LOL!  I have read a number of books backwards if it makes you feel better.  Though I try not to do it with mysteries

But then I can read the last chapter of a story & it won't ruin it for me

Oh, I love different POV's, it's essential for me in a fic actually. But EP retold every detail in both POV's. It was too repetitive for me I guess.

Ella~the abuse is pretty bad Although I'm not quite to half way and it's seems to be done? Idk for sure though

I started Close Your Eyes, but didn't make it past the second chapter. I don't deal well with current abuse and for some reason, I can't deal with sweet nice Carlisle being a bad guy. How bad is it? Maybe I should read it backwards because I know Carano will give it a happy E/B ending

Too much "reality" does put me off too.  I cannot read fics where there is too much violence, abuse & humiliation.  I cannot even read FF BDSM fics if they are about whipping, nipple clamps and some person crawling around the floor with something stuffed up their bottom while kissing feet.  I found The Dominant (et al) by tarasueme impossible to read because of it and that was not even that bad so I have been told.  shudders.

I am not sure what is your exctly preference for fics. but if you prefer Good, sweet edward or if edward is badass than he should turn nice to bella quickly within  4-5 chapters so yes this fic is NOT  for you..If you prefer fluff & romance after every 3-4 chpaters than This is NOT for you..Its Angst  fic.there is no full fluff or sweet time untill very last chapters.But like i said earlier Its not Depressing angst, its Addictive angst.

This edward doesnt turn sweet & nice to bella over night..It takes longggggg time to develop decent civil conversation  & friendship between them like 20-25 chapters.There is no physical attraction & sexual feeling between them..This EB doent even realise when they become Friend. & when they started to have feeling for each-other..Its so WELL-WRITTEN..But  if u understand this charcters you will know why this edward is complete jerk.&  Honestly i would take this type of slow burn  development rather than EB jumping on each other within 1st 3 chapters. Concept is very unique  and  creepy.[ but no high violent or anything so you are good there]...if your are 1st time reader than surely it will keep you on edge beauce its difficult to guess what will happen next..Half of supoorting chractres are so crazy. u feel like beating them but I just loved to hate them.For a change it was  nice to read imperefct chracters.

That said, IMO this Carlisle is kinda like the Carlisle in Offside (another that I quit on....I'm seeing a pattern here  ) from what I remember of that one. It wasn't unbearable to me but....yea. There's def'y abuse in real time....It's such a great fic though

Similar to this, I had to quit The Red Line b/c of Edward's encounter with another character (Raven?). I have a pretty tough stomach, can handle pretty much anything in a fic (as long as there's a decent plot and it's not extreme just for the shock value) but I hit my hard limit with that one. I think that's the only fic I've read that I stopped b/c of the content alone.

I have never read the Red Line.  I have to admit I have read strong stuff when the story was so compelling I had to read it even while it made me flinch.  The one that springs to mind is a HP flc by obsessmuch called Eden.  It was totally compelling and at the same time totally horrific, torture, abuse, rape you name its there but it was frigging brilliant. Oh yeah, I forgot about Faithfully!  It's been almost a year since we had anything from LailaB, but I think her house burned down and her family lost everything.   I almost asked about Jadalulu today - I saw her posting somewhere about something and I think she's written other things since her last FYW update (but I could be wrong).    Would definitely like to see those update too!

Here I am again..Has anyone ever heard of a story by BellaScotia called Between Ordinary and Extraordinary? Is it one of the stories she's taken down?

Which leads me to another question WHY DO AUTHORS DO THIS?!!! They spend all that time posting chapter after chapter sometimes taking years and then..BAM! Let's undo all this hard work; because I KNOW they can't all have pulled to publish, which, at least would make some kind of sense......Anyway rant over.

If anyone has this fic I'd love to read it, I enjoyed Secrets and Lies....
