Just finished reading The Fantasy Basket. I don't remember who rec'd it but I have to say I didn't like it. If I was a flouncer I would have flounced, unfortunately my personality does not allow me this privilege. I'm tossing between Fatherhood, Formula and other F words or The Inside Man to start reading next. They've both been recently completed and they both look ok. Did anyone here read them as WIP's?

I read Inside Man as a WIP, which I never do... but its a good read no real angst.

I haven't read either, but since this thread has been pretty quiet the last few days, I will say Inside Man had a lot of good recs here.  Everyone seemed to like Prisonward.

I haven't heard anything good or bad about Fatherhood, etc... so if you have to choose? Inside Man is a better choice.   ;)

Thanks hun. Now I need some visuals - Rdmickey? Astro? Anyone? Help a sister out with some badboy, tatted Edward please? You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login

I totally flounced Inside Man when it was a wip, I got really bored when he became an outside man lol. I thought it would have more angst than what it had....at least up until I gave it the flick

Ive noticed all the Jacob fics, too...I just hope that if all the authors leave ffn, that one site is designated for them. When you end up with 7 fic sites and blogs people get confused and authors get 'lost' in the shuffle. It ends up being impossible to keep up which is an everyone always goes bad to ffn

I have minor food poisoning before.  I should never eat leftovers LOL! But this was bad. Burning up & chills at the same time. It was an interesting experience I ever don't want to repeat  :P

Samsies... the only update I got, besides Frontline was Carano's fics... I'm sick so I really haven't been reading anything but yeah. it's messed up and I don't like what's going on.
Caged updated as well. That is a good one. Wip's are not my thing, but I do follow the ones I like. What I do is I read a couple chapters of a Fic and if I like it I follow it for updates/completion.
I did like the first couple chapters of Frontline. Now it sounds like a lot of people are disappointed with the end. I'm hesitant to read it now.
I was following Riders of the storm but author started another Fic and is dedicating all her time to that. Plus I read somewhere that she goes in and deletes all the reviews that are not favorable. I guess that's one way of getting all glowing reviews.
My friend gave me a book Reflected in you by Sylvia Day. Anyone read it? Thoughts?

Day is a great writer. You should read the first book Bared to You, then that one. loved both books though Bared was better. That's a trilogy, the last installment, Entwined With You, will be published May 2013.

LOVE Gideon, the hero in that Crossfire Series.

Thanks, I'm going to get that first one and go for it. So I'm guessing these three books are called the Crossfire series. Btw, was she a Fic writer and are these books originals if she was.

Am not sure if she wrote fanfiction.  Yes, the 3 books are called the Crossfire series. Enjoy!  :)

Since everyone in here is so helpful, I have a tiny question: What is the best way to keep track of all the WIPs and authors you are following? I know some of you have talked about it before, but I never paid much attention. You see, I was pretty confident that FF.net would send me a notification every time something that I follow has been updated, but lately it seems that I miss more and more notifications. What do you do when that happens (besides visiting all the stories and author profiles every few days :P)

Inside Man was boring for me, the summary sounded hopefull, but nothing unexpected happened.

I am depending on the notifications per e-mail, worked always fine for me.

So you just checked what' been updated based on the date? My only problem is that instead of stories, I mostly follow authors. :( Thank you anyway, I never thought about that. I will start trying it ;)

I just follow my WIPs via FF.net. It's not the most convenient way but I'm lazy, so ;)

Well, I don't read WIPs so I don't need notifications to see when they update. The only thing that I care about is being able to grab them and get them downloaded as soon as they are completed. But, just in case it might help, I'll copy/paste what I put on the 152 thread for how I keep track of what fics I want to read when they do complete

I add any WIP that I want follow to my Ffn favorites (vs. following it because I actually don't want an email every time a chapter is added). Then I go to my "author" page several times a day to see if any completed (I'm not an author, but my favorites still show up). Super easy to see if anything has completed just from a quick look at your page.

I also have my page bookmarked to my toolbar.

Besides relying on ffn to send the emails for updates, I'm not sure how else to be able to check short of just looking every few days. You are def'y 'following' them vs. 'favoriting', right? I'm sure you are, but just suggesting it as I had them mixed up at first when they switched ffn over to the new layout.
