bella and edward are in college/university, edward is alice's brother and she is maybe bella's roommate (but i'm not sure of this). alice don't tell her that she is edward's sister, and edward don't want any kind of relationships because he only thinks in his career and is not very nice with her.

Is this the one where James is a crooked police detective and Emmett (Bella's brother) is also a cop.  James is obsessed with Bella after dating her for awhile & plans on getting her back after they break up?  Bella likes Edward but his job is something with airplanes and so he travels a lot for long periods of time and so only crashes on Alice's couch when he is in town.  Edward finally notices Bella and as his feelings grow he is considering changing jobs so he can stay around more.

If that's the one I have no idea what the name or author is, but I remember reading it (unfinished) & would love to read it again.  More details may help someone else remember.

umm no, edward is a tutor or something in the university. he thinks that the most important thing is his career so he sees bella like a problem and is very harsh toward her.

Finally she has enough and after seeing him with another girl at the graduation she breaks it off for real and ends up with James. A little time goes by and Edward realizes that he made a mistake, they end up working at the same hospital and he realizes that James is abusing her and he tries to win her back/ save her from James. Any help finding it would be greatly appreciated.

I saw this on the fic hunter's facebook group and it looks pretty good (from the summary) but no one knows it (yet). I've tried searching for song fics, brokenella fics, musicianward fics, etc but haven't seen anything that resembles this yet so I though I'd pick your guys' brains and see if anything is found.

It's a songfic. It had the songs Face Down and My Guardian Angel in it along with one other Red Jumpsuit Apparatus i believe. Bella is in an abusive relationship with Mike. Edward is in a band that sings to her face down on stage to her.

I know it's not much to go on but any thoughts would be really appreciated

Are you sure it's Mike and not Jacob?  could it be this one?

I just read some angsty one-shots by TKegl ("A Swirl of Circles and Stars", and "Turns"), and it's so hard to get them out of my mind! I normally don't read such angsty fics, but I stumbled onto her profile and found them. How do you guys get your minds off sad stories? (Just thinking about them makes me unable to concentrate on anything else... )

That isn't necessarily very easy. If I know ahead of time it is very angsty, I will immediately back it up with a funny lighthearted one. But I have had some real doozies over the years that were WIPS and I would be in a funk for days. I didn't want to read anything. Now I have kind of conditioned myself to keep reading because I want to be engulfed into another plot to get that one off my mind.
