S T!
Is this the version you have? You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login
You do know that there is another one coming out right? You'll be waiting till 2015/ 2016 to read the 5 books that complete this "trilogy".
This is how I wanna go, if I don't die doing the obvious. I always picture my last moments to be like the scene from Private Benjamin when her hubby dies on their wedding night.I always love the bit when she's asked at the funeral what his lasts words were and she answers "I'm Coming!", that's what I want the hubby to tell people. Anyhoo, I'm just rambling now (nothing new there).
