Ella, whatever you're doing you're wasting your talent you should be writing for SNL  :D  Is it still politically incorrect to call a homosexual a fruit or is that now back in fashion?  :-\ I ask because today I was at my pole dancing class (long story for another thread) and a guy walked into the changing room and shouts "I'm a homo, so don't worry about me seeing your bits" and proceeded to look for whatever it was he was looking for. So I'm asking has the pendulum swung around again where it's OK to call someone a "fruit"?
LOL! No I'm being totally inappropriate I'm sure!  :o

But well, sometimes you have to call them as you see them  :D :D

I hear pole dancing is really good exercise & a lot of fun.  My damaged knee won't let me crouch down though ;D

This cracks me up. I work with a lot of gay guys, and they are constantly calling themselves fruits, homos and other random words the rest of the world isn't supposed to say.

pole dancing class (*snort *giggle :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D) My mind immediately went elsewhere....
"God, if he wasn’t so handsome, strong,
sometimes sweet, didn’t have a Harley, that beard, a tendency to play with my hair, didn’t look so good in jeans and wasn’t so danged good in bed, he would seriously not be worth it."

I think homosexuals calling themselves non-politically correct names is on the same order of rationale that my brothers used when we were growing up - i.e., I can be mean to my sister, but YOU better not be mean to my sister.

Pole dancing is the hardest form of exercise that I've ever done! There is nothing sexy about being a pole dancer. I have a whole new form of respect for those girls, you have to be hella strong, crazy flexible, and not mind being covered in bruises..that pole is a MoFo...I have aches in muscles I never knew I had!

Errr? Miz DaNs0nYa where exactly did your mind go, hmm? Appendage dancing, maybe  ;)

ETD: Please can someone read And With Thee Fade Away,(I posted the link on a earlier page) I want to have someone to gush with over this amazing Edward! He is by far one of my favourites, and yes I might be biased because he's the first English Edward I've come across, but he's just brilliant! Derdriu is an really great writer.

*sigh* I'm so screwed guys!

I agreed to play in a reading Bingo game in another group. Two books a week! NON-Fanfic books! I thought I was ready, but I'm not, I miss my Bella and Jasper and Edward and Emmet and Peter and Charlotte and Esme!

I bought a Scarpetta novel the other day - used, thank goodness.  I still haven't made it past the second page. And I normally can't stop reading them.  Fanfic has killed my ability to read anything not Bella & Edward.  :o ;D

So it's Monday morning (here in the land of Oz) and I go to work educating the young impressionable minds of Australia, and you guys have a birthday party - complete with diet pepsi, pears and pole dancing!

And I bet no one even saved me a piece of cake  :'(

Um isn't a twat another name for a pussy? ???

Yep - exactly! It's kind of like that OTHER word (that starts with a C and rhymes with hunt) but not as offensive - at least by my rules.

And - my rules again - because it rhymes with prat, it also means the same thing!

So it's not inappropriate at all - my rules again!

In Aus you'll find a mix of biscuit and cookie used.

I hate, hate, hate the word cookie - that's a word that DOES sound inappropriate!

I mostly call them bickies (short i sound - not long as in one that rides a harley!) but that could just be because I spend my days with children and, apart from certain  ;D words my vocab is still that of a 9 year old.

I also stubbornly refuse to use the term "peanut butter". To me, it will always be peanut paste!

homosexual...fruit...pole dancing...guy...pendulum

 :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

OK - so my sense of humour isn't much more than a 9 year old either. All you needed was the word "balls" and I'd be peeing myself like Rob on Jimmy Fallon

ETD: Please can someone read And With Thee Fade Away

FINALLY! Someone else reading an "A" fic.  :cheer:

I'll start it as soon as I finish the one I'm reading now. A Glimpse of Light in Eternal Darkness by MidnightLove87. Has anyone read it?

Bella is divorced and heartbroken. Lonely and broken four years later she is in a tragic accident. Can her Greek god heal ALL of her wounds?

I'm thinking I might flounce.
In Chapter 1: Bella's back story of early marriage and divorce to Jake, hit be car, saved by Edward, three weeks in a coma, wakes up, falls in love with Edward, moves in with Edward.

And the CONSTANT use of Greek god makes me vomit in my mouth!  :sign0137:

I'm giving it one more chapter but unless someone here can convince me otherwise, it's getting the flick.

I loved it! I'll admit that I can't remember a lot of the details, I've read a ton of fic the last couple of months since I've read this one. Even though it didn't have any lemons lol

Yeah! Vindication! You know how sometime you think something might be the case but worry that's it's just you? I've read such a lot of mediocre fics lately I thought I might be over compensating with Fade Away. Nope this fic kicks arse, no mistake....I am extremely glad there are no lemons in this story; for once an author isn't hiding fair to middling writing behind a cacophony of unnecessary sexual content.

I read that one as soon as it was finished.  I remember that I loved it, but don't remember too much else about it.  The one awesome thing about having such a horrible memory is that it allows me to enjoy fics more than once *snort*.  Maybe I'll re-read it, because I've been flouncing more than I've been reading lately...
You held out your hand, and I took it without stopping to make sense of what I was doing. For the first time in almost a century, I felt hope.

Check out this really long but really good two-shot: The Purple Banana Hammock by TheFicChick You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login

Like most women, I always found Speedos to be equal parts hilarious and horrifying. That all changed the day I saw Edward Cullen wearing one.

The first chapter is a light, lemony comedy and the second chapter is more lemony, but more angsty - it has a lot of emotion behind it and tells a really lovely tale and is a HEA.

I even got a bit teary  :'(
but given my insane cravings for chocolate today, I might just be PMSing!

I'd like to read more by this author but apart from some Grey's Anatomy fics - which I can't stand! - and West Wing, she has only written one-shots.

ETD: Just finished one of the one-shots, Through the Kitchen Window. Wow - she can write. This one was amazing! You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login

Full on tears with this one!
