That looks like a nice one, though I hate this new trend where phones are really thin - to me they just seem breakable. Whatever happened to flip phones?

I have no idea which to get, so I'm probably just going to go with whatever I like the look of most (something that makes my boyfriend despair!). One of my housemates has a phone with Microsoft Word and Powerpoint on.. what's the point?! So weird.

I love my iPhone and rec them to everyone I know. I have dropped it repeatedly - face down on cement and pavers and stones - and it isn't even chipped. I put on a screen protector (the little sheet of sticky plastic that always manages to get bubbles when I put them on!) and just have it in a little blingy plastic case that cost $25 - like this but red:



I have to get a work mobile! An email came through from the boss saying that all principals have to get a phone so that we can be reached 24/7 in the event of an emergency - even though they have my home and mobile number and every holidays we have to give them a list of emergency contacts. This is my 14th year of being a principal and no-one has ever contacted me for an emergency - and I once had a helicopter crash when it was attempting to land at my school, killing all 5 on board! Not one phone call!!!

The state government has cut the school budget because the state is essentially broke (4 natural disasters in 4 years is apparently quite expensive!) so we're supposed to be reducing our spending and now I have to get another phone to carry around! And no doubt it will be a brick because it'll be the cheapest model! And no fancy plans because we have to go through the state provider!

Yep - I'm a little bitter and jaded tonight.

Good news is we passed our Audit with a B+ "Your controls are effective". We're the first school in 6 months to get higher than a C - yay us!

Which reminds me, has everyone seen the girl on YouTube who watches Twilight trailers and starts hysterically crying from her excitement? She's also posted over on ADF a few times, apparently. They get all the crazies!

ED doctors must see so many patients. We only go to the Emergency department in absolute emergency, nothing worse than having to sit in the ED for hours and hours. Of course there are times when you can't go to the doctors and have to go to the ED and then you have to suffer through the hours and hours of waiting. I think all hospitals need to be like the Royal Children's, with 2 story aquariums, beanbag theatres and meerkats, those damn meerkats are so cute!

You could try Windex, but I wouldn't know where to spray it for a sinus infection! 

My desert island packing list has to include:

Did they check for strep throat? Sounds a lot like it. Sometimes those ER docs are so focused on getting people in and out that they don't know shit from clay. Hope MiniMatron feels better soon anyway

Yeah they swabbed, said it was negative. Of course today I'm coughing my head off, and since sinus infections supposedly aren't contagious, who knows what it is?

Beggars can't  be choosers!  I don't pay anything for my  phone as I am just added to my Hubby's contract.  Believe me, this phone  is a major step up from the Sony Ericsson I had before.  i phones are ridiculously expensive on a monthly contract here.  I'm loving your case.

Work phones are usually bricks with no functionality for some reason. The only bonus is the free calls.   Will you have to pay for the privilege of having it?

I've finally finished reading Caged and I've got to say I loved it. 

I won't go into detail as there are people still reading it, but, if you haven't read it give it a go. 

I will say that I laughed and cried several times whilst reading it.

Tonight, I'm baking, reading and trying lychee martinis - I feel like I'm going through a Bridget Jones phase. How sad!

I am off work for the next two days and I'm home all by myself. It's like a mini vacation. Please someone, anyone give me a good story to read. I want something with a hea, B&E, not too much angst, some smut and well written. It's gonna be cold and raining all weekend so I want to curl up by the fire and just enjoy my own company with a good Fic or two.
