I have a Nook tablet yes...

Maybe I should have phrased that differently!     :D

Just wondered as my Mum has got one and has asked me to sort out some books for her.  I may be asking for help in the future!

Howdy folks! How goes everyone?

I finished up A Different Direction by GemmaLisax last night, and started Bella's Suicide by Fakin It. Not sure if this one is a finish or a flounce, the author is VERY wordy and descriptive, too much so a lot of the time.

In totally cool news, my daughter was given a brand spankin' new Kindle Paperwhite by her school today, is that awesome or what?

Wow! Really? Shoot, things done change since I went to school...Good for her!

You could request it from flagfic - he takes requests :)

I didn't know that. Thank you :D

What browser do you use? I know Chrome has a function where you can 'print' something to a PDF file, essentially the same as grabbing it with flagfic.

I use Chrome actually. I'll dig around a little bit ;) Thanks!

Lucky her (and by her, I mean you :P)! I tried reading Bella's Suicide the first chapter seemed a bit confusing, too much words...

Mine is partially jailbroken (?) - they did it at the store. So I can sideload stuff - this means I can plug it in and load all my stuff.  I also can download using Flagfic and read my fanfics.

A regular Nook, though, I don't know if they work the same.  Kindles allow sideloading from the computer (plug in with the USB cord)  You may have to have them jailbreak it for you.

Unless it lets you plug in a microSD card.  Then you just put stuff on it.

Yes, very much so, too much words.

My daughter is especially lucky, we were told she might never read at all due to an illness when she was little, and now she's known as the "reading machine" of her school. :)

I have a Nook Touch, not a Tablet, and you CAN sideload books without jailbreaking it, but because the Nook reserves most of the space for B&N content, you can't put a LOT of books on it, you have to use an SD card to hold everything not bought from B&N.

But again, I don't have the tablet, it might be different.

Awesome news for Horror fans!
Do you remember the two O/S 's Catastrophia posted a few days ago? Well she apparently decided to continue the darker one. Ok, not just darker, the pure horrific one. :P This one had an Edward who was twisted beyond belief!
Let's hope this will not turn into a lovey-dovey romance.

Yes, my tablet is about the same.  Mine isn't really jailbroken - the B&N staff just adjusted the amount available for sideloading.  Then I got a 16 GB microSD card.  So plenty of room.  I even have a couple of movies on it.

And that just shows how ignorant I am - I thought a Nook was a Nook - I sound like Mork!   :D

I have no idea which it is although I think it may be touchscreen.

I wanted to read but the warning of rape in the A/N made me exit. Not touching that with a ten foot pole.

A Nook Tablet is similar to the Kindle Fire, whereas the Nook Touch is more like the Kindle Paperwhite.

The biggest difference is the ability to easily surf the net and the backlit color screen.  Reading is about the same on any of them.

I read it and it was definitely disturbing.  I can't imagine this having a happy ending.  Edward is all kinds of delusional.

I didn't read the A/N.

Just checking in to see if our Aussie friends are ok.  I just heard about an 8.0 mag earthquake in the South Pacific and tsunami warnings in Australia and New Zealand.  Not sure where in Australia you are, but hope you and yours weren't in the path of danger.

Just dropping in quickly - already at work and waiting for my computer to fire up.

The earth did not move for me IN ANY WAY last night.

Didn't even hear about any earthquake on morning news either, but thanks for your kind thoughts.

Well since it was labeled as horror, I didn't expect anything less. I hate it when Darkward turns out to be just a misunderstood, lovey-dovey character. A serial killer is a serial killer >:D (Wow, I'm really disturbed sometimes...)

I don't necessarily expect or even want him to turn out to be a nice guy, I've read fics like Lions Eat Lambs where he's depraved and enjoyed it. Even so, rape is just something I don't want to read graphic descriptions of. It's just me being over sensitive :(

Also, The Traveler finally completed! So excited to read it, I've been following for months >:D

I'm with you. I want what it says on the tin; if it says dark then be Dark! I'll read anything and everything as long a well written, 'realistic' and loosely canon pairings. So, a serial killer reformed by love? No thanks. I read Catastrophia new story and thought "Ohhhh, something different" so I'm stalking it until it completes. But Catastrophia does have a number of unfinished fic so I'm not holding my breath.
