LOL!! I knew that as soon as I had posted, but, couldn't take it back - sorry!

How did you get the reference then??

I had a friend from the UK when I was in college who introduced me!  Also, LOVE The Young Ones. Did you watch that? I think I may have been watching the reruns when I saw it -- not sure though.

Lays head on desk and mumbles. My oldest son was born in 91. I was married in 1989. So they did that way more than 20 years ago. Takes a long time for the south to change its traditions.

We're not that far apart then. I married in 94, my oldest was born in  95. We worked fast, lol, found out I was preggers weeks before the wedding.

And yes, the south IS slow to change. I know my daughter did the same class in around 6th grade too.

How old were you when you got married?  According to the world of fanfic it is perfectly normal to get married at 18/22/24 - is that really the case?
