The difference, if I remember correctly, is if you search entire site, it only gives you the most recent information that seems to fit your request. So if you're asking for an author that gets a lot of press in these threads, for example 107yearoldvirgin, then you may only get a few of the most recent mentions. Whereas, if you search (on the original 152 Twilight fanfics thread) this topic and put in 107yearoldvirgin, you'll get every post that has her name in it.

I had it reversed (& wrong)! I missed a bunch of pages while my modem was down. I thought "this topic" would give me the most recent posts related to my search on my current thread. I thought that I could get all of the posts related to my request from the original 152 Twilight thread and this one if I used the "entire site" option. I thought some of you might have been resorting to magic to locate these links

I just finished watching it & remembering why I love him so much.

So, I'm glad this didn't disappear - for some reason I couldn't get on yesterday afternoon evening, then I wasn't getting updates. I thought "Oh no! my favorite place is gone"

I figured it was because I wanted to reply to the "Don't really like drabble and why are they all writing it" post. Only because I agree that drabble sucks, but then I know a couple writers who have done it to get in the habit of writing daily. I guess only having to write 100 to 500 words at a time is easier than writing full chapters. Mostly, if I like the story? I wait until it is done and read it on my kindle.

Though for some authors? I think it is a way to up your reviews. Just saying. Though most have said you don't have to review every chapter, some seem to push for it.

And? Yeah, I'm reading at least 2 right now.

Just wanted to let you guys know I spoke to Belladonna1472, and she DID NOT pull "Off The Record" to publish it. She is just inundated with life and can't work on it right now and didn't want people to keep asking for updates. She feels really bad about it, and maybe someday she'll try to complete it, but this was the best move for her so that people weren't forever asking about it.

LOL! Glad I wasn't the only one.

I actually "friended" Tami over at Facebook so I could email her, only then I discovered PTS was back!

Not that I wouldn't have "friended" her anyway.

I'm just not a big Facebook fan other than the wonderful fan fic groups you guys have rec'd over there.

I thought it was my modem again, but then I was able to get on other sites. At that point I started to understand how those crazy people feel that I see on the news - you know the ones who call 911 when McDonald's runs out of McNuggets.

I was catching up on the thread and posted my update of the past several days and when I hit post, the site went down. Tried for an hour or two, but it didn't come back up and I had to hit the sack.

So let's see what was I trying to say last night......

Everyone sounds like they have great jobs and interesting ones. Me and my 12-14 hr days....well, I work for a manufacturing company for the past 19 yrs. I am responsible for..... AP, AR, Finance, HR, Payroll, Benefits, IT, and our ISO-TS 16949 certification. Now you know why I don't get by every night.

Drabbles - don't like them, never will. To me they are not a story. They are more text messages or twitter feeds. The Plan by QuantumFizz kinda started it all, but the way that was done was unique. Reading it as a wip, if you were at 10am in the story, that is when it posted. It was like real time updates. Maybe that is why I have started mixing real books with FF, because it seems most want to try it. I just don't feel as attached to the story, I want to loose myself in the story, not read twitters feeds. I have seen the discussions on drabbles verses dribbles, but the ones that are only a sentence or two, will never hold my interest.

When I search I use entire site and sometimes quotations around what I am searching for to narrow the results. It is much easier to narrow the results of a search more than increase the spectrum. But I can say sometimes, I have had issues, like way back almost a year ago now where we didn't change the subject line.
