Thanks SavyB. Talking about Johnnyboy has anyone read his ( I assume it's a man?) Half Vampire Chronicles? Not interested in Nessie one little bit but there are THREE stories in that series!

I have to admit I didn't like his style of writing. All of the summaries sounded great and I tried a few, but, just couldn't get into them at all.
I haven't read a decent mobward yet as they all seem too cliche.

I finished up Departures by TheFicChick and loved it. Best written fic I've read in ages, could have been an actual book, the editing was that good. No wrong words, and I think I only noticed one obvious mistake, and I can't remember what it was.

There were little hints in this one (when Edward took charge of Bella in the bar after Angela and Ben left) of a take charge guy, and now I'm jonesin' for a good alpha male lead. Can someone help me? I want: well written, proper word usage, take charge alpha male, but not an asshole, good lemons, good UST before the main event. By take charge, I DON'T mean BDSM, just a man who takes charge a little bit. MoTU is about as "dom" as I can do. Also, I don't care who the male lead is, Edward, Jasper, Peter, really, I think I could do anyone but Carlisle, not there yet, lol!

So anyone got any recs for me on this one?

Are you crazy?! If LAMTAF is the one I'm thinking of (Bella and Jasper are siblings and go to Edward for a job?) then I really disliked that. Edward was such a tosser! The writing smacked of being immature in places, too. There Will Be Blood was much better than that. Shame on you

I find it's very difficult to find a well written Mobward.

I know what you mean - I find quite a few of them start of really promising and then become quite cliched after a bit.
One of my faves has got to be EP even though towards the end she started to repeat herself but after that many chapters I'm sure anyone would.

It took a while and quite a bit of varied searching but I found it - yay!!

I didn't flounce that fic 5 times. I haven't liked anything JB has written. Still on the fence about The Affair. There are waaaayyyy too many spelling and grammar errors for me *shrugs*

Again, I read this a WIP and my tastes have changed. I should go back and read it

Just had a phone call from my God-Daughter letting me know that she had given birth to a little boy earlier today.

When she told me she had called him Edward Anthony I let her know I'm gonna call him Cullen she had no idea what I was going on about.

Maybe I do read too many fanfics - joking, coz there's no way anyone can read too much.

Talking of Mobward I found (another) fic in my TBR list I didn't even know I had - I found Johnnyboy7 - There Will be Blood, does anyone know if it's any good?
I've also decided that I'm gonna do like Demaris and wait until the 3rd one in The Storm Trilogy by SexyLexiCullen is complete - that way I can read them altogether.

I flounced there will be blood. Can't remember why.
I tried reading it as a wip.
