I love it when an author is kind enough to do that, it makes it so much easier.  Savage even has them in epub and mobi as well as pdf on her blog.....gotta love that woman :-*

You've made some thoughtful comments about the writers.  I admire all the writers, good and bad, for being willing to put their work out there for others to read and enjoy.  It's an incredible act of bravery and none of them deserve to be flamed.  If the story is no good  or too error-riddled to be enjoyable, or simply not my cup of tea, I just skip it.  I don't feel a need to criticize the writer.  If the storyline is interesting, I'll skim or read, depending on the skill of the writer.  I only review sporadically and, generally, it's to praise something I really liked.  I don't believe the majority of the writers are really interested in constructive criticism and they really don't want to hear about their grammatical and word use errors.  So I don't incur their wrath because I'd rather be reading.  I do try to be supportive and also give thanks for sharing when I've finished a story.  While I believe most of the writers are posting for their own enjoyment, they did share and deserve thanks for that.

I totally agree.  If it's a really good story and then they do something weird that is out of character or doesn't fit with where the story is going, I might point it out.    ;D

Savage will send you any of her fics also. I saw her offer on her blog, sent and email and received them all in days. So very nice :)

Yeah, I have to give it a while before I can go back. And it depends on if I flounced because I wasn't in the mood or if it just bored me.  I'm less likely to retry if I was bored.  :P

I know extremely random :)

He's pretty. If he weren't gay, or if I didn't know he's gay, it might work.  I can usually suspend my disbelief when gay men play romantic leads, but I would prefer a rip-roaring heterosexual for the part just to maintain the fantasy (or at least someone who has not yet come out of the closet).  Of course, since I've already claimed that I'm not sure I can watch a film version, there's no reason for casting directors to pay the least bit of attention to my preferences. 

I did recently get pulled into a movie marketing survey, but it was for a kids' movie (cuz I have a 8 year old, not because I'm a kid).  Too bad they weren't asking about my casting preferences for Fifty.

Did I mention that Matt Bomer grew up near where I live?  So I guess I should have some loyalty.  I'm willing to give him a thumbs up, but not for Fifty.

Okay I had to look these guys up & I can see where Matt Bomer is hot.  Sure too bad that he is gay. ;)

And I doubt they are going to pick a TV star.  Also for me, if he doesn't have bronze hair & green eyes, he's just not fifty. ;D

he is so hot, but it killed my fantasies when i found out he was gay. and then you notice how he turns his head to the side, its too sweet for a macho man character.

I might watch Fifty the movie to make fun of it. I do it with twilight. I didnt like the casting ( Rosalie should be played by a blonde, not a brunnete with an awful wig), the discrepancies from the books.... they made each vampire look less hot than they normally are. I love Rob but he did look constipated most of the time and im not a Kstew fan.... Maybe thats why i love fanfiction. It can be better than the original.

For example, Volition by Rochelle. Its my all time favorite fic.

But I agree with E... hate it!

im not american, nor english is my mother tongue.  the first time i saw these kind of abreviation was on gossip girl (not a fan, i tried watching the first season but stopped after a while). so i think i connect E and B to juvenile behaviour, especially the spoild teenage kind.

I totally agree. It will be fun making fun of the differences, they always seem to not get it right once they adapt it to a movie. and well most of us agree that we all see Edward Cullen as our perfect Fifty  ^-^ ;)

Does anyone know off hand if there is a fic that has Bella traveling to the future? From way in the past maybe she's royalty or part of the court?

I don't have a specific fic in mind lol I'm horrible I know. It's a plot that came to mind today that I'd love to read. I was thinking I wonder how Bella would cope being sent to the future from the 16th or 17th century? I was thinking maybe a twist with her having an arranged marriage to James that she runs way from and hides in a tree trunk but when she comes out she's in modern day forks or something. The Cullen's find her etc etc just a plot bunny that I'd never be able to write but hoping someone else did lol

Anything come to mind? I've asked on Facebook and been rec'd Written in the Stars (I read that though) & Transcendence (Read that too lol)
