Day 1
Celebrating the greatness of Snowqueens Icedragon / EL James
Drooling over Rob
Descriptive terms for how a blue dress looks on pale skin

Day 2
How to shutter
Drooling over Rob
Popular authors tell how there betas are instrumental in ensuring their posting they're most grammatically correct work

Day 3
Building suspense in a fic - It's not my story to tell
Drooling over Rob
Bitchy cat fighting in the fandom - how to ask for feedback and then argue with anyone that gives constructive criticism.

There is also a group dinner - I think they're serving lasagna, chicken alfredo, mushroom ravioli and pancakes. Well, these are the only foods available in the twifandom universe!

Damn! Now I really want to go to! If only to be pissed in some arse-end-of-nowhere pub with you all!
LOL, this is great! :D  I bet they have Pop-tarts or french toast for breakfast, as they are in nearly all  twifics.

The thing I hate is when someone goes into crazy amounts of detail about what they're eating - I read one fic, can't remember which, where it seemed like a recipe was being given every time anyone cooked! I copy and pasted one of the cooking parts into Word one time just so see how long it was - 2000 words! Bella wasn't even a chef!

So what all are you reading?

I started Wisp and I can't put it down. I did flounce the back story. I just couldn't.. it was too much.

I have decided to do a comparison between The Office and Beautiful Bastard.

So far so good.  It has not been diluted as much as I expected.  I will keep you posted.

Has anyone else read BB?

I haven't, simply because I read The Office and couldn't finish it. Plot should almost be more important than lemons, personally, and The Office didn't have that. I'd probably read BB if that's been toned down a little, so I'd be interested to hear your thoughts about it.

I don't really know how to explain it - it just seemed to end really quickly after all the drama.

It didn't leave any loose ends or anything just left me feeling a bit deflated.
Sorry but you are not allowed to view spoiler contents.
Yeah, I felt the same.  The end didn't match the build up.  Then she P2P, so I hope she rewrites it a bit before publishing it.   :P

But overall it was a good story & worth reading.

Hmmm... sounds like a book I read once.  Oh wait, it was a cookbook.  She had all these great little stories with every recipe. She had lived all over the world & they were her favorites.  I don't think I ever made any of them but they sounded good ;)

Yeah, the authors pick up on the fact Bella likes to cook - or more likely - hates to eat her parents' cooking and turn it into too much a lot of the time.  I like the stories where Bella doesn't cook but Edward does  ???

No...not at all...I love it, but it is going on forever and she updates about every other week.

If you get tired of it, there is a futuretake you can read - she wrote it for someone or a contest or something. But it is good & gives a bit of an HEA ending.

The backstory? Yeah, I don't rec it. At all.  I didn't finish the first chapter of it.  :o

Why am I getting ads for something called Cougar Life?

I know they supposedly pick up subjects you talk/read about to pull ads that might interest you.  But other than RPattz, I'm really not much of a cougar. Hmmm, though my husband is almost 4 years younger.... :D :D :D :D

I hate waiting for updates and waiting two weeks for an update is too long.

As for the backstory, my first shock was that she was only

Oh man, that spoiler has made me really glad I stayed away from the backstory.

I've already said I'll make sure to post here when it's completed but I wouldn't hold your breath for that happening any time soon :(

The most annoying thing about waiting for it in WIP is that there isn't much progression between chapters so you wait 2 weeks for barely any story movement.

Thanks Lauren.
I wonder how many chapters it is going to be, it's already, what? 45 chapters?

What about Torn by Dooba? Looks really long and not complete yet.

Probably around a hundred if she keeps the current pace :(

Torn - well, I doubt that'll ever finish. It's nearly 600,000 words right now and in that time Bella has come a long way in terms of her personal issues but the fic hasn't moved much, if that makes sense. I'm wondering whether she'll just bring it to an ending where Bella is 'normal' rather than a HEA.

Does anyone know if there is a sequel to Beautiful Bastard in the works?

If not, the story ends very abruptly.  Not very much was changed between the two stories although, some of the sexy scenes were altered to fit the story better I suppose.  The plot is still questionable.

It's not sequel, it's about a British guy, I think Chloe & Bennett make an appearance but the book isn't about them.
