Do you ever read a fic and wish it hadn't gone in the direction it did? I really liked the beginning few chapters of You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login but for me
Sorry but you are not allowed to view spoiler contents.
Not that it was bad, I just wanted it to go down a different road.
I don't read bdsm. But that happens with so many fics. So much potential to end up like a pile of cliches.

I agree, That is the most annoying thing about the brand, the speed in which the "upgrade" their product, if the technological is there why not use it in the first place instead of letting us spend out money and then 6 months later, bang! A new and improved version >:(

Yup.  The iPad mini should have definitely come with retina display.  It's not new and it's on the iPad.  To not have the retina display on there was an immediate thumbs down and a huge blinking arrow at $$$.  My cousin used to work for Apple's marketing department, but quit 6 months ago and now works for Google.  She doesn't regret it.

I've read a couple of her other fics and liked them.  The summary on this one put me off though - I think people jumped on the BDSM bandwagon for the taboo factor.  I have read some seriously crap ones which put me off the whole genre.

Ooh I saw a fiiine specimen of a man on a TV show the other day. Jay Ryan:

  >:D

Apparently he's from New Zealand, so of course he was in Neighbours for a while. I wouldn't have known though as his American accent is great.

Neighbours is NOT a great example of Aussie TV!!!

He was also in Offspring, which is a great Aussie show. I have no idea if it's on anywhere o/s but it's a really good show - and all the sexy doctors don't hurt either!

I can't keep up with how often they seem to roll out new models....it's a bit off-putting tbh. Every time I look one up there's an article about when the next one is to be released (anywhere from March to 2014 for the new mini btw) and you should wait for that one. It's confusing tbh. And it makes me a bit afraid that I'm going to buy it and 6 months later it won't be worth it. Idk.

I pulled up an HD video while on the mini and I could not believe the pixelation (sp?) that was there from the get-go. It was awful. My phone that I've had for a year now far surpasses that....I'm not looking to move backwards here. It's kinda crappy, as you said, that they released this without the technology that would have made it worth the $$. Now I'm on to the ipads. Sigh.

Does your cousin still prefer Apple products (if she ever did, I guess) or is she an Android convert?

Thank you so much to all of you who gave your thoughts on this  :-* :-*

Yeah, I know that stories. Sometimes stories start promising and later, when they get more attention the author starts to write for the reader. Then it tends to get annoying.

I actually liked Our Lives Unbound very much.

Yes!!  So irritating and nowadays so unoriginal.  Sometimes it just comes out of nowhere too.  Like he has to be part of that scene to be "dominant" or alpha-like.

I love the author (Virtual Intimacy is the best of lemons and Eleven Dimensions is adorable) but this was just wasted potential and awkward to read. There are few decent BDSM stories, and MOTU/FSoG isn't one of them. Tara Sue Me's trilogy was probably the best.

But it's the only Aussie show I know! Actually, I used to love a show called Round the Twist that was on the BBC over here but I don't think they make it anymore. Had a family living in a lighthouse? I miss it :(

Still a Apple user as am I.  We both studied graphic design in school, so we've had Macs for a long time.  There's no questioning the quality of the technology, but for the past few years (since Jobs first got sick and then passed), they've been going more the electronic business model route.  Put out stuff and then slightly "better" versions a few months-1year later.  You can really see where Tim Cook's leadership is taking Apple.  Disappointing.  But I still love my mbPro, iPad and iPhone and even if I didn't, I'd still have to use it for work.  *shrug*

That's the problem - because I had read such rubbish I have not actually read any of those.  I will read them, but, have to be in a particular mood to read BDSM.

I loved Round the Twist too - the theme tune was brilliant.

The Best Man by Bratty Vamp is an old one but I stumbled across it again and remembered how much I loved it - it has everything - humour, angst, HEA.

Next-door neighbors home from college, reunited for two weeks of their summer break. Childhood memories and adult hijinks abound. Will a friendly competition strengthen childhood bonds? Or will it help to forge a new relationship between adults?

That reminds me, my son has had his first English swearword in his vocabulary book - bum, translated as idiot, I laughed so hard...

Oh dear! It's really sad that Neighbours and Home & Away are what Aussies are known for o/s!

Round the Twist - I think every school has the entire set of videos in their library. It was based on a set of books by Paul Jennings and kids still love them - funny stuff.

Yes, I enjoyed that one too.  Because you made it so clear earlier - what time is it where you are now?

Actually, my first introduction to Australian t.v. was The Sullivans - absolute bloody torture!  I remember sitting in front of the fire at my Grandmas with my Sister in absolute silence as we weren't allowed to speak whilst it was on.  A few years later there was a really good show about a family on a ranch or something with Guy Pearce as one of the sons.  Can't remember it's name though.?

Guy Pearce was on Neighbours. I can't remember the other show - Australians aren't really very good at supporting local shows (because so many used to be SO bad!) but my research skills (Google) led me to this:

ETD: Wow - it had Hugh Jackman and Josh Lucas too!

I never watched it and can't even remember it.

Ok, I just wondered as you seem to be talking to yourself a lot during the day!  I suppose that's your evening though - that sucks.  Are there not a lot of Aussies on here then?
