I don't mind when they have different nicknames, especially when the characters are ooc, like Dusty and Bliss. Or when Bella is Iz or Izzy to everyone else and only Bella to Edward, as in If He Would Have Been Faithful.

I have a question for ya'll:

What about a fic will make you flounce? Not necessarily the storyline but more grammatical/spelling pet peeves? I'm just curious

Mine are continued use of "smelt" and "shutters" for smelled and shudder, respectively.

Also....if there are too many short sentences (I think someone on here mentioned it). It seems you just can't get a flow going with those and I always quit reading.

And, if there is an obscene amount of exclamation points used. I know it sounds picky on my end but I just can't handle it. People do not speak or think with that amount of continued excitement lol. I started a fic the other day and I swear, in the short paragraph, just about every sentence ended with an exclamation point.

And if Edward starts calling Bella "love" (or similar endearment) waaay too early in the story. I mean, come on. Guys don't call you 'love' on your second date or run-in.

I know I sound picky but after reading fic for years, there's bound to be some pet peeves develop

Constant misuse of words drives me nuts. I read one the other day that kept using the word bare for bear. They kept talking about "baring" children. perverts.
Overwritten love scenes will make me stop reading. Really crappy dialogue is the worst for me. I hate when they make the characters say things that normal people wouldn't say or make the conversation so stilted because they are scared to use contractions.  Oh, and the misuse of 's. Seriously, how hard is it to remember that if it doesn't own something, it doesn't get an apostrophe?
And I get really annoyed when I see a fic recommended over and over, go start reading it, only to find it's full of all of the above. There are several that I started in the last few weeks that were recs from here and in the a/n notes of other fics that I could only read a few chapters of before I had to quit.

Does anyone have Blur by upsidedownntwisted? I've been searching for it for days, but can't find it anywhere.
This is what it's about:
Jasper wakes up one morning with a splitting headache, feeling like he's been run over with a truck. He also has a new tattoo and some additional hardware on his finger and...down below. Completely freaked out, he noticed a card with a phone number from "E". He calls the number and finds out E is suffering from the same confusion, so the two men head out and search Las Vegas for clues. There has to be a reason why neither of them remember what happened the night before.

The best I can do is 4 chapters.  From the 6/24 update...

I just want to remind everyone to push the Thank you button when you download a story.  I just downloaded Blur posted by Chippy73.  I was not the first to download, but I was the first to push the Thank you button.  It's just polite to thank people who give you something.  They way to do it here is to push the Thank you button.  It takes less time to do that than it took to download the story!

So it got me wondering if anyone has any good Fighterward fics...I've read Shadowboxer by nobloodnofoul and loved it.

I just finished reading "Caged" by Savage Sooooo good. Anyhoo, I was perusing/snooping her faves and came across this little gem. It's a WIP but it's soooooo good She updates daily and the chapters are short and sweet
