Howdy folks! How goes everyone?

I finished up A Different Direction by GemmaLisax last night, and started Bella's Suicide by Fakin It. Not sure if this one is a finish or a flounce, the author is VERY wordy and descriptive, too much so a lot of the time.

In totally cool news, my daughter was given a brand spankin' new Kindle Paperwhite by her school today, is that awesome or what?

I downloaded a few more to my tablet this afternoon, once everyone's in bed, I'll pick something else, or decide if I want to continue Bella's Suicide. It sucks when someone can actually spell and use proper punctuation and grammar, and have to flounce because they use too damn much of it.

Yup, I know exactly what you mean, I've come across a few of those. They get...boring.

I get stopped at least 1 out of every 7 times I travel (my bff and I actually tracked it) by airport security to show my papers showing I have permission to fly without a legal guardian.      My co-workers find it funny, but it's a little depressing.  Being short, slim, having mosquito bites (yes, that's what I call them) for boobs and the odd acne breakout from that cursed time of the month is not conducive to the femme fatale look at all

I have NEVER been asked to show my ID as proof of age (I have the opposite issue with boobage). Just once, I'd like to be!

I fear it may be to prove eligibility for the aged pension!

Lately when I fly, I've been getting called over for the extra check.  I'm the random middle class white woman they pull over so they're not accused of stereo-typing.

I always get pulled aside for the gunpowder residue and security check.

In fact the last time anyone but me groped my boobs, it was at a security check.

What the hell is a gunpowder residue search?? And who came up with that? Also, why would having gun powder on you be a reason for someone not to fly?

We're Australians - we do weird shit!

When you go through the x ray machine thing at the airport, they pull you aside and read you this thing that says that you have been selected for a  , then they wave a little wand thing over your feet, your clothes and any carry-on bags. Then they stick the little wand into another machine and then they let you through.

(My inner 11 yo boy is laughing at "they stick the little wand into another machine" - I must be overtired!)

I guess that if you have been playing with an explosive device or a gun, you might be a safety risk.
In Australia, guns are not a toy...unless it's a toy gun.

I bit back the groan that was building in my throat and threatened to fall from my mouth. The way he was looking up at me and the way his eyes, those goddamn green eyes, setting my body on fire. Eyes that called to me like a water starved girl, roamed down my leg to my five inch heel that was currently propped on his thigh. I swear I heard him growl as he gripped my calf, sliding his hand up to my knee while placing my foot back on solid ground. By the time he stood up, I was panting like a b*tch in heat. It scared me because this reaction was from one brief touch, and on my leg at that!

My daughter is especially lucky, we were told she might never read at all due to an illness when she was little, and now she's known as the "reading machine" of her school.
