I can't remember what I was reading Friday when I had to split off for a challenge in another group. :(

I *think* I finished up whatever I was reading, but I just don't remember! :'(

I know I was reading The Quiet Room, but I had left off of that one a day or so earlier,  can anyone tell me just how dark that one goes?

From what I remember it only starts off dark and then lightens right up.
You held out your hand, and I took it without stopping to make sense of what I was doing. For the first time in almost a century, I felt hope.

I'm thinking of starting a fic titled If Love Could Light a Candle by Pastiche Pen:

Edward Cullen: telepath, vampire, and psychologist. When a new patient ignites unfamiliar feelings in his soul, can he reconcile his past with his future? A la Midnight Sun. Warnings: Violence, lots of character death, and the usual. AU.

Can someone tell me if this is HEA.  I'm concerned about the character death. Thanks!

I read another Pastiche Pen.  I think she writes mostly HEA with some humor.  I haven't read that one yet, though it is somewhere on my list  ;D

Grand Tale

I keep thinking/saying that I'm not a big fan of CaraNo but here I am reading maybe my third story by her in as many days and I think she growing on me! Grand Tale has a Italian speaking Mobward and a sexy Italian Bella; they keep saying things like, "forget about it" which makes me giggle because though I'm British I was born in Italy and Italian is my first language and only American Italians speak like that. :D As per usual with Cara, she takes them from 0 to sex much, much too quickly for my tastes, she does still manage to create a good story to go along with it all. I'm still in the middle of Grand Tale so not sure how it'll pan out in future chapters but I do know that she is currently posting chapters to the sequel. I have to wonder though if writing Fan Fic is all this lady does because she bashes them out a an alarming rate! Not that I'm complaining, I only wish other authors would take a leaf out of her book! Props to CaraNo!

I know she had a baby aboout six months ago. I think she doesn't sleep much.  I think she's also a very fast writer.  I also don't think she posts until she half done with a story most of the time ;)

Err? It's not like they stay dead? Your read another story and, ta ta! They're alive again.  :D You know what they say, "a change is as good as a rest". You might surprise yourself and enjoy having a less predictable ending.

100 pages in 60 days makes it hard to keep up with too.  Just a drive by. Headed out if town until next week for the holidays. For those that observe it, happy thanksgiving. For those that don't, I am sure there are many things you are thankful for besides the rest of us and the endless supply of ff's.

Since when  do we have our own section here now?

I was going to laugh at RDMickey1989 and say that there's more to fanfiction alley than just Twilight fanfiction, but when I went and looked - it WAS mostly Twilight fanfiction threads!

Happy Thanksgiving to you, too.  Travel safely, eat wisely.

So, what you're saying is...there is SOMETHING else she does other than write Fan Fic?  :57:

Happy Turkey Day to those of you that celebrate it. And Black Friday!

I'm thankful that we don't celebrate Thanksgiving in Australia so I don't have to get together with certain members of my crazy family for another whole month!

I'm also thankful that our national holiday - Australia Day - is more about getting together with friends, beer, the beach, beer, cricket, beer and beer!

I think I'll just do the normal turkey since it's just me & the hubs - we already fight over the crispy skin part. No need to have less of it  ;)

I'll probably give black Friday a miss too. Nothing we really need on sale. And who wants to line up for hours to be one of the ones who gets the crappy cheap computer? Because really? Other than the OS, it's got nothing & will be slow enough my husband will notice it.

Though the cashmere sweaters at Kohls for $40 sure look tempting ;) Sigh...not like I don't already have enough :D
