Mystery, suspense, drama, love, history.  An amazing AH Edward/Bella fic set at the turn of the last century.

So...I'm reading a Jasper/Bella fic that is just...atrocious with the amount of errors in it but so help me, I cannot stop reading it. Normally I would have flounced by page 2, it's that bad but the story line is good sooo....

That said, some of the mistakes are just...w.t.f. I just read this one and 

"I find nothing more calming than that. My menstruations elicited a purr from her and the sound turned..."

I know what the author meant, I can decipher all of her mistakes but really? Confusing ministrations for menstruation?

And the really sad part? She claims that there is a beta.

I read one that had really bad SPaG a couple of weeks ago.  Like a fool I read to the end because I wanted to know what happened.  Now I can't even remember what it was, I just x'd it off my list and went on to something better.  All I can remember is it was a Jasper fic.  I usually flounce the really bad stuff, but I stuck with that one all the way through and then wondered why the hell I read it.

I am still reading S and S as I can't remember how it ends and this one just made me LOL.

This is a published book so I would assume it has been edited?

Thanks. The first week of work after being off for a few days is always awful.  Don't forget that I included myself in that bit of name calling. 

Seduction and Snacks - used to be The Vagina Monologues.  I might end up leaving it for a while as there a lot of errors.

Interesting that there are lots of errors in the published version.  My memory of jtmd24's fanfic writing is that it was pretty clean and well-written.  Am I remembering incorrectly?

Hi, I'm D and I am desperate.  I have been looking for a few kinds of fics and have had very little luck.  What I want are missing secne and or other povs.  I would love an expanded moment of when Jessica gives Bella her coat back at school.  What was she thinking?!  Anything on the days after Edward came back, there had too have been loads of gossip, and anything with others observations of E/B.  One more, I wonder are there any stories with E/B taking Reneseme out as her P's?  Thank for any help and you guys rock, I really do love this place

I've been amazed at how poorly edited books have become.  It's not just the little publishing houses like TWCS.  YA fiction is notorious for being poorly edited.  I'll admit that the smutty books I've been spending time reading don't even seem to be proofed, much less edited.  But I believe the same sloppiness is being seen in more highbrow publications.  Maybe it's due to all the cost cutting taking place in the publishing world due to lower volumes as people turn to the internet.

That is sad but unfortunately, probably true.

Having said that, I am seriously contemplating writing to my local newspaper to offer myself up as a spell-checker.  Making spelling mistakes on the front page is ridiculous.  My grammar skills are not fantastic but, spelling mistakes bug the heck out of me.
