Here I am again..Has anyone ever heard of a story by BellaScotia called Between Ordinary and Extraordinary? Is it one of the stories she's taken down?

Which leads me to another question WHY DO AUTHORS DO THIS?!!! They spend all that time posting chapter after chapter sometimes taking years and then..BAM! Let's undo all this hard work; because I KNOW they can't all have pulled to publish, which, at least would make some kind of sense......Anyway rant over.

If anyone has this fic I'd love to read it, I enjoyed Secrets and Lies....

I completely agree with u.Even i dont understand this all.
I know some author pulled story or leave fandom when they publish thier books..But some authors for no reason pulled thier story..They work like  months & years to write story.1000 of reader write reviews & they just remove it everything. I came to this fandom around march 2011 and  i dont know about some of these infamous stories.Mostly i read reviews section which give me basic idea that if i shuld give it try ot not. But if stories is not anymore more on fanfiction.net than its very difficult to decide for me..Some of the author who still has account also pulled thier story again no reason..I wish atlest they just mention thier written story list in their profile.

I'm not a fluff only type of girl..if it's all fluff it will not hold my interest. I dig the heartfail. I think I'm gonna try and give this one another shot b/c it really seems like my kind of fic. It's driving me crazy not to remember why I never finished in the first place. I know I stopped reading at the part where she's in the hospital and he visits her (secretly?). Thank you for your comments on it



i think you are at right track..after this secret hospital visit stroy get only  very intersting & EB's  companianship,/friendship/relationship whtever u say start from here.

Too much "reality" does put me off too.  I cannot read fics where there is too much violence, abuse & humiliation.  I cannot even read FF BDSM fics if they are about whipping, nipple clamps and some person crawling around the floor with something stuffed up their bottom while kissing feet.  I found The Dominant (et al) by tarasueme impossible to read because of it and that was not even that bad so I have been told.  shudders.

same for me.i also dont like too much violence/abusive fics unless its not exeterme & goes well with plot...I dont understand the concept of BDSM at all.Its very disturbing to read all violence during lemons..sometimes in normal fics when author use little violence concept during lemon i skip it.Anything close to BDSM concept i read is Master of my heart , thankfully which has no vioence lemon so far.still Its so uncomfortable to read that bella is unstable mentally , physically  still went into another BDMS contract.god knows why.well its still WIP but i have alerady lost interset in this story.

Anyone else finding it difficult to delete pre-June, 2012 versions of DL's when a later version exists?  I keep thinking that the author may have edited the more recent version and that I'm deleting the good stuff.   :-\

This is where my hoarder tendencies and love of hard drives comes in handy.  I have over 60K stories in my fanfic folder - and yes, there are a lot of duplicates which I either don't have the time to go through and remove or I'm afraid to delete because there are a lot of good fics that went from multiple chapters to 1 or 2 chapters.  Also, some of the PDF's I've downloaded may not be good.  I haven't had time to try them all.  I also have PDF, mobi, and epub versions of the same stories.  So yeah, I have no problems with keeping duplicates. :-\

I do love the current version of FFdownloader because I can set it to put the last update date in the file name.  This way I do know if I have an actual duplicate or if it might be a different version.  Because I think I may have deleted a couple of those changed files before I realized it.  Fortunately, I have multiple computers that I sync on occasion so they hopefully are still around in some version  ;D

I actually keep most of it on an external drive and then I have a copy of the folder on a second drive on my desktop.  The external drive is a network drive so I can access it anywhere I have a connection so this way I don't have to worry too much about duplicates on my laptop.

I've thought about putting number of chapters, but mostly I download complete stuff.  As I say that I think about all those WIPs I download also.  Yeah, no consistency here.  Unfortunately, FFDownloader doesn't give number of chapters as an option.  And because I can have - well, I did 8 once - multiple versions of ffdownloader open at the same time, it makes downloading a bunch of stuff easier.  But that was back in June when I did the mass downloads when stuff started to disappear.

I don't get BDSM &  I certainly would not take kindly about being beaten anywhere.  I have come across some real life subs on twitter, they have told me that they like some, if not all that stuff.  One 45 year old boosted that she could take a lot of pain while posting pictures or her bruised and marked bottom.   I am totally confused by it all but then as long as they are consenting each to their own.  :o

Between you me and the gate post I have been known to start a fic half way through.

LOL!  I do that all the time too - skim through the early chapters, get a feel for the story and then once I get past stuff I deem unnecessary (LOL!) I start reading!  I have to also admit that I ofter read the very last chapter to see if E&B end up together or not.  If they don't, I don't read it!  I know, I'm a loser, but I honestly have no time for things that I can't get into or don't end the way I want them to.  Gads, writers must totally hate me for admitting that!    :-X ;D

I have been deleting duplicates too, and it takes forever!   I always include the chapter numbers in a story when I save it - (1-12 incomp.) - and note where I got it from  - (FF Complete) or (TWCS Complete) - when it's complete in case I want to go back and check for extraneous outtakes or extras that may have been added since the story was finished.  It also helps to have that information when you upload here or try to download from here because I have occasionally copied stories that had fewer chapters than the copy I had already saved.  It sucks when that happens!

You're doing better than me, I arrived this year! I read on one recent post here that someone has over 5000 fics? :pulling Sheeeet! If it wasn't for this forum and the women ( I assume it's women, but who knows) here I wouldn't have read hardly any of the good stuff as many have been pulled. I am in awe of this message board, let me tell you.... :cheer:

Not sure if this is the case for BellaScotia - whom I hear is going back to school to get a degree and also going through a divorce, so she is having major life issues - but some writers feel that they don't want to leave their work hanging out there if they are no longer actively participating in the fandom.  Some have said that while they won't rework and publish their fanfics, they may want to "borrow" plot or story lines or characterizations from their fanfiction stories to use in their original works.  Some just don't want anyone to know that they started out in the fandom.   I guess I understand these viewpoints, but yes, it does stink when stories are removed.   But, the good news is that's why we're here folks - we're keeping them alive through sharing here!   ;)

Don't worry I recently started to save some of the fics I finished reading and some started to read. Sine like Ella I started late, and only started reading on line only. Some of the fics I got from all the wonderful people that contribute to this site. And since then I started hording fics. Right now I have like close to 1k of stories btw read and to TBR, and WIP's And the toll keeps climbing since a lot of rec's posted here I keep on my watch list and just keep adding to my TBR  :laugh: and probably will keep adding to it ^-^

It happen to me today while I was reading a fic today I was  :wtf: :sign0135: But the author did say that RL got in the way and she lost the love for  twilight and . the twilight fic world so she just said that she called it quits. It's sad when it happens but I understand

Ugh, I have almost 8,000 stories archived - for the most part all E&B, all HEA's, incomplete and one-shots.  I've been trying to delete duplicates (I usually copy from all sites and I like the ones with photos and graphics!) but that is impossible when I keep downloading every day!  The other issues is that I have to keep opening the files to check to see which version has the outtake or more chapters, etc. and then I get sucked into reading them!   I have been trying to remove old versions of WIP's while  downloading them as they update, but sometimes I'm just lazy!

I got this from another site.  It doesn't appear to be complete, however Sammiee31's ffnet site has a note that she will be posting it somewhere eventually.  FFnet pulled it. ???

So it seems this story has been claimed to be a copy of another story.  I looked at the beginnings of both and they are different enough that I would question it without reading more.  However, the writing is a little bad on Sammiee's story so I don't know if I will bother. 

This is the story from which it was supposedly copied.  The premise is the same but it looks like Edward is alone in the one and part of the Cullens in the other.   Decide for yourselves
