Well, going back to biology classes a couple of decades ago, it doesn't really run in families, per say.

Identical twins means one egg/one sperm split into two sets. It is a freaky phenomenon of nature and do not run in families.

Fraternal twins (not identical) means the woman released at least two eggs that became fertilized. That is the problem with some of the fertility drugs. They cause your body to release eggs that you might not release on your own. The issue is that you can release many. With millions of little swimmers around if you release 10 and you could wind up with sextuplets or worse !

Now to take that a step futher, lets look at cats/dogs/and the rest of the animal kingdom. Ever seen a litter of kittens that one or two look different than the mother and who you thought the father was? Well, technically each baby can have a different father.

It is actually a myth I think about twins running in families. Now maybe your mother or grandmother was hyper ovulated (constantly releasing more than one egg) and that is a trait that you could inherit. But since women are the only ones that ovulate, twins on your hubbies side, will not effect you.

Dr Mickey has had no formal training in medicine. Please seek no advice.   :D

I'm 4 chapters in with Complicated

It's soooo stupid.
Sorry but you are not allowed to view spoiler contents.

Omg. There is a show on home and health that tells stories like that.

At this day and age it's unbelievable.

So, I'm dying for the gossip, someone mentioned they don't like Lk (the author) and now I'm curious why!

I have found that some people who are ADF aholics and it's their religion are hypocrites. I used to go on that site (have you read some of the fics they've recc'd?) I mean objectifying? Bugger off, stupidheads or at least get the story straight!

WORD!!!  :iagree:

No worries :) I don't know if they are difficult. I had two at once so I didn't know the difference. I thought it was normal to go for an ultrasound every two weeks! Alas, apparently it's not.

I'd like to have two at once, just get it all out the away one time! One set of stretch marks, one years gym membership to get back into my pre-baby clothes, on set of morning sickness and bladder issues and  :poo:issues, and sleepless nights and teething and every other issues that come with procreating so that the human race doesn't die out....Yeah, twins is the way to go...

True, the first fic I read had no sexin at all. Cried like a baby, like ugly cried but it was enough to get me hooked :)

What was the first fic you read SavyB? I think mine might have been Wide Awake too I really can't phucking remember! How weird is that? Or, it's early onset Alzheimer's....

It was me. I don't like her attitude and how she addresses her readers. It bugs me like nothing else. If I don't like the author, I don't read their fics. She's an exception because the first fic I read of hers I didn't get that feeling. Her others... wellllll

I think the first fic I read was Numb, can't remember the name of the author.

Lola shoes(?) trilogy was also a first.

It took me a long time to venture in the AH world.

There are many things I am clueless on and those I remain quiet or ask questions. It feels good every once in awhile to know something. I am like wow? I know something you don't know?  ???

I wasn't trying to come across condescending, but trying to communicate my thoughts intelligibly.  :'(

I was on twitter for a while last year. I know I followed her but can't say I remember anything from her.

I don't always read author notes, I mostly skim it.

But famous authors get big headed. And you can see by how it affects their writing. They get more bold. And not always in a good way. That normally translate in plot twists that pi.sses the readers.

It depends on the author. I can't remember some I've read.

Haha! Great! Twins can 'run in families' if the women possess the hyper ovulation gene, but since only women ovulate it is only shows down the female line (a fact many FF writers seem to forget, Edward is forever sending Bella up the duff with twins when it's his side that they run in). I'm assuming it's carried on the X chromosome then that X would be passed to a female from a father, but still, doesn't work like FF world thinks it does, Edward would give the contaminated X to his daughter, but he can't very well give it to Bella...Men can carry the gene, but they can't express it (or if they can there is something seriously wrong...  :P) And there is still only a 50/50 chance that Edward would have gotten that X from his mum if it's a dominant trait...and now I think I'm thinking about this far to much, although there is a 50/50 chance I have this gene. Yay for me!
