Twilight Fanfiction Non Canon, AU, e.g. not the usual pairings - just so we are clear this means stories that do not have as lead pairings such Edward/Bella, Rosalie/Emmett or Alice/Jasper. Or as the dictionary says about non canon "A word used by those who write fanfiction. It refers to a pairing etc. that was not promoted in the original work the fanfiction was based on." There are Jasper/Bella or Bella/Emmett or Edward/Jasper fics here but feel free to add your own non-cannon stories.

I thought this as well, so I have copied the stories quick smart in case the boss takes them down!!! Some of them look really good, so I want to give the ones I haven't read a try. I also agree with Matron though cos it's not Bella/Edward so maybe it should be allowed. Who cares, got some good stories!

So I read Bad Moon Rising and Here Comes the Sun by Malarial Marie. They were pretty damn good fics. But then I find out RIGHT AT THE END of Here Comes the Sun that there's gonna be a third part! And all I can find on here is 6 chapters.

Does anyone know what happened to this author? I know some personal problems were mentioned in an A/N at the end of HCtS that kinda worried me, and all that's on her FF.Net profile are Final Fantasy VII fics. (WTF how do you go from twilight to FFVII?)

Is there a complete version of Stars Shine Brightly out there somewhere, is this author still writing it, or am I shit out of luck on this one?

I just found it, was on vacation when you started...

I really liked Malarial Marie, and I think you have to forget about the last sequel

I think that was the first non canon story I read...

I started (as you may know since I told it already somewhere...) with German fanfic. I wanted to finish reading a Midnight sun version... There are pretty good stories... but mostly canon or slash...

Then I read a lot of AH canon fics, just because I don't like most Vampwards, I didn't even like Edward in the books. There are good stories, but most of them annoy me because Bella forgives him even more easily (you all know these stories, Edward leaves in NM, Laurent/Victoria/Volturi/nomad bites Bella and after a century they meet again in Forks, and all is well...)

So, when I want a sparkly story, I need another vamp for Bella. And I've read them all. Garrett, Peter, Aro, Caius, Demitri, Emmett, Jasper, James, Laurent, Alec, Carlisle... I don't care...

But most James stories are a bit creepy, more often than not I wanted to scream "Stockholm!"
I don't find any Marcus/Bella stories, he seems to be set to be the surrogate father/uncle...

When I was all vamped out, I started reading wolf. Ladies, thats another universe out there! Like in the Jasperversum, where Peter knows shit and Jasper is the God of war, in Wolfland are new ideas/rules too. There are amazing stories in between. I needed a long time before I could read Bella/Jacob, but there are great ones out. Bella and Paul is great, but Bella/Sam is a pairing you should try. Bella/Embry too and right now I'm following a WIP which seems to go Bella/Seth (I was hesitant, but it's not obvious in the beginning and now it seems to fit and YES, he is old enough!)

I'm just in awe of all those authors, so many new ideas, so many twists...

Once I finish all the best Jasper stories, and the Peter stories, I'll probably go wolf, take a break from vamps for a bit. I actually liked Jacob in the original stories, and wouldn't have a problem reading her with any of the wolves, even Seth, because of how the change ages them.

Well, I am really into the pairing of Jasper/Bella.

I just love them.
And it's what let me start reading fics in the first place.
My first fic ever was "When Darkness Turns to Light" and it really hooked me back then. It is still one of my favorite stories.

But I am like you guys, in search for a really good read (Jasper/Bella especially)
I do not have any special wishes - only one, that the story itself has something that capture me. I don't care if it's human or vamp stories.
I love them all.

I have tried almost every couple where Bella is the female role. But I have to be in the mood for other pairings.

Beside Jasper I love Emmett, Peter, Garrett, Demitri, Caius and Carlisle at Bellas side.
I read Aro/Bella stories as well as the whole wolfpack with Bella.
It is interessting for a change.
I really enjoy the packs life with Bella in it. Those stories are awesome.
I love Paul and Sam with her. But a few days before I read a Embry/Bella one called The Hardest Part from LJ Summers. Really good one.

Lately I have read a couples of Jake/Bella stories as well which I have avoided for a long time but must say they were amazing, like jusobele's The Ties That Bind Us.

Same went for Edward/Bella stories. For years I haven't read a story about them. Only as I stumbled over a german fic that sounded interesting, did I read a few. But the funny thing is, I don't like vamp Edward in fanfic's as the main part. If I read a story about him and Bella, he has to be human

Marcus/Bella I tried once but wouldn't do it again. I just can't picture him in any way with her or with anyone

Same is with Seth, he is for me like a little brother or friend for Bella. But that can always change when I find a good story that is worth it. Havent read one with that pairing so I am open minded.

Yes, it is Seth/Bella. Embry just has to come to terms with it...
I stopped reading before my vacation, at chapter 17, right in the middle I think. But she updates regularly.

I have read A Play on Predator and Prey a while ago. I think I dont remember complaining and I liked the story. But cant say anything about the others of her.

Sorry Jonasg not heard anything, if we just knew the author and/or title we might be able to get somewhere. I have a couple of stories I would love to find but I can only remember parts of them and have no idea of the titles. I know how you feel, it's very frustrating. As for the AH fics over 100k, best suggestion is Ff.net, try the fanfiction archive search or search for a community with Jasper/Bella AH. I'm sure when the others see your post they will have some suggestions for you. I don't read many AH so nothing springs to mind, if I think of anything I will tag a quote to your post.

I have the problem that I not always remember the story from a fic by reading the name of it. And sometimes even the summary still make me think.
So how do you guys sort it out that you remember which story is which?
I have hundreds and really need suggestions. I saw in Calibre that you can put a comment to the story like a summary for example. But I am not quite familar with Calibre.
So any ideas?

I don't know what Calibre is.

Something I try to do is put them in a spreadsheet. I use Excel.

I have a "To be Read" list and a "I read this" list.

In both lists I include title, author, rating, where it is (Like FFN), pairing, number of words.

I try to make little notes, but I've found I haven't written enough. I can't always remember what a story is, specifically. Though if the story sucks, all I need is "sucks." LOL

If it's a totally hot one shot, I just right HOT. In the spreadsheet I can sort them.

I keep thinking I should include the link to the story. I should do that.

I keep all my downloaded stories on a stick and in folders by pairing. Eventually I'd like to separate them into vamp or AH, but I haven't gotten around to it yet. That would take away from my reading time
