I serioulsy think it's only in the US. In Canada it's when they are in grade 5 and 7...

In the US (well back in the day I was in elementary school) grades 4-6 the boys went to one area and girls went to separate area. By the 7-9th grade in health class it was combined and we learned all about the birds and bees, what happens when boys dreamed, etc. You were sent out of class if you didn't behave and no-one wanted a note sent home to parents or In-school suspension because they acted up in s.e.x. ed class. Nope, best acting class I ever had.

OK, I just read The Practicum (mentioned earlier in the threat)

and it is funny...

but I have a question. There is S ex-Ed in highschool? Is this the first and only time the kids learn about that stuff in school? My son had classes about human anatomy, puberty, pregnancy and how to get pregnant, contraception, etc last year, when he was nine...

I think it depends on the area. When I was in school, we did basic sex ed in 6th grade. They separated girls from boys, and got  lessons on periods and hormones and changing bodies, and how babies were made. In high school, we got the more in depth class, complete with icky STD pictures and the condom on a banana lessons.  Students had to get a letter signed by parents to take both classes. By then, we'd already had a shitton of girls pregnant, so it was a bit too late, but at least they did it.

Clipped Wings and Inked Armor and then Misapprehension of Bella Swan.  hunterhunting is my all time favorite.
Then Wide Awake. . .  And the rest is history. Now I'm an addict!

Haha. In Aus Sex-Ed starts in year 5 too. I had it every year until year 10. Each year leans a little more away from the 'dealing with puberty' & where babies come from and a little more to the 'how to have an enjoy sex', discussing birth control, STIs, sexuality, conception and child birth. In years 9 and 10 we also had Drug Ed, it's all pretty graphic one you hit HS in year 7.

My kids have started already. (year 1 and 5)  It begins with planting seeds and watching them grow - progresses each year.  I've already had a mini talk with my daughter.

Des anyone know if I can attach pictures from the camera roll on my iPad to a post here?  The "Add Attachment" box the bottom of this Post Reply box (where I'm thinking now) does nothing when I click on it.  Maybe I just can't do it on my ipad  ???

The separation was only in the beginning and only once per year. Good thing too because I wouldn't have wanted to learn all of that the very first time in front of everyone. Mom didn't teach me shit. She thought she was pregnant when dad felt her boob when they were courting. I was the oldest of two girls in the family. She finally asked me when I was about to be married that we needed "to talk". So I turned to her, straight face and asked what did she need to learn?

Yup she turned beet red. Stood up and walked away.

Well I was trying to write some fanfiction after reading for so long but I'm terrible at prose and apparently even worse with lemons. Therefore, I have given up. :banghead:

I think my first fic was Loner over on Twilighted. What a way to start, eh? Suprised I didn't run screaming.

That's a doozy to start with.

I love writing lemons...

The way Edward rests his hand on the curve of her hip, the slow sensual kisses that he leaves along her neck, the delicate tracing of her jaw with his nose as he breathes her in. *sigh* I need to write
