Have i mentioned i am effing glad i finally reached the end?

Yeah, what i thought would be an interesting read turned into meh.. it had its moments but it was just so so...am hoping she continues to write though as she matures as i want her to fulfill the promise i saw of an engaging, humorous writer when i started this fic.

Now off to start Major Misconduct, finally, since i am in a HS fic mood  :)

Have I mentioned I hate that effing ending? Seriously wtf? It feels really incomplete, like she couldn't be bothered with the story anymore.

I'm reading this and it's annoying me so much how Edward talks to Bella during s.e.x.

Then I read her profile, she is 17 yo.

Why the hell would a 17 yo would be writing about being called a bit.ch and s.lut during s.ex?
Wow. Did not know she was 17. When she mentions not updating because of school, I assumed she meant uni. The s.ex seemed too aggressive for a hs fic.

Sorry but you are not allowed to view spoiler contents.
Currently reading the Cullen Campaign so far so good it has humor which is a good thing
Oh yes, I read that one also. Someone here rec'd it or mentioned it. But it's been a couple months.  It was sad though, and I can't remember if it was an HEA or not. But I did finish it and it was very angsty.

Has anyone read You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login ? I got about 6 chapters in because the summary looks interesting, but Edward is such a fucknut I don't know if I can read on unless I know it gets better.

I liked this one. Edward has some stuff going on so it will make sense eventually. And it gets better, a lot better in fact. Let me know if you want spoilers.

I love cherry Coke Zero.  Though Coke Zero is almost as good. Then Diet Dr Pepper - though I love the Cherry-Vanilla flavor the most.  But really? I drink a lot of Crystal Light or similar stuff. I have some 32oz bottles & most of those one serving packs are perfect.

Wine makes me sleepy too.  But I drink it anyway. I don't drink much hard stuff at home normally...though when I remember to buy lime flavored water? I sometimes make margaritas with it  ;D

I don't really drink any alcohol. If I do I tend to go all out, so not really good. I love vanilla vodka with apple or cranberry juice, daiquiris, and the like. I love cider too, and the occasional wine and champaign/ sparkling white.

As for soft drinks, I don't touch the stuff, diet or not. They make me feel so ill, and as for the cola flavoured ones I can't handle the caffeine. They are all too sweet for me. I really only drink water, and not with cordial, I can't stand flavoured water or milk. I've never liked milk, I get all my dairy from cheese and natural yoghurt.

Is crystal lite like cordial? The only flavoured water I've ever liked was fruit crush cordial, and only ever after horse riding to replace my sugars. I got sent about 1000 kool-aid sachets and I use them to flavour Icings, cakes, biscuits and jelly. My brother loves the stuff though, so I occasionally make it up with about half the recommended sugar.

Crystal light is sugar free.  Kind of like Kool aid, lemonade or ice tea really - since I drink a lot of the peach ice tea flavor.  And the cranberry pomegranate one is good too. But because I use only one packet - a packet is normally for 16 to 20 oz of water - they are watered-down in my 32 oz container. So not too sweet.  I just get nauseous drinking plain water.  I can only drink plain water if i eat at the same time.  Otherwise, it makes my stomach hurt.

I'm funny about drinking.  I rarely drink when we go out.  I drink more at home because I'm a cheap drunk. One drink and I'm giggly, the second and I'm asleep.  So I usually will be the designated driver.  And at home? Yeah, usually just a glass of wine with dinner.  ;D

Ahh. I still don't like the fake sweeteners though, but if normal water makes you ill then at least there is something out there to help you re-hydrate. We are opposites, as pretty much any other drink apart from water or watered down fruit juice makes me ill. I think it's all the sugar in them.

Lemonade here is usually a soft drink, clear lemon flavoured bubbly sugar water (Like sprite or schweppes), not the real thing made with lemons, water and sugar unfortunately. It's disgusting, the only soft drink I ever even entertain the idea of though funnily enough though is fizzy lemon squash like Solo or Pub Squash. But even the thought sends my stomach rolling now...

So when in fics writers refer to lemonade are they not talking about a soft drink? Sometimes the differences in food names leave me stumped. It would be good if someone could tell me what the heck a ziti is (Sounds like the American name for a pimple). Haha. And I had to look up Arugula, we call that rocket. And then the ones I know, what you call cilantro we call coriander, and what you call Bell Peppers we call capsicum. And almost anything you call ' winter squash' we call pumpkin. Haha.

lemonade is watered down lemon juice with sugar. And it's normally served chilled or over ice.  But it's not fizzy. Ziti? Like the food? Ziti is a pasta. Like a large macaroni tube thing. Baked ziti has spagetti sauce with meat & cheese that you throw in the oven until the cheese gets all melty.  It's really good & a little easier to make than lasagne.

