Yes, very unrealistic! But I rather read fics about virgins in their twenties than about 15 year old kids with multiple partners. ;)

But honestly? I don't get it. When the characters are supposed to be mature adults their sexual history shouldn't matter. All there is to know is what birthcontrol to use and when the last health check was. What is the obsession with virgins? Why?

I think it's probably because Edward was a 107 year old virgin in the books.  A/H stories should not try to follow this, in my opinion anyway.

I read the first chapter; please don't tell me they're gonna do it  ;) in chapter and be in love in chapter three.

Ok, forget that, they didn't do it in chapter two but I think I flounced this one before, because of how the author writes.

I am reading a fic at the moment where Bella is a 26 year old virgin.  She has been watching Edward for 4 years without speaking to him and he is apparently late twenties/early thirties and as good looking/interesting as usual.

They finally get together and when it come down to the talk - it turns out he is too!   ???

Is this just me, or is this completely unrealistic.
Depends on how shy or religious they are. I didn't lose my virginity until I was 23...a mix of shyness, too busy with work & school,  and a crappy job where the men were either gay or older married guys.  It only got "lost" because I got a male friend to um take care of it.  So yeah, I can believe it. ;)

Probably goes back to the original Twilight.  Though really, Bella was sure trying to lose it before the wedding.  :D :D :D :D

LOL!  Working today and it's also trash day (the day you have to put the garbage out by the curb so they will pick it up)  which means empty the fridge day as well. Such fun! :P

At 11pm last night I realised I was out of snacks for the kids lunch boxes (i went to raid the stash and there was nothing there!) so I made a run to the nearer supermarket that stays open till midnight and on the way home I stopped at a kebab shop and decided to reach out to you guys lol. It was after midnight when I sent that message.

So glad all is ok. To tell you the truth, when I watch the news and hear about what's going on in the world (especially the U.S lately) I find myself praying that all my online friends and their family are ok. As if I didn't have enough to worry about!!!

Lol, well it's a hard title to win and I'm intending on keeping it whether it kills me or not - which at this rate is looking more than likely.  :D

We've had a name since we found out we were having a girl, but we've not told anyone what it is. But everyone knows her middle name as it's a family name on the hubby's side - it's Bordeaux as that's the name of the last girl born in his family which was nearly 60 years ago!!

God forbid! We'd rather have you :-*

And talk about a drought! 60 years - your husband (and you of course) should receive an award or something lol

CWIA was one of the first fics I ever read-- i remember that I really liked it but that may he because I hadn't read anything yet.  LOL

I loved PoF.  I actually love Prisonward. :)
In Mates by jonesn353402 is a WIP that is pretty good.  It started out as a OS and it was pretty hot but Edward has gone from bad boy to wishy washy.  maybe just read the first chapter. it hasn't been updating regularly.

Where the Sidewalk Ends by BronzeHairedGirl620 is REALLY good.  Edward is in Alcatraz and the author did a lot of research and it's written really well.  A few twists and a HEA.

And Inside Man by ooza is really good too.

With his parole fast approaching, inmate Edward Masen is looking for a friend. College student Bella Swan stumbles across his profile on a prison pen-pal website. Their friendship is formed over written words, but will it last once he rejoins her world?

Now onto something that broke my heart with my Daughter.  She is in 2nd grade.  Now I raise my kids the same way I was on certain things.  One of those things is that  It does not matter what we look like on the outside,  it is what is inside that matters.   Well I had to pick up a very upset and confused little girl  :'( from school on Friday because another girl in her class whom my daughter thought was a friend came up to her and said " We can not be friends anymore because we don't look the same."  I am so upset over this.  I immediately called her mother when we got home,  Not to yell at her or accuse her but to inform her of what happend.  She blew it off like it was a fly on sh!t.   :pulling . '

Am i totally wrong to be so upset over this.  I mean I know that everyone has different parenting styles but give me a break it is only 2nd grade.  Where would she learn something like that.

Phew ok I am off my soapbox now or I wont ever  :sign0090:

That's really sad :( I think what you did was great. My daughter (who is now 9) was only 7 years old and was eating a snack size chocolate bar when a couple of older girls who was maybe 12 or 13 started picking on her and told her to be careful because that piece of chocolate was gonna make her fat. My daughter came off the school bus crying her little eyes out because she was worried about getting fat. She was like this for a few weeks, always saying she wasn't hungry even for dinner. Mind you she's really thin and wears a size of the average 6 year old till now but not once did i tell her shes "skinny" or "thin" because i think too much emphasis is placed on body shape. I've never complained about my weight in front of her and when I joined the gym I told her it was because I wanted to be fit (again I didn't mention weight). She now knows that it doesn't matter what shape she or her friends are, the most important thing is being kind to one another.

See I loved CWIA but then again I don't need "happy, happy, joy, joy" to enjoy a fic. In fact, being the Hoor that I am, the more angst the better! Don't give up on it yet!

This fic has the most mistakes per page than I have EVER seen.

On just the first page:

"Jake, did I leave my notebook in your car?" I bellow be for he even says hello."

