At the end of our morning meeting, the guys on my crew discreetly showed me this poll and told me the guys in England got this poll right.

Now, they're debating with each other who would be on their sexiest/hottest list and who they would ask their wives/girlfriends for a "hall pass" for.   I just found out that some of them have actually had this "hall pass" conversation with their spouse/girlfriend!  :wtf:  Am I the only one who would junk punch my bf for attempting to talk about this?  I know I'm overly sensitive about cheating because I see it happen often in the industry that I work in, but shiiiiiit, some of these knuckleheads are serious while I'm pretty sure their wives/gfs, whom I know pretty well, were just joking around.

 :D

I just read the following in a fic:

"Could it have been in Mars 2007?"

Did we go to Mars in 2007??? If so then I've been living under a rock!!!!

And they were talking about specific dates, so I'm guessing is MARCH not MARS

Fortunatelly it is a WIP so no reading any further, and no following for this one

she can get pretty with make up and being clean. but she is no great beauty, that is true.

i know that professional makeup does wonders for me.

i would only give my other half a fress pass with some famous person if i was sure he would never meet them.

I have to say i find Kstew pretty. My husband doesn't. SJP has her pretty moments specially when she is wearing glamorous clothes and make up.
Seeing Swank's name on the list reminded me of an episode of The Office where they argued whether she was hot or not  :D

I never consciously made a list of who i'd want in my hall pass. Had a hard time coming up with names when this question was asked in a discussion board. Up to now, i can only think of RPatz, Brendan Fraser (The Mummy version! He was my original moviestar "boyfriend") and MFHD (assuming he is disease free)  :o But luckily, my husband and I never talked about hall passes, nor would i mind if he did have one...as long as he knows it is a make believe list...for as long as we both shall live...

2muchrubbish, you are in a very unique position compared to us poor mortals. You work in the industry. Now if we have movie stars in our list, you know it is pure fantasy, absolutely-no-chance-in-hell it will ever happen. But if movie stars are in your or your boyfriend's list (specially if he works in the biz too), dude, the probability of it becoming a reality is very much higher. So i would indeed freak out if i were in your position.  :-\

Well, I think they got the list right, I don't think they are pretty or sexy or hot...

And I have the luck that my hubs would never even think of making such a list  :-* He doesn't see actresses or other woman... When we watch something with several female actresses, they have to have different haircolors so he can recognize them in the story (and no, different hairstyle doesn't do it... lol) Sigh, I love my nerd  :-*

This completed.  I'm not a big fan of the author and I dislike the way she formats her stories, but here it is:

Summary: Edward Cullen is a reclusive billionaire who escaped to the Rockies
to get away from the rat race, Isabella Swan is an orphan who gets caught
trespassing on his land. At the end of his rope when it comes to unwanted
guests, he decides to use her as an example to keep others out, until he gets
a good look at her...

Well it doesn't look like it, so she needs one ASAP I didn't read more, maybe someone wants to read even if it's a WIP.

And I can of understand that english isn't her first language but still there are other ways of checking if there are spelling errors

I was following this one over TWCS and yeah it kindda is. Is just one big nasty s.e.x story. If you like smut a lot then yeah, but if not then well I wouldn't rec'd it. The story is Daddyward but borderline on something else. Can't really put it into words so we will keep it at one big nasty s.e.x story

Hmm, the story idea looks good, but she is from Sweden.  It's been a while since my high school French class, but isn't March something like Mars in French?  Maybe she needs a good English beta.  Is the story any good other than SPaG errors? Or did you not read far enough to tell?

I think she can be attractive when she's all made up (and clean - lol!) too, but honestly, if all women had a team of professional make-up artists and stylists, we'd look pretty hot too.

Yup, a hall pass conversation is good when you're pretty sure it would never happen and just joking around.  I have a friend who works in radio and her husband got moody and pissed when she told him that she was going to interview Adam Levine from Maroon 5, because in their free pass conversation, AL was her "get out of jail free" card.  She was joking around, but her husband totally freaked.  That's when we both realized that women and men take that hall pass conversation at different levels of seriousness.   :o

Now that I didn't know since my french is non-existent. Yeah I was fishing for new stories to follow and the summary got my attention, and maybe I really need to read more,,,, see this is one of those days that things are sucking at work and that makes me more intolerant. I know better then that  :banghead: :021: :ohcrap:

I'll read a little more and tell you Ella although WIP's are EVIL

I really try to only read WIPs from trusted sources - i.e. CaraNo or Savage - people that update regularly.

And I've read a few of those drabble wars stories because they have to be pretty much prewritten to fit it in over a weekend. Otherwise I try to wait until they are done.  Though sometimes? I still get sucked in :banghead:

LOL, me too! It sucks if someone updates after several months and I don't remember what happened before... I still follow some WIPs, but sometimes it's like reading 20 books at the same time - my brain hurts.  :57:

I never used to read WIP's but for the last year or so I've been sucked into so many and quite a few of them haven't updated in ages and when/if they do update again, half the time I can't remember what's happened before, so I will wait for them to be completed if they ever are.

I'm still reading Underneath Your Scars by Hammerhips. I've read enough now that I don't want to flounce, but my god, these are the sappiest, weepiest bunch of badass vampires I have EVER seen. Every time I turn around they're sitting on the floor weeping non-existent tears, or their eyes are welling with venom. Sheesh! I think they need Prozac!

And can I just say ewwwwww! to the spoiler within a spoiler of silverblossoms' work. I knew the couple that I tried to read didn't hit me in a way that made me want to continue, but daaaamn that's bad, imo!
