I don't get any adverts. Yay for AdBlock +! Saves me from the horrors of internet advertising. I don't get ads anywhere, not even on the video hosting sites. For a while I actually wondered why there was always an empty post at the top of the page!

AdBlock is the best thing to happen to my laptop since the internet! I don't get ads even if I'm watching legal, commercial, bog-standard TV, on my laptop; like Downton Abbey on ITV which is just terrestrial TV, it skips the ads and goes onto the next segment.....magic! Now if I could just find an app that could do that on my iPad I'd be laughing....

As with everything I know nothing about, I googled AdBlock, and that led me to AdBlock for IE and that led me to someone saying that IE's built-in Tracking Protection feature does ad blocking. So that led me to You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login

Please don't ask me anything else about 'puters! I'm barely hanging on by a thread as it is!!!

ETD: But I followed the destructions and it works! No more ads!!!

When I am on my pc and not my ipad, I too use Chrome as well as adblock. So that second post under the master one is always blank for me as well.

Haha! I think so.

I use Firefox and Chrome. The only time I use IE is at Uni, and that is because we are forced to, they have blocked all other providers, despite putting out a poll that showed only about 7% of the University population used and preferred IE...lazy twats.

As for iPads. My brother is required to have one for school instead of a Laptop which he'll get in year 9. I had a required laptop all through High School, from year 7 to 12, he only gets one for the last 4 years, we didn't need AdBlock then, because the IT department blocked all the sites we may need it! Ha.
