I never got into Star Wars but I agree Han was so much better than Luke!

I can probably quote/sing very word of Funny Girl [emoji23]
I could do that for the Wizard of Oz. And maybe the Sound of Music.  I love musicals, but my husband doesn't. So I don't watch them much any more. :(

"Frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn."  Gone with the Wind

Although when Rhett Butler sweeps Scarlett into his arms and carries her up the stairs to have his wicked way with her, that's pretty hot, too.

See, I never got the appeal of Ferris, and so many people quote it as one of their favourites. I might have to watch it again...

This would have been my second choice.

I love the costuming in GWTW. So beautiful. They don't make movies like that anymore.

They really don't, and they have the damn cheek to charge us through the nose for the crap they do make...my other favourite is Once Upon A Time In America when they're kids dressed up as gangsters; actually there a number of scene from that film that I love.

I so needed to see those hotties after having to spend the evening at my hubby's Christmas work party, which isn't as fun as it sounds.  :( :P

It seems to be working now....

Ok so it's not The Office spread over 8 books. That's good, just checking. I'm weary of FF authors taking their FFs and trying to wring every last penny they can out of them...I never read the FF version of Gabriel's Inferno but I thought the first book was just fantastic, then the second book was just so so and I'm now reading Redemption and it's so weak I can barely fathom that it's by the same author! I'm struggling to finish it to be honest, so sad  :(
Definitely not the office spread out over 8 books, all can be read as stand alones though a few have follow up novellas.
I've only managed to read Gabriel's Inferno the others in the series are on my (never ending) TBR.  ::) ::)

So I'm now off from work for Christmas, whoop whoop! And as is tradition I've just finished watching Funny Girl for the 100th time...The scene when she's (Barbra Streisand) on the tug boat trying to catch-up with Nick Arnstein singing Don't Rain on My Parade is one of my favourite scenes in a film ever! I still get goose pumps. Anyway I was thinking I so loved hearing who everyone's first TV boyfriend was I'm now wondering, what everyone else's favourite film scene is.

Twilight films not allowed!..  >:D:D

Is it wrong that I've never watched Funny Girl or the Sound of Music (or Star Wars) .  ^-^ ^-^

But I can quote every single line from The Panic in Needle Park and My Own Private Idaho, which turns out isn't very useful at all.  :D :D

Gabriel's Inferno was great, the rest? I'd say skip them if you don't want to be disappointed.

Funny Girl was on BBC2 on Saturday and I Tivo'd it....but you can get it online...

I've not seen any of those films...but I know I really should as its a fail on my part. Loop you have to give your favourite scene/s

I'm gonna make that my mission this Christmas to watch FG and TSoM.    ;D ;D

Fave scene from MoPI: is when Scott (Keanu) and Mike (River) are sat around a fire talking about their pasts and how it's okay for them to sleep with other guys as they're getting paid for it but two guys can't love each other unless they're getting paid for it when Mike admits that he's in love with Scott and wants to kiss him.
Kills me every time and it's such a typical Gus Van Sant scene.  :)

For TPiNP: it's gotta be when Bobby (Al Pacino) and Helen (Kitty Winn) take the ferry out to the country and buy a puppy, which jumps overboard and drowns while Bobby and Helen are getting a fix in the ship's loo.   :(
Random scene to choose but it's one of many that shows that even though they try and be "normal" the drugs win out every time.  ;D

TPiNP definitely isn't for everyone as there's a real long scene involving shooting up and OD'ing etc - it's a great film about love and drug addiction. If it wasn't for this film Al Pacino wouldn't of been casted as Michael Corleone in the Godfather.  ;D

You asked for fave scenes and I went the "lighter" faves from both of these.
They're the sort of films you can sit down and watch after a lovely sunday roast, not.  :D :D:P :P

"I love you!"
"I know"

Yeah. I loved Han Solo.  I know I was supposed to love Luke. But even as a teenager, his whining annoyed me.

 :D :D :D :D

I'll probably think of other parts of movies but that's the first that popped into my head. ;)

You're not alone!! Han is still my favorite!!! I love his personality so much!!
