Just  Few Friendly Reminders below please use the subject and tags lines as follows:

When uploading a story it would be like this: UL The ABC story by author123
For Links, it would be: Link DurtyNelly blog
Requests for stories: REQ The ABC story by author123

Are you looking for a specific fic? In the upper right hand corner is a search box with a drop down menu Type in your search criteria and you will probably find it's already been uploaded if not feel free to ask.

If you have a summary you can share that would be appreciated as well.

Thanks are always appreciated. It's two clicks 1 to download the story 1 to click on the thank you button. It's the least we can do for the hard work people put in to finding and sharing with us!

Enjoy

Tami and carrie, i am seriously considering changing jobs... am just a boring banker ... Very seldom do i see hot guys in my work... Ohhh wait, there have been 2 times this year i was blessed to meet some ... one was a brit who looked like bradley cooper... Another was a canadian who had, *gasp* bronze hair and green eyes who reminded me so much of rob! How the hell did i forget that since his name was also robert!!! Now girls, i love to eat as evidenced by my built, but that was the ONLY time i had difficulty eating during a lunch meeting bec i was too nervous and bothered by his hotness. I had to concentrate extra hard to make sure i made sense and didn't look like an ass. My lady officemate suffered the same fate. Normally, we don't accompany our guests to the ground floor lobby and say goodbye at the elevator. But for this robert, we escorted him all the way outside our bldg. I would have driven him to his next meeting if he had asked hahaha. We did have a lovely talk about our spouses and kids though. Oh well, fantasizing and just looking are harmless but sure lifts your spirits to carry on with work.

Well this definitely pales in comparison to your opportunity to "see more" at your work place. Mine are always in suits, which takes too much work for my imagination to see what's underneath.... ;)

You held out your hand, and I took it without stopping to make sense of what I was doing. For the first time in almost a century, I felt hope.

I found it quite easily by using the search function and putting in the author's name.  Try it - you'll like it.

I don't normally do drabble but I really liked this one and it's now complete I thought I'd post it on here.
Enjoy!!  :-*

Bella Swan-Cullen has always thought her stepfather was a handsome man. What happens when that small spark of attraction ignites? It's not just Bella that stands to get burned. Her secret attraction could tear her family apart! - Bella/Edward Drabble
Actually, the writer SoapyMayhem said that this fic was not totally completed yet since she intended to add another epi and several outtakes this week.
I checked her facebook page and her fic's AN..

If I didn't have the internet I'd probably forget what man candy looks like.  When I'm teaching I'm surrounded by 22 y.o.  females (who all happen to be engaged to hot guys that they found in some super secret location).  Now that I'm going back into practice, I'll be surrounded by even more women and adults over the age of 70.  What happened to hot delivery guys?  I'm in healthcare and I don't even see hot doctors.  I think they might actually be a myth at this point.  There are no Carlisle Cullens haunting our halls. :(

Thanks for the info. Tried it by author and by story name in the search engine and it didn't find it. I've done it with multiple stories/authors and was able to find them. I noticed it was missing from FF and didn't know if anyone would have posted a copy of it on here. Thought it couldn't hurt to ask. Guess I was wrong.

Maybe you should get the whole story first before being rude. Try it - you'll like it.

Thank you very much for the link! I went looking through my FF alert emails today and saw this was pulled. I tried putting in the author's name and then the story name but the search engine said it didn't find it either way.

I'm so excited to read it!

Thank you!

Thank you. The only time I ask for copies is when I can't find them with the search engine. I know it has to get annoying with multiple people asking for the same thing when it's already been posted. I try to not be one those of people. But I guess I just assume people know that about me... Lol so I'm sorry too if I was rude.

I'm avoiding sleep which might explain why it took me 5 tries to locate the posting using the search box.  I used the author's name, but I thought the "entire site" option would produce the most results.  I watched the search box tutorial video with one eye propped open and I still can't figure out why selecting "this topic" yields more results.  Are people using "this topic" to get more accurate results?  Thanks in advance

Hi, just a suggestion on what works for me as i had my fair share of unsuccessful searches before. I saved the link to the original board in my bookmark:

It is there that i do my search (i use search "this topic" option) as most of the requested fanfics are posted there. It will at least narrow down the search rather than using "entire site" option. Am not sure as I dont go to other twilight fanfic topics, but the gals that posted/managed/contributed to the original topic were pretty diligent in putting the title and author in their posts to make it easier for us to search  :)

A bunch of pages back, we had a long discussion about this.  Whatever we were searching for yielded only about 3 results if you searched the entire site, but yielded about 15 if you searched this topic.  I have always had more success with searching this topic than the entire site.  However, for that to work, you have to start in the right topic.

When searching for Twilight fanfiction, I usually go back to our original 152 Twilight fanfics thread and search this topic.  I almost always find what I'm looking for.  There is another thread, started by bookfreak69 called Twilight fanfiction, that has a big download on the first page of some of the older, frequently requested stories that I search if I can't find it on the original 152 Twilight fanfics thread.  Again searching this topic.  If I still haven't found what I'm looking for, then I'll search the entire site to see if I get different results.

The difference, if I remember correctly, is if you search entire site, it only gives you the most recent information that seems to fit your request.  So if you're asking for an author that gets a lot of press in these threads, for example 107yearoldvirgin, then you may only get a few of the most recent mentions.  Whereas, if you search (on the original 152 Twilight fanfics thread) this topic and put in 107yearoldvirgin, you'll get every post that has her name in it.

I think the other thing that throws people is how the name is put in.  If you have the wrong story name, or the post with the story has the wrong name, then you're not going to find it.  Or if you misspell the author's name, put in spaces, periods, dashes, etc. and the poster didn't put the name in that way, again, you're not going to find what you're looking for.

It's a bit of an art and sometimes you have to experiment a little.  I know I always find something interesting when I search, even if it wasn't exactly what I was looking for.  But I see it as a treasure hunt.

In the end, no one minds if you ask for help, because we're all here to help each other.

(Did I tell you more than you wanted to know?)

The link that Booked has so thoughtfully provided is also at the top of each page in this thread.  The original thread is a wonderful place, as this one is also becoming, full of lots of great stories.  It's locked so you can no longer post there, but you can download everything that has been posted.

You know how our eye to brain coordination is sometimes funny, and yet sad, as we tend to gloss over what is staring right at us. I read tami's first post and should know it is there in EACH AND EVERY PAGE, but for some reason, my brain completely missed the link. i actually went to open my bookmark, copied the URL and then posted it in my reply. DUH! Sometimes i'm an idiot, doing things the harder way. or is it bec am starting to have my senior moments that I don't even remember the post to the original site is there but i know links to some of the pages are in the "show content"... memory lapse, selective memory or a case of reading yet not comprehending...  :D

I suffer from CRS disease (can't remember sh!t), but it seems to only apply in my "real" life, not my fanfiction addiction.  Unless, of course, I need to remember the author or name of a story that I've read.  I'm pretty good at keeping up with the plotlines of all the stories I'm following, but the names of stories I've finished?  Pfft.

Just wanted you to know that you have the patience of a saint.  You and so many on ths board have taught me so much from searching a fic to downloading from the internet with various outside sources to actually posting here on this site.

Thanks is not enough.  :-*