2nd page:
"Before I made the football team I was just shy of band geeky enough to be banded from the cafeteria tables myself. I shiver and shake off the thought and."
I need a translator!

This:
"I grabbed Alice as she was walking into the math lab for last period and drug her behind me away from the door."    Seriously, drug!?!?

And i love Alice's psychic abilities here (and signing, not sighing)
"Sex kitten red or Garter belt pink?" she holds up my choices. I sign and point to the red one. I hate this stuff but secretly love having sexy painted toes.
"I know you secretly love it when I force you to paint your toes." Alice laughs. How does she do that?"

And then this:
"I smile to myself as I walk to first period and leave Edward Cullen gapping at me."

And what does this mean?
"You do know that have to totally get Edward though right."

The word 'was' is in this sentence three times! "I took seventeen notebooks today and still didn't find was I was looking for which was my notebook."  (And it's not his notebook - it's Bella's!)

"Well were just gonna hang out until Alice gets here and hoefully Bella will be with Alice and I can umm ask her out."
Were - Hoefully!  :D

This may be the best:
" I went back to the seen of the crime"

Sorry for being such a bitch and pointing out all these mistakes.  (These are just the best ones, there's more). The story sounded so good and then I couldn't stop laughing and the story is less than 40 pages long!
 :D :D :D

I just looked up For You, Anything and it is not the same story that Love Unscripted is.  Hopefully, someone will know the original name and author of the story.  I'm still just so happy that Booked mentioned the story!  Can't keep the smile from my face.   :)

I can only conclude that I am addicted to fanfic and it will forever stay with me. i switched to read "real books" to take a break from my fanfic run, only to unwittingly select a former fanfic. And, to be changing in my mind the names of the characters and their descriptions to fit the twilight gang... Oh well, I can finally admit ... hi, i am Booked and I am a Twilight Fanfic addict.  :)

The whole book being a fanfic has happened to me before! It was a story about two people stuck on Lake Shore Drive in a storm, and I read it as a fanfic and then unknowingly bought the book version too. It was the most surreal thing, as I KNEW I'd read it as fanfic but couldn't seem to find anything online to prove it :P

Damn you Lauren! I finally get back here after 2 very long work days, clicked the link expecting Robporn and now I have to keep singing this!

Oh well, at least I can now stop singing this:

Not the best earworm to have! I've been humming it all day after learning that Chrissy Amphlett had passed away.

I saw her playing Judy Garland in The Boy From Oz a few years ago - she was amazingly talented.

Ouch!! I keep getting told my the hubby not to pick Saxon up so much as he's a very kicky baby and quite chunky but he's only just turned 10 months, so how could I not pick him up.
I kept telling him, I more likely to put myself in hospital then Saxon as I'm the clumsiest person ever.

Bordeaux is such a unique and unusual name - very pretty.

But if you tell me that Bump's first name is going to be Renesmee, I will reach through my laptop and virtually slap you upside the head!

Holy Cow,  gone for 2 days and 10 pages to catch up on.   But let me just say, it was worth the laughs.

As for the "Diva Cup".  I think I am going to try it also.  Might be TMI but,  I get my period for only 2 days and it generally is light.  I hate wearing pads,  I feel like everyone can see them but Tampons also give me cramps.

Astro:  Love your drunk dog story.  Kinda reminded me of my drunk sister In law.  (opps did i say that out loud  ;) )

As for Rec's,  I have not been reading much,  to busy trying to get my Calibre organized.  Did not realize i had to so books.

:pulling . You are totally RIGHT to be upset by this! Unfortunately, it happens to much and starts at such a young age.

Have you considered talking to your daughter's teacher? If any teacher in my school was made aware of this, they would immediately do an activity to celebrate our differences.

Let your daughter know she is special because she is unique!

But remember, at that age, they will probably be friends again tomorrow, so try not to make too big a thing about it.

limomx2,  what you did was perfect!  Children learn from their parents and it seems that that child is emulating hers.  The best you can do is to keep telling your little one what you did and to stay strong.  She did nothing wrong and sadly this happens to a lot of kids.

I went through it with my first.  She was a tomboy, tall, thin but muscular, blond hair and blue eyes.  She hated dresses!  Loved jeans and flip flops or tennis shoes.  She hung out with mostly boys and loved sports and life.  Girls started to give her a bad time and called her a lesb*** when she was 11 and then no girls would be her friends. Even some of the guys quite hanging around with her. She was devastated.  It took over a year for the rumors and names to stop when she found out that jealousy was behind it all.

Yours is so much younger and it's harder to explain but I truly hope that she stands tall and tries to put it behind her.  Good luck!

Why must girls be so nasty to each other?  :pulling

Children are bloody evil!

EDIT - The cynical side of me wonders where the child got it from, based on the mother's (non) reaction.

My friends tell me that sometimes when I say "mother" or "parents", I make it sound like a really dirty word!

Not all children are evil - only the ones with evil mothers!

When I am Ruler of the Earth, people will need to pass a test before they breed! They don't need to be smart - they just need to care!
