What do you mean "gazumped"?  Is that like "flounced"?
Gazumped is what we (England) call it when a buyer puts a larger offer on a property that you already have an offer on, and nicking the buy from under you. There is actually some kind of legal restriction against it happening now, in the 90's early 2000 gazumping was almost way of life, part of the pitfalls of buying a property...In this case I'm using it to mean when a fic takes my attention from something I'm already reading.  :)

I just read the latest chapter of Fronline by Miss Alex.  She's not making it easy to wait for the next chapter!

That same one indeed, it updated today. Maybe try going into the fic manually and looking for the chapter? The newest one was 24.

Ficfangirl: I only hope what she says is true and that the next chapter is up within the next week, because this thing has so many twists I can barely keep up! I really love this Edward.

I could not for the life of me get into this fic. I tried about 5 times and flounced around chapter 6. I guess I just prefer her angsty stories and the first fic from her I read was Closer. That fic killed me.

I actually don't like teambella23 fics. And sexylexycullen. Not sure that is her pen name.

I'm probably the only one.

Nope you're not. I don't like Lexi's stories. I find the writing horrible and just plain boring. I do love Teambella23's angst ones. Revelry and her team up one with yellowglue Dusty... my heart breaks with each friggin update.

I also would rec the two above, especially The Real Life.  I also loved Sexy Silk by jlho & Emotional Warfare by Completerandomness. EW is being reposted, but you can find the full version on the 152 thread.  It is almost done though.  I'd post links but my tablet won't let me but they are both easy to find on ffnet. ;)

They both have great story ideas, but I am also so/so on both of them.  I will read them, and parts are good, but I get distracted easily.

Aha Shake started as a one shot & it was great. Then she decided to continue it, and though parts are great, other parts were just plain silly.  And? I read it as a WIP, so maybe it reads better all at once ???  I started a couple others of hers, but didn't get past the first few chapters. But that could be my ADD.  I've been known to have trouble concentrating long enough for a story to grab me  :P

I've yet to read anything from either of these two authors. I started Revelry but wasn't in the mood for it so I flounced with every intention of reading it at some point.

i cant remember which fic from teambella23 i read. they are all kings of leon songs, i mix them up
it started ok and then i just couldnt take edwards and bella volatile relationship anymore. i flounced that.
they were toxic with each other. and that just falls down to another thing that annoys me, Edward can get away with anything in this fandom: rape, being abusive, killing etc.

i found lexycullen fics a bit childish (at least the one that imitated Greys Anatomy), i flounced it twice.

And I haven't been able to use IE since I discovered new browsers. I think the last time I used it was when I got my new computer (5 years ago)and that was just to download new browsers lol. My favs are Firefox and Maxthon.

Well, I'm either going to have to learn to love the plus or change to Firefox. I have nothing against Firefox - it's just, you know - old dog...

And Astro? You need to learn how to procrastinate.

Oh Ella, I am the Queen of Procrastination - I mean I am the World Champion - not Olympic Champion (because the Olympics are for amateurs) - I am talking Professional Procrastinator here.

But my OCD means that I can't not finish something!

It's a sad contradictory infliction...one that can only be cured by...lots of vodka!

I never remember to change the subject title. Never.

I don't have a problem changing the subject title (or the subject for that matter - I also seem to be the Queen of Off Topic Posts! Hmmm, must find tiara...)

I have a big problem remembering where to put the bloody colon!

I read Eight Days A Week by 107yearoldvirgin a few years ago and remember having a few laugh out loud moments:

Eight Days a Week by 107yearoldvirgin
Bella Swan needs a Nanny. Edward Cullen needs a job. Accepting the Manny position will change his life forever…and may just help him grow up in the process. Snark, humor, lemons and Edward in a towel. Seduction has never been so juvenile. AH/AU

I loved Edward's thoughts on YoGabbaGabba!

Walking briskly back into the kitchen I whispered into the receiver, "Dude. No joke…there is a talking, dancing, bright red, studded dildo on the screen. It's a kid's show!"

Jasper snorted and I looked back into the living room. "Whatever happened to Fraggles and Thundercats? Don't they have good shit like Garfield on anymore?"

I read Gynazole and found it really silly - I don't like "crack fic". Actually, I haven't really liked much from MrsTheKing, even Poughkeepsie. It just all seemed a bit contrived to me.
