Just had a look for you, Chapter 28 is listed as an Epilogue and the A/N talks about it being over so it looks like it's complete. You're safe to read! It's so stupid when people don't mark stories as complete, I rarely read stories until they're done and I can imagine a lot of readers are the same.

Thank you  :-*

I never think to look at the last chapter. I'm always afraid it's going to ruin the fic for me. I think I should do that from now on.
~No, no. I'm laughing at you not with you~

And don't forget to press "Thank You" after downloading. Someone took the effort to find it, you should thank them.

I think something's wrong with me. I tried starting at least four different fics last night (all B/J), and NONE of them grabbed me! :'(

It was all either really bad, immature writing, or silly situations. (seriously? flirting and having lusty thoughts while your dad is in the hospital DYING??)

I want something that's going to pull me right in so that I don't want to stop reading, back to calibre!

It can ruin it sometimes when people use titles that give away chapter contents, either that or there's a last chapter summary in the A/N. I hope the story is a good read  ;)

Rec: You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login Bella and the Beastward by Zhivago3. I was initially a bit cautious of the fairytale theme, but it's done well. There's a sequel but I tend to stay away from those and it's not completed anyway.

Every time I read one of these "author pulls story" posts I want to run to FF.net and flag everything in my favourites/completes. But there are sooooo many. I wish I could remember to just do it individually as they get completed. But I'm wondering, do you ladies flag.com everything as soon as they are finished or....how many fics do you Lovelies have loitering in favourites on FF.net?

On a different note I have finished Under These Lights (link previously posted) And yes it is definitely rounded off enough to read and enjoy; could it do with another chapter? Maybe. Would I have noticed if the "complete" button had been pressed? No, I would have just taken it as read.
I normally check the completed fics every few days and download anything interesting using the standalone FFdownloader.

However, with all the pulling and failure to mark as complete, I also started using Calibre to track stuff in process that I think look interesting or are by authors I follow.  There's a way to show that stuff is in process using the ffdownloader for Calibre.  Mostly, I don't bother adding them until they have 20K words or 10 chapters.  And they don' t go on my reading list until they are done normally.  ;D

There are probably better ways to do this, but this is the best I've found so far.  I don't like using FFnet anymore because you can't sort the alerts.

There's enough of us around who don't have a problem looking then reading, that if it will ruin the fic for you (yes, I'm thinking of you Demaris   :-X) we can check.  I for one don't have a problem checking.  And I think I read this one already.  It was good.   ;D

I have had the SAME issue for the past few days! Or I'll get a quarter of the way through what is a really good fic and then I just....get bored.

Thank God! I though it was just me, I was really worried that I was losing my love of Twific....I've been skipping around fics like someone with the attention span of a flea!

Ella, tracking in Calibre, can it alert you if someone has pulled a fic...My worry is I'm saved a fic, haven't flagged it and before I get to it the blinking thing gets pulled; I wouldn't even notice I have so many favourites in FF...  :D

I'm sure I'm late to the game on this fic, but The Companion is driving me nuts. She keeps changing between tenses and I'm finding it difficult to read  :-\

Did anyone else who read this feel the same or is it just me?  :o

On a side note...

I read a lot of the reviews for Beautiful Bastard and it seems to be getting the same reaction as Fifty... they all think that the FF authors sold out the fandom and aren't sure why they aren't being sued by SM *snort*

Not a lot of people are liking this pulling to publish and the Twific plot hasn't changed. Also, why would I buy when I can read the original with the characters I love? Seems like a no brainer  ::)

In a way, yes.  It gives an error message.  One rec, though, always set it to upload only new chapters. If you set it to download the whole thing each time it updates? Yeah, it will be wiped if the remove all but the first chapter.  Unless you back it up somewhere   ;)

I can understand writing a story as fanfic to hone your craft & then publishing it. But you really need to edit it & stuff before releasing it.  This changing the names doesn't quite do it.  And SM can't sue because once the identifying stuff is gone, there is no copyright issue.

I mean, I'll put up with a lot of crappy writing for a free fic that I won't pay for.

I agree. I have only read Sempre and I liked it a lot. EP is my fave fic but Khar changed it up so that the story is the same but there many changes.

Now The Submissive being published makes me smile stupid. It is far more superior in writing and plot than FFoG and that friggin series. I hope it gets picked up to be made into a movie. TSM would def get my money

I do have an issue with making it into 3 books.  It really should have been 2 at the most.  I really miss those 700 page books that you can't put down.  Heck, most of the earlier Tom Clancy ones I read were at least 1,000 pages.  Now they charge the same price for something 250 pages that is practically a short story as far as I'm concerned.

And? I'm talking ebooks here.  Not real, paper books that cost money to print and ship.  >:(

I haven't read the submissive.  Frankly, FFoG was pushing it for me in the BDSM area.  I only liked it because she said no....and he had to change.  Now maybe if Edward were the sub..... :57:
....though I'm not opposed to kinky stuff.....

LOL The Submissive is a way better story and it's not the same as FFoG... she knows he's a Dom but their relationship and how it builds is wonderful.

I haven't read a "paper" book in forever  ^-^

For fun, I am slowly reading the ff version of The Submissive and the published version, together with corresponding chapters of The Dominant.  So far, very little has been changed between the ff version and the published version of The Submissive.  I will be closely watching to see if the typos are fixed in the published version.  Don't ask me why I'm doing it, I just am!
