During my last pregnancy my daughter jumped full force on my belly - ouch! Got me several days in the hospital but everything was alright, only a veryrude nurse p*** me off.

So good luck!  :-*
Ouch!! I keep getting told my the hubby not to pick Saxon up so much as he's a very kicky baby and quite chunky but he's only just turned 10 months, so how could I not pick him up.
I kept telling him, I more likely to put myself in hospital then Saxon as I'm the clumsiest person ever.

Glad to hear that you and Bump are ok. You sure know how to earn the most accident prone title don't you. I wonder if Drypen has heard about this!
Lol, well it's a hard title to win and I'm intending on keeping it whether it kills me or not - which at this rate is looking more than likely.  :D

Take care Loopy! do you have a name for your baby already?  :)
We've had a name since we found out we were having a girl, but we've not told anyone what it is. But everyone knows her middle name as it's a family name on the hubby's side - it's Bordeaux as that's the name of the last girl born in his family which was nearly 60 years ago!!

No one was ever able to give a title or author.  Maybe, it was For You, Anything?  The story disappeared and it was the reason I learned to paste stories using Word and save them.  So, in a way, some good came out it!   :D  Now I will try to find the one you mentioned!  ;D
Okay, I just asked over at FanFic Hunters Facebook page.  Hopefully someone knows/has it.

It sounds really familiar.  I remember seeing that summary - Actorward runs into a bar to hide from fans/paps & meets Bella.  Who knows? I may actually have it.  ;D

I've finally finished this one.  It was pretty good overall and wasn't quite as predictable as I first expected.  It is a HEA.

The only thing that bugged me was that one day could take 3 - 4 chapters at the beginning and then years were skipped at the end - it might just be me but, it annoys me when this happens.

I can't believe it!  This was a FFN story that I read so long ago and then it disappeared. A year ago, or so, I was looking for this story on the other thread and no one knew the title or author!  Thank you, for inadvertently finding it for me and letting me know, I am not insane!  :D

What's funnier is that I have had this on my kindle for over a year, maybe even two and still have not read it.  Then I opened it up and quickly read through the chapters to confirm it was it and YES it is!  She originally self published it and then it was published by a bigger firm.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!   :-*

Ps, not the best story out there to come from FFN, but still it was driving me crazy!

Can you share hon?

Holy Cow,  gone for 2 days and 10 pages to catch up on.   But let me just say, it was worth the laughs.

As for the "Diva Cup".  I think I am going to try it also.  Might be TMI but,  I get my period for only 2 days and it generally is light.  I hate wearing pads,  I feel like everyone can see them but Tampons also give me cramps.

Astro:  Love your drunk dog story.  Kinda reminded me of my drunk sister In law.  (opps did i say that out loud  ;) )

As for Rec's,  I have not been reading much,  to busy trying to get my Calibre organized.  Did not realize i had to so books.

Now onto something that broke my heart with my Daughter.  She is in 2nd grade.  Now I raise my kids the same way I was on certain things.  One of those things is that  It does not matter what we look like on the outside,  it is what is inside that matters.   Well I had to pick up a very upset and confused little girl  :'( from school on Friday because another girl in her class whom my daughter thought was a friend came up to her and said " We can not be friends anymore because we don't look the same."  I am so upset over this.  I immediately called her mother when we got home,  Not to yell at her or accuse her but to inform her of what happend.  She blew it off like it was a fly on sh!t.   :pulling . '

Am i totally wrong to be so upset over this.  I mean I know that everyone has different parenting styles but give me a break it is only 2nd grade.  Where would she learn something like that.

Phew ok I am off my soapbox now or I wont ever  :sign0090:

I'm with you on this.  Though I wonder if there was a conversation at the other child's house that night.   Hopefully the mom just blew it off until she talked to her kid.  Kids break up and get back together all the time.

And then again, I've know kids who dump friends because the kids they want to hang with tell them to.