What's funny is that depending on where you are in the US, it might be called something different.  In parts, all soda drinks - fizzy sugar drinks like your lemonade - are called colas. In California, we'd call it a soda because it's made with soda water. I think in the midwest it is all "pop" - probably short for soda pop.

But what we all call lemonade? Yeah, lemon juice, sugar & water.

I always find it interesting how things can be so different every where  ;D

We call the green parts (stems and leaves) cilantro. But the seeds we call coriander.  Recipes call for crushed coriander or ground coriander.  They are not interchangeable as they taste completely different.

Sometimes it feels like I've read most decent fics out there :( Half the time I get a couple of chapters into one before realising I've read it before :D I think I only read the first chapter of that one so I'll give it another go, thanks for the rec!

Has anyone read You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login ? I got about 6 chapters in because the summary looks interesting, but Edward is such a fucknut I don't know if I can read on unless I know it gets better.

I really liked Whatever Works - I remember struggling a little to get into it, but once I was in, I was hooked. Give it another go.

Hi there! I'm baack! Did you miss me or did you at last realize I've been gone for two weeks? OK, I just hope not all of you think "Who is that?"...  :o

Back from the beach, I found you chatted 60 pages in the last two weeks! No way I can read that, so what did I miss?

Btw, I challenged myself not to read fanfics during our vacation - and I suceeded! I read real (e)books!  :D
But my son said I cheated because I read some published fics, he means just because they have different names now doesn't change anything...  >:(

And now I have to reread Harry Potter because he is in book 5 now and wants to talk about it constantly, fishing for spoilers and discussing annoying details (kids these days, can't they watch TV?)... So, I challenged myself again and now I finally read them not translated...

But, I miss fanfics!

The beach...?

In Germany...?

In February...?

Welcome back!

I read each of the HP books to my class as they were released, but I left that school and moved to where I am now just before the last one was published. I bought it for myself and read it and then donated it to the school library.

I started reading The Hobbit to one of the classes at school. I got halfway through the first chapter and decided that the kids can read it themselves. I'd forgetten how wordy it is - horrible story for reading aloud. Because of the movie, they're all dying to read it.

I'm waiting to see what Astro has to say about quitting drinking.

Alcohol is just empty calories. No nutritional value at all.

It's a wonderful source of vitamins: vodka and orange, vodka and cranberry, mango daiquiri, margarita (lime juice)...

It's virtually the only way I eat fruit!  ;)

I don't drink much booze these days, for some odd reason, I can taste nothing but alcohol no matter how I mix it. I do need to get back off the sodas though, talk about empty calories, they don't even give me a buzz.

Apart from the cherry coke that I was so excited to find a few weeks ago, I don't drink many softdrinks. I have gone through 2 bottles in 6 weeks, and that's a lot of soft drink for me. I still have 2 from my stockpile to go - I'll keep them for a special occasion.

I usually have an iced green tea with lemongrass or jasmin on my way to school, and occasionally I'll have a tea or coffee at morning tea, but mostly I just drink water - and not bottled, straight out of the tap!

I used to drink a lot, and I could take it very well. Very high tolerance.
I used to joke I had vodka instead of milk as a baby ( Russian heritage).

But lately I just get sleepy. I can't get near red wine. Just looking at it makes me sleepy.
And even bubblies ( is that a word? ) My favorite are making me sleepy now. So not fair.

So I rather spend my calories with desserts.

I used to love a nice wine, but now I'll have half a glass and I can't stomach any more. I only ever drink red wine in winter with a hearty stew - and even then, 1/2 a glass is enough.

I can't drink bubbles. My brother-in-law (world's biggest wanker) always brings an expensive bottle for Christmas dinner (I think he must get it as a gift - he's never spend money on another person) but italways tastes like fermented socks.

And he gets the shits when I mix it with fruit juice and put ice in it.

What can I say...I'm a classy chick!

I honestly have an obsession with Pepsi Max and also Diet Dr Pepper right now. I know the sweeteners are bad for you but I just love the fizziness and how refreshing they feel.. water/fruit juice can't compete! I had to switch to decaffeinated teabags so I wasn't overloading on it during the day and then being kept awake at night :(

Be careful, Little One! You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login

If I want refreshing, I have sparkling mineral water and fresh lime.
If I need a sugar hit, I add a teaspoon of caster sugar.
If I need something stronger, I add vodka.

Very versatile!

Why would you add water to a margarita?

Dr Pepper is pretty rare here - I don't think I've ever tried it. It's just another cherry cola, right?
