OBL - yup, V&V was quite long more so if you pair that with Love Rescue Me, Edward's POV,. But still loved it. In my Top 5. I wish she would finish the sequel Lullabies and Eternal Love though.
Dang... Virgins & Villains is LOOOONG! ARGH!! Sorry but you are not allowed to view spoiler contents.
Yes. That's the easiest way in my opinion. Just make sure you copy the whole library folder. If you separate the files it may not be able to find them later.
So, here's the thing. you know we were discussing the inclusion of FF on Goodread? I've set myself a target of 200 books this year ( I think I read 145 last year) I think it's only fair that I can include the FFs I read in that total, right? Bloody Counsel was 53 chapters, that book length in my...errr? book ( ) So...what do you ladies think?
I always include FF in my yearly reading or otherwise the amount I've read would look pretty poor it was just OF. So, I don't see them problem of including FF especially when some fics are way longer than some books I've read.
My worry is the fuss some of the authors are making about people adding their FF (using the 'add book') on the site...
I don't see a problem with that! If I actually kept track of everything I'm reading/read, I would include them in my list. Some FF are just as long as OF, and sometimes even longer (*cough* *V&V* *cough*)! So you're worried b/c they won't be included on Goodreads any longer? Is there where you mostly track all your reads?
I use Goodread to track books mainly, but if a FF is good then I place it on there to encourage others to read it and it has a feature where you can set yourself a reading challenge for the year; last year I didn't bother but this year I have and I want to include FFs. But in December there was a fuss from some authors about their FFs being included on Goodread, their argument was that they're not books and that they'd be judge 'out of context'...(I called Bull on that) but there you have it.....
Dang... Virgins & Villains is LOOOONG!
Just in case anyone cares, Rail Must Fall by Drotuno is now complete, for those who only read fics that are complete (if anyone still reads fics at all).Rain Must FallBy: drotuno It's always been said that Mother Nature finds a way to assert her power. This time, she unleashed something that walls and fences couldn't contain. Separated by an entire country, Edward and Bella must fight to stay alive in a world determined to destroy them, a world Edward must cross to get to his family, and a world where the dead don't always stay dead. Is this one part of another series, or is it a stand alone? I know, I can go look myself, but then I'll fall down the ff.n rabbit hole!
Thank you Ella sooo much. All my stuff is now on one computer and one calibre library. Now i have another question hon, I just found an old amazon account that has a ton of FF on it that i thought i lost. It is under an old email account, that i dont use anymore. Is there away to share, download or transfer those FF's from the amazon cloud it is on, to my computer or some where that i can add it to my calibre?
It seems to be *mostly* the Teen Wolf fandom who is against GR, and a few RPF people (THAT I understand), and a couple of Supernatural folks. I haven't seen any Twilight people complaining yet.It is PERFECTLY within the rules of GR to add fic there, so long as it's complete, and on a site that lets you download, and not, say, tumblr or a personal blog (I've seen ones from LJ on there though, so who knows), but if the author sees it and sends an email to GR asking it to be removed, they remove it. I think that sucks, if a pubbed author asks to be removed from GR, they get told no.I was in the middle of that whole mess last month, because TW is what I've been reading, and I added a bunch to GR. It sucked to be told that I wasn't a part of the fandom because I was discussing the fics on GR, but what can you do?
TBH hun, the worst thing to happen is that fics will be removed from your reading list by the author(s).I know a few FF authors on FB have mentioned that they've removed their fics from GR after they were added without their permission. :(It's a load of as most of the authors against fics being added are probably authors that have/will P2P anyway.
Honestly I don't care if they remove the entry as long as Goodread still acknowledge that the book as been read and it counts towards my 200 target. I've added Counsel, at 53 chapters yo damn skippy I want it acknowledged as part of my reading challenge... [emoji14]Is anyone else following Cris' new fic Fairy Godfather? I've just glanced at the latest update and it seems she's making up for the lack of lemons in Wisp But when I think about how long it might take to complete I lose the will to live.......
