Trying to catch up on the thread...

I don't mind drabbles, but I only read them when they are complete. I enjoy full length chapters because I want to be drawn to the characters, drabbles don't do that for me.

When I search I use quotes... this sometimes works. Searching by author is usually easiest except when the author's name is spelled incorrectly  then I search by story.

There is an archive link on the lower right. There is 3 years worth of pics, gifs, etc to drool over, that you can click individually, save, lick, pant, moan. I wasn't lying when I said I loooooooooooove my visuals.

I suffer from CRS disease (can't remember sh!t), but it seems to only apply in my "real" life, not my fanfiction addiction.  Unless, of course, I need to remember the author or name of a story that I've read.  I'm pretty good at keeping up with the plotlines of all the stories I'm following, but the names of stories I've finished?  Pfft.

I was wondering... Is there a site out there where we can keep track of the fanfiction we read? I don't know if anyone has heard of Goodreads. It's a place where people can keep track of the books they read, what they rate it, they can leave comments about what they liked/disliked about the book, what there friends are reading. I think that would be awesome!

Has anyone ever used Favorites Tracker (You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login)?  I don't know if you can share with others, but you can add stories to your account and it keeps track of them.

From the website:  "The Favorites Tracker is a utility that provides a centralized way to find out when new chapters are added to stories on multiple fan fiction sites. The Favorites Tracker keeps track of how many chapters there are in the stories you are interested in and how many chapters you have read. That way it can let you know which stories have unread chapters in them. It does this by highlighting those stories in green and moving them to the top of the favorites. The Favorites Tracker can also email you when new chapters are added to stories you are following. The Favorites Tracker updates all of its chapters counts every half hour to make sure that the information you are seeing is always up to date. "

Wow Okay Ilovethisplace I'm over there playing around I signed up and now I'm lost how do I get it to track my stuff? This looks cool. I'm a little peeved at FF right now. I can't just highlight and copy my faves into excel anymore they added pages so I have to do it page by page and that is irritating..

 I just started, but it looks ok so far.  I just imported all of my faves from ffnet.  After you've logged in on the favorites tracker site, click on the "manage favorites" tab at the top.  On that page click on the "fanfiction net" tab from the rows of fanfiction website tabs.  When you first load that page it automatically shows the message "Editing favorites from Checkmated" by default (you need to select the appropriate site).  You should see two boxes:  "Add new story"  and "Import Favorites."  You just need to copy/paste the story i.d. number (ex. from the URL You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login you just need to copy 7329957 ) to add a story.  If you want to import your list of faves, you need to enter you ffnet user i.d. number (located in your ffnet account settings) in the second box and click "Import."  You can also get email alerts from this site, but I haven't made it that far.