Whatever, I'm  really sorry your daughter's feelings were hurt.  And if that is the kind of friend that other kid is, she is probably better off without her around.   Though it is hard to understand when you are in 2nd grade.  :-\

I told my daughter that "if that is how she feels that she is not the type of friend you want to have."  She kind of understood me.  I hope the mom had a talk with her because that is just so wrong in my book

Hey, what does 2nd grade mean? I mean what age? My kids would be 8 years old in 2nd grade (school starts with 6/7 years), but I think you mean an earlier age, right?

I, for myself, try not to interfere with my children's friends. I listen to them vent, I try to point out when someone appears to be a shitty friend, when we have other kids over for play dates I try to reign my children in when they start being too bossy. I'm somewhat feared by some friends because I'm as strict about our rules with guests as with my own kids  ;)

What did the other girl mean with not looking alike? Is it about the clothing or glasses or what? Children often look for conformity, make friends with others that are similar to them. It's comforting and helps feel safe. That's no excuse to bully someone not fitting in the group!

What I would do if that happened to my daughter: I would tell her that appearances are not important, that the other girl would come around eventually and then ecourage her to befriend someone else. Talk about the other kids in her class, who she likes, who would be nive to have around for a playdate etc.
And first of all I would give her a huge hug.
If there are more problems over the next days/weeks, I would contact the teacher, not the mom. The incident happened at school so they should know about that.

I just looked up For You, Anything and it is not the same story that Love Unscripted is.  Hopefully, someone will know the original name and author of the story.  I'm still just so happy that Booked mentioned the story!  Can't keep the smile from my face.   :)

limomx2,  what you did was perfect!  Children learn from their parents and it seems that that child is emulating hers.  The best you can do is to keep telling your little one what you did and to stay strong.  She did nothing wrong and sadly this happens to a lot of kids.

I went through it with my first.  She was a tomboy, tall, thin but muscular, blond hair and blue eyes.  She hated dresses!  Loved jeans and flip flops or tennis shoes.  She hung out with mostly boys and loved sports and life.  Girls started to give her a bad time and called her a lesb*** when she was 11 and then no girls would be her friends. Even some of the guys quite hanging around with her. She was devastated.  It took over a year for the rumors and names to stop when she found out that jealousy was behind it all.

Yours is so much younger and it's harder to explain but I truly hope that she stands tall and tries to put it behind her.  Good luck!

Aaaaagh - I just spent 5 minutes writing a reply to you and ended up being logged out before I pressed post!

Here is the now condensed version.

Children are bloody evil!

Let your daughter know that no, she is not the same as she is so special she is unique.

Unfortunately, girls are really bitchy.

I would also let the school know if the problem persists.

EDIT - The cynical side of me wonders where the child got it from, based on the mother's (non) reaction.

Thanks for clearing some facts!  :-*

When you are friends with the mom, I would try to let it go for the moment and wait a bit. Perhaps they play again together tomorrow as if nothing happened. Perhaps the other girl was told that same sentence over the weekend from other (perhaps older) kids? And she believed it and told it your daughter not to be mean but because she believed it is true?

You sound like a great mom and will do the exact right thing for your daughter.  :-*

Thanks.  I hope it clears up.  When i spoke to my daughter early after she got home from school,  she said school was terrible ( she LOVES school ) and would not go into detail.  Will talk to her when I get home.

I am reading a fic at the moment where Bella is a 26 year old virgin.  She has been watching Edward for 4 years without speaking to him and he is apparently late twenties/early thirties and as good looking/interesting as usual.

They finally get together and when it come down to the talk - it turns out he is too!   ???

Is this just me, or is this completely unrealistic.

Yes, very unrealistic! But I rather read fics about virgins in their twenties than about 15 year old kids with multiple partners. ;)

But honestly? I don't get it. When the characters are supposed to be mature adults their sexual history shouldn't matter. All there is to know is what birthcontrol to use and when the last health check was. What is the obsession with virgins? Why?
