NFW is the sequel to ADWtG? NFW is a high school fic, so ADWtG is as well?

I loved NFW so I need to check that other one out is the prequel?

NO!! It's not. I copy and pasted the wrong thing when I modified the post. It's my fault but I'm blaming the giant spider I'm keeping one (or two) eyes on at the moment...

But the fic (ADWTG/ABWTG) is worth a read anyway, but it's not set in HS. I just made a mistake in my post.

Given the Country you are in - why are you watching the spider??

Squish the ferker!!

That's what I would do anyway.

Haha! Normally I would, as most of the spiders I come across could take down a small child or even me...however Huntsmans, while freaking enormous, as harmless to people, and we keep Spidie around because he eats all the mozzies and flies that get into the house. I just don't want him crawling across my hands or up my legs while I'm on the puter...I like to know where he is at all times which is sometimes hard because the little buggers are fast!

He's also a good indicator of when it's going to rain. Because he always comes inside, but he's been hanging around the past week for the opposite reason, 'cause it's so damn hot.

Ok, that's fair enough.
I must admit I tend to leave spiders to their own devices unless they happen to go upstairs.  The idea of a spider crawling on me whilst I'm asleep is not a pleasant one.
Do you kill the venomous little buggers when you can then?

Yes. Unfortunately Spidie prefers to be upstairs in the bedrooms, but we still leave him alone. Apart from the occasional relocation.

Ah yes, poisonous spiders, when I can find them always become acquainted with the bottom of a thong. Though they don't usually come inside (You don't want to get bitten by one of those in your sleep!), so you're more likely to get bitten on the bum when you go to the dunny. Redbacks especially are fond of the thunderbox, they often live under the seat. I tend to kill most of the poisonous spiders in the laundry or toilet.

I just saw that you had posted a picture - that is one ugly spider!

I showed Hubby as he is usually the one asking me to relocate them and he shuddered- honestly he didn't shutter - I was shocked!

The advice to hover makes sense now - they can't jump can they?

Yup. And that is a small one! Spidie is about one and a half his size. They can't jump, but they can run very fast. They're called Huntsmans cause of the way they run and hunt, I don't think they really build webs like normal spiders, they tend to stalk their prey and then pounce on them, like a freaking tiger or cheetah! As far as spiders go, I think they're almost cute. But still, I don't want to share a bed or my personal space with him.

Holy molly, that's one big spider pet!  :o

And it hangs around your bedrooms? Imagining it crawling on you while sleeping has all my hairs standing up right now. What's worse are those poisonous spiders that hangs around the toilet!! What if you were in mid pee or poop and you get bitten?! Do some people die instantly? I sure dont want to have my last act in this world to be in the toilet! Grossssss and scary!
Now savvyb will surely not go to australia, if she doesnt get bitten by a poisonous something, she'll die bec she didn't pee and poop during her visit there.  :D

A Drink With the Guys/ A Beer With the Girls by CaraNo.

These started off as two separate stories, one in Bella's POV the other in Edwards, on the blog they are combined into one story for ease of reading.

NFW (No Fu cking Way) is the sequel.  Oopsies. Not that one, haha! When I modified it I copied the wrong phrase to the wrong place. NFW is another one of Cara's fics, not related in any way... and set in HS! Hehe. I was posting this while keeping an eye on Spidie (AKA the giant huntsman spider currently living in my room) so I blame him...

Both are available on her blog You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login

And NFW is called NFW - no abbreviations there - well there is, but there isn't!

Yeah - that makes perfect sense... :-[

Awwww - he's just a widdle bubba!

The spiders like this keep the really deadly ones under control.

True fact.

With the recent floodwaters, we are being warned about snakes and crocs being "displaced". We had a 6' king brown at school yesterday - large deadly snake and 100 children...what a great combination! Snakes don't usually bother me, but he was a biggy - and highly venomous!

That's why I needed vodka last night!

We're not allowed to kill brown snakes - we are supposed to call the wildlife warriors so that they can come and relocate them. Our nearest was going to take 3-4 hours to get there, and the snake did not seem to be agreeable to waiting.

I "relocated" the snake - in a few pieces, using a long handled shovel, a rake and a golf club.

So, who's coming to visit?

I'm hoping for some rain for you - to get the fires gone once and for all, and to get some feed growing before winter.

I love how green everything looks after rain - especially after a fire when everything is black and those first shoots poke through.

It's so green up here at the moment that it almost hurts your eyes, but in such a good way. With the rain we had, and then the heat, you can actually see the grass growing! We could do with a little more rain this week, just to keep everything fresh.

And growing grass means mowing SNB! >:D

Here is the SW US we're suppossed to call the fire dept to come have our rattlesnakes removed-- costs as much as $500!  My hubby now removes them with a pitchfork and a shovel he bought 'specially for the job. Always lovely when the 5-6 foot fckers keep striking after their head is removed!

I get my house sprayed every year so I don't get too many creepy-crawlies inside at all - no spiders, cockies, the occasional ants but usually just before rain. The worst is flies - they sneak in all the bloody time and I can't stand them!

I found a massive redback on my front deck (at my old house) a few years ago, and it was in a funny position so we couldn't squish it. I had run out of insect spray, so someone suggested spraying it with hairspray and then lighting it.

Some alcohol may have been consumed prior to this awesome suggestion.

Anyway, we sprayed the entire web - so the spider was stuck and couldn't run away (alcohol, remember!) and then lit it.

Sorry but you are not allowed to view spoiler contents.

Don't try that! The spider was gone, but I had to get the front deck repainted!

I'm hoping for some rain too! It's all brown, beige or black around here at the moment. The fires were all settled but they've flared back up now. We're lucky we still have some hay left, but it's not going to last now as we'll have to feed more over summer. Although Summer is when we have to feed more hay usually anyway, as the dry grass has pretty much no nutrients in it at all. What I wouldn't give for a bit of green! The snakes blend in to the long brown grass too. The fires flush a whole lot of them out, but I'm so used to snakes as they live in the hay shed all year around, poisonous of not we can usually get rid of them. Although I usually call one of the local snake boys in, cause a bite from a brown snake really would not be all that fun.

Haha. Funnily enough I've done the same thing with a group of mates, but in the outdoor dunny. We killed a horde of redbacks but we also burnt down part of one of the dunny walls. Now if you're in the house paddock you can see whoever is in there...The boys keep saying they're going to put up a new wall, but they haven't yet...I think they secretly like perving on whoever is in there, and playing tricks on each other...

Hahaha - that is exactly what my Hubby would do.  As much as he is afraid of them the idea of oining them appeals more.  He once put two of them in a jar together and watched one eat the other.  He also likes pulling the wings off wasps and having races.  Thinking about it he seems a little bit twisted - explains a lot!!
