Ah, we should be so lucky that authors put that much thought into choosing their adjectives!

Although I was thinking about it and its sense; relating to that of navigation across sea or land, and I can see where the inference is made and the meaning is shifted across to the navigating of anything unstable or deceptive. Although I’m still not sure how wedding planning is unstable :P maybe you have to be unstable to think about planning one…

It is really different in that they go back and start all over, but only Edward, Bella and Jake remember the first time.  There are some interesting, shall we say, things that happen -
Sorry but you are not allowed to view spoiler contents.

But over all, I would rec it as a canon redo with changes.  Jake is a much better character in this one.

That sounds really interesting! I've flagged it.

I finally settled on False Hopes by snarkymuch. I know there is a decent story buried in here, but the writing is kinda awful. Lots of to/too mistakes, and she always uses we're for were, really jarring. Awkward sentences and word usage, too. Once, Jasper told Bella he'd be " at her beckon call". :D

Other things that are really bugging me are
Sorry but you are not allowed to view spoiler contents.

I want to flounce, but I kinda want to know how it's gonna end, too. Fortunately, it's not a real long story.

See, this is where I'd skip to the end and then nick off out of there faster than a possum up a gum tree.

Thanks for the warning.

That sounds like one I would normally flounce on....however I seem to give more leeway to Jasper fics only because there aren't thousands to choose from.

I started this last night and Oh. My. It's sooooo good. I'm only about 25% of the way through and had to drag myself away last night at 3 am.  I had to skip to the last few pages last night to make sure it was a HEA just so I could stop thinking about it and go to sleep lol

It's def'y not a fic for Edward/ Alice lovers. I've never wanted to  :violent-smiley-007: them both like I do now.

Ok, I finished False Hopes, and sorry, I just can't recommend it. It had decent bits of story, but the writing was some of the worst I've seen. Edward was flat out evil, not just a controlling jerk. Even Alice was an evil witch. Did not like this one at all.

I forgot to write things down, what were some of the fics yall recommended where Edward is either dead or just not so bad or not around? I was gonna read Someday next, but I think I need a break from Twatward. Prefer bad boy but good/sweet Jasper.

I can't say that I really enjoyed Someday.  I would generally say I like angst, but that one was too much for me.

Someone mentioned reading one the other day, where Edward had been killed by the Volturi, and she waited the whole book for Edward to come back, but he never did, anyone remember what that was?

That was me.  The fic was Running by Merina Green.  You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login

It was my first non-canon and I didn't realize that such a thing existed.  I'm sure no one else would be expecting that  ^-^.

Thanks! that's what I'll start after I finish the m/m book I'm reading! I'm not in the mood to deal with the typical Edward you deal with in most Jasper fics.

Wild Child by FluffyLiz has been completed with an epilogue
Just months away from inheriting a fortune and the family business, 17 year old orphan, Bella, is out of control – a wild child with a platinum card and a killer bod. Can Edward, as her legal guardian and CEO of Swan Publishing, rein her in and prevent her from ruining everything he's worked for? AH, OOC. Rated M for language, adult situations and dramatic plotlines.

I was reading this as WIP (so glad that is over!) and I really enjoyed it. It slows down a bit in the middle; the characters seem to get in a bit of a rut and it gets a tad repetitive for a few chapters, but it starts moving again after that. It's older Edward and younger Bella so if that's not your thing then it may not be for you. However overall a good fic and it's well written, I only noticed a couple of errors that gave me the giggles. I would recommend it.

What's an m/m book?

Think Jasper/Edward slash, only original fiction. M/M stands for man on man romance novels.

Kind of excited there's another slash reader on here.  I never have anyone to talk slash with  >:D.

I'm sure Ill get to the slash once I get burnt out on Jasper/Bella. I've read a few shorties so far, but nothing full length and angsty, what's good?

There's so many great slash stories out there.  You'll have to tell me what you prefer (just discovering their sexuality, already established, etc) but the most epic bestest slash story ever is (IMO):

Mergers and Acquisitions by Touchstone67 You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login

When Edward pays for a night of harmless fun, he didn't expect to get the purchase of a lifetime. Will his nights in Seattle change his whole life in Chicago? Full length story for the second place winner in the Slash/Backslash Contest. Rated M, J/E

This deserves to be published.  It's not for first time slash readers, but since you read m/m books, I'm sure you'll love it!!  I barely slept while reading it.

I looove slash. I do prefer domineering Edward but if the fic is written well... Like Raw and Rosy, Jasper is delish :)
