Yes, isn't that an awesome new feature? My docs are still opening as RTF files (I'm using a Mac and Firefox) so I have to then cut and paste into a word doc so it's still a little work for me.

Also, Steve fixed the issue with short drabble fics that weren't picking up the story copy on short chapters. He's an awesome guy!

Could you set your defaults that word opens RTF files by default? or maybe right click on the file and say open with?
Sorry, never worked on a mac, always windows.

I could swear In Your World had been uploaded but the dang search function is not working for me again. So here are your requests.

I'll give you a little bit to download these before I delete incase you want pdf as opposed to epub. But I will delete since there is no use having it uploaded twice.

here is why I ask. My sister was given the first book by her husband. She had no idea it was a FF first. I explained how in my opinion, as the story moves on the sex is secondary and the story is about much than that. Now she is asking me questions but doesn't want to give away to much of the story.

I liked MOTU and have no desire to read the published books. So my problem is - how close do the books follow the FF? I have heard pretty closely but if someone who has read the books could tell me the main differences (aside from the names) and let me know if the tgrilogy goes beyond MOTU I would be grateful. So far from what she has told me yare close but is only 5-10 chapters into the book.

I will be honest and say that I have only skimmed through the published books. There are sections that I have completely read but I haven't read it cover to cover. It's pretty much the original story with the names and some places changed. Her mother lives in Georgia instead of Florida. Otherwise it's the same and covers all of MotU & MotU2. The audio books even have the one shots that she posted. I'm not sure about the books though.

Just a little reminder everyone. This should help with searching although since the update of the site I still have problems searching.

Having the subject line changed to the UL: designator does help immensely. Also having the story title and author in the body of the post.

Hey everyone! Just a little reminder on how to post so it's easier to locate things when searching.

If you are uploading a story please:
Put UL (for upload) in the subject line
Put the Title of story and Author in subject line after the UL designator
example of subject line - UL: A Vow of Strongest Stone - Hmonster4
Make sure the Title of the story and Author are in the body of the post. If you want you can include summary.

If you post a link to a page that has the story already uploaded. Please follow the same steps as above but with the LINK designator.
example of subject line - LINK: A Vow of Strongest Stone - Hmonster4
Then place the Title of the story and Author are in the body of the post with the link to the post.

If you know what story you are looking to have posted please do the same thing with the subject line but with REQ (request) designator.
example of subject line - REQ: A Vow of Strongest Stone - Hmonster4
Then please post the information of your request.

This really does help make searching so much easier. When the posts come in the search feature you can easily find and determine what the post is about. It directs you right to the uploads since it will state in the subject line UL.

So please lets start doing this again. It only takes a few seconds to update the subject line and makes searching a monster thread like this a breeze. All of us that have been here a while have seen this work and it's up to us to help our newer members learn.

Yeah I really loved the FF version and I'll stay with it; although I do have the published books but I can really say that I haven't read them yet and dunno if I will

I have read the published books and never ran across an error with names.

The author still has a fanfic account and says she'll send copies of her completed stories if you pm her.

I actually already tried that route and she is no longer giving out copies but said to ask around because she has given them to other people.

Thank you for getting this done. I did make this request months ago and Steve said he was unable to capture the shorter chapters without affecting the longer ones. Maybe you will consider accepting a retainer for future issues - ? lol. yea - thanks...

Not sure, but I'll try it! I used to be a PC person but my husband and I own a magazine and EVERYTHING is Mac-based so I've been a mac addict for the last 10 years. I don't think I could ever go back now. Thanks for the tip!

Thanks. This one does work. It just has those numbers which my husband says he can try to fix. If not, I'll learn to ignore it. Thanks again.

This was my original post for EP. No one could get it to work in mobi so I tried several versions in an attempt to get one to work for her. If you would like me to email the original version I used to convert - let me know. It might be easier for you to delete the page numbers and format the paragraphs than you working from the converted version.
