I hate drama for the sake of drama too, but I think i didn't feel that way about Finding My Thunder because it made me remember all the stories my pops used to tell me about the 40s, 50s, and 60s. Plus, I don't read reviews and I'm no longer on FB so this is the first I'm hearing about the author being big headed so luckily I got to just read it without any hype or preconceived notions.

i mean big headed because she is popular so she is getting more adventurous with her plots.
for me, it feels like they are trying to push the readers limits. i havent heard anything bad about her.

its like savage, she can write whatever and she still has a fanbase.

i feel we end up being a social experiment. how much can we take.

On finding my thunder for me it was too much pain for Bella. Give the characther a break. I actually liked that it was a period fic. i like those.

The Perfect Wife gave me an ulcer and my face was almost permanently in a expression. I don't know how you could re-read it. I can feel the acid building up in my tummy just thinking about it.

I find the first 100 or so pages makes me so angry and cry quite a bit, once I'm past the bit where

But I just find that it's one of those fics that stick with you after you've finished it and read 100's of others.
I'm re-reading it as I'm in a bit of an angsty mood atm.

TB23 is like this. With the popularity of Dusty, she turned into a jerk. Slamming people etc. Lucky I found this out after I read the fic.

Thats what happened with Mrs.Grey(MOTU).

I havent heard anything bad from counselor. Or even savage.

Fanfiction its different than books, you get reviews, so that might impact the story.
And i guess reviews can be addictive.
So thats why you get many plot twists, cause even an angry review is better than no review at all.

I didn't read this one. I heard it wasn't very good

I personally love anything 60', always have.

But for all the reviews and rec's this fic had I thought it was boring as Shit. I finished, but only because I kept thinking something totally exciting and rave worthy was going to happen. It never did.

my mum is dumb. i tried to tell her how awful it was. i didnt like it as a fic.
but she said everyone on her facebook and instagram timeline were reading it. so she was curious.

my mom is a people pleaser. she plays for the crowd.

we are veeeeery different

I'd like to see that interview? Was she talking about all her readers or the group who mostly likely slammed her for PSP?

And on another note, who has s ex with a manwhore QB without a condom?It's like me sleeping with Ashley Cole without dosing him in bleach!

I think I read somewhere that Fifty had become the best selling books EVER, so I'd imagine Fifty outsold Twilight.

The thing that bugs me the most about EL James and her people, having missed all the fandom drama, is the sheer cheek it takes for HER to issue takedown notices to other people. There was a Fifty fanfic that was going P2P, and it suddenly disappeared without a trace. Notices have been sent to companies doing "Fifty" themed sex toy parties, to a pron studio for doing a Fifty pron.

It just takes a fat LOT of nerve to make all this cash on someone else's characters, and then throw a hissy fit at other people doing exactly what you did.

YES!!!! I had heard that she went ballistic that people were writing Ana/Christian fics and when Casea Major was going to P2P, EL went crazy and I haven't heard anything about that fic being published since. I know she (Casea Major) even had it on her blog with a pic, but it was gone after there was news that EL and "her people" threatened to sue or something.

which translates to anyone who read Fifty, because Fifty is a fic. She didn't change anything but name of the title and the characters, so it's still a fic to me.
