I think having the SPaG errors here is more fun.  They sometimes help keep the conversation going, plus they're funny and we shouldn't totally rely on Astro to provide our comedic relief.
Yeah, I was thinking that too.  ;D

I think I envy you if you can keep it as a hobby.  For some of us, it has reached true addiction levels.

Hi!  My name if ficfangirl and I'm a fanfic addict!
Have you seen my profile statement?  :D :D :D :D

What do you mean the kitchen needs cleaning?  Okay, after this chapter... or the next....or the next....

Sigh.

So I may be an addict too, but I already admitted to being OCD with errors so I didn't want to come off as too much of a freak! :)
LOL!  I think we are all a little OCD around here.  So you will fit right in...

Am I being even more thick than usual or is that sentence incomprehensible to anyone else even with the correction? I've read it 4 or 5 times and I'm completely lost.

See, that's why I said earlier that I am a little intimidated by this story. Yes, B has issues, but damn should I be developing some of my own as I read this story.
This whole Fic is riddled with shite like that quote. Every other page you go ...huh?

On a more uplifting note, whomever recced The Cullen Legacy, thank you. It's really good.

  • Hi! I'm Ellachanted and I'm a fanfic-oholic.
So I have hundreds of stories on my reading list, yet I can't seem to get past the first chapter in most of the stuff I try lately.  This is not to say they are bad stories.  Many have been rec'd here over and over.  But I can't seem to keep my mind focused long enough. I'd ask for rec's but I'm not sure it will help.  Time to reread something I guess. Or clean the house. You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login

I was going through a similar phase not long ago and took to mostly reading one shots or very short stories. After a while I got bored of not having enough character development, and then it was back to full-length fics again ;D

Lauren now will have to read Caravaggio. I was telling her how people on ADF were disappointed with the ending. She started defending the author. Lol
Lauren now is officially an author and not a reader anymore.

So I'm giving you homework.  We need to know if they were being unfair or not

Yeah, I've been reading one-shots and short drabbly things.

I've been avoiding WIP's lately because the ones I am following aren't updating or they finished.  But I really miss the once a week excitement of my story updating.

But all the WIPs I've seen lately are not grabbing me.  Sigh....   I might have to read a...a....a....BOOK!You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login

I was in the same position last week.

I have read some really good books recently, one of the better ones was Pushing the Limits by Katie McGarry - give it a try.  It would have made a great fic.

You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login has FINALLY completed. 4 years in the making!

Is it even worth anymore? I erased this from my story alert because I thought I would never finish, I guess it did after I erased it.

But to go back and read it, meh I'm too lazy. ^-^

Is that the one with Echo and Noah? I loved that! High school aged books seem to be much more tolerable than HS fics.

I haven't personally read it yet because it was incomplete, but DD said some people were complaining about it over on ADF.

  • Can't let go of an idea? Create your own story!
This is probably a blasphemous thought but here goes…  What if Twilight became a TV series?  A series that would hold true to the original storyline and then some of our favorite FFN stories could be written into various areas. We’d get more of the other characters that you only read about in detail from FFN. With all the thousands of plotlines out there, I’d say we could have a good twenty years of shows.  Of course, all the characters would have to be replaced at different times but still if they kept all the wigs from the movies-it might work!  When not reading, this is how my mind works.  :D
Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.

You know they'd ruin it.  We're better off with the ff authors' and our imaginations.  Now get to work on some of those plot bunnies you told me about!  :040:

So, I decided to hold off on The Real Life of E.A. Masen and am going to read Faking It by spanglemaker9 instead.   It's really great so far!  Anyone else read it?

Half of Hollywood's most famous couples are faking it. That's how Bella Swan's publicist convinces her to pretend to date troubled Hollywood bad boy Edward Cullen. And she'll do anything for her band and her music.
