I see one book, notice the lists that said book is found on. Click on the lists and on we go. I'm really really loving Goodreads.

I've been there forever but didn't really get into it until I discovered the name change stuff :)
~No, no. I'm laughing at you not with you~

And don't forget to press "Thank You" after downloading. Someone took the effort to find it, you should thank them.

Tennis Balls and Sports Bras by krnycorn was finished today.

I read it as WIP and I laughed so hard. What a great story, sweet and funny... I enjoyed it.

Yes, these are BDSM - and VERY hard core compared to FSoG and The Submissive/The Dominant/The Training. VERY explicit. She also had a blog as she was writing (I don't know if it still exists) that had very graphic pictures that explained a lot of what she wrote about.

She is a submissive - and says that the fics are accurate and based on her own experience.

If you don't read BDSM fics then I would avoid these. The sequel actually left me a bit squeemish in places!

That said, the plot is interesting and they are well-written, especially as English is her second language. The characters are cannon, but creatively different and their relationships are well-developed.

The fics are mostly B/E with some B/E/J and even some E/J!

Edward is experienced, Bella is the novice and Jasper is (for the most part) a major horndog. Alice is there and eventually gets what she deserves, and Emmett and Rosalie hang around too - their outtakes were a bit squeem-inducing too - a lot of "partying" and "swinging".

I need help downloading a copy of Heartbreak Remedy from TWCS onto my iPad. I know how to use flagfic for ff.net but can't seem to figure it out for TWCS. I can get the story to open but don't get any options to save to iBooks. Sorry in advance for being inept.

Thanks for the rec! Nice to read something angst free once in a while.

Well thanks to some fic hunting today my TBR list is once again very long. I did try to re-read The Blessing and The Curse but Edward is just too much of a tosser in it - there's only so much cockiness I can read   :banghead: Next up is The Vagabond by NotebookofEllen (You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login), has anyone read this? I will hopefully get round to reading Dusty soon but it's hard to find time to invest in a story that long around the holidays.

If I were to download a copy from flagfic in a certain format and then upload it here would you be able to use that?

If you use TWCS and Flagfic, you have to be signed in to TWCS when you copy the URL to paste into Flagfic.  Then, you should be able to download the same as FFnet stories.

I can do it on my Nook tablet, so you should be able to do it on your ipad I would think.  Especially if you can use flagfic on ffnet.    Um.  Did that make sense?  My brain and words aren't always well connected.  8)

Laurendeplume- Someone emailed me a pdf of the story, which is a perfect format for opening on my iPad.  Thanks for the offer.  :-*

Ellachanted- I tried your advice on another story to see if I could do it, and your directions made perfect sense since I was able to do it!  Who knew I could paste a URL into flagfic!?  I'm so used to entering a number from Ff.net that I didn't even realize I could do that.  (I guess I should read the directions on flagfic!)  You're awesome-- thanks for walking me through it!   :-*

You know the saying " the devil makes work for idle hands" Phuck! Never has a truer word been spoken/written. A month or so ago we were discussing Facebook, remember ladies? And I said I thought it was "The Devil" Well I decided through sheer boredom over the Christmas to join a Twific fan page on Facebook. I thought it'd be like here, fans of fics discussing stories, sharing a joke, recommending other stories, and on the main it was but, phucking shit there was a lot of awfulness going on too. Bashing of stories, name calling, and I'm not necessarily talking about readers here! Someone called an author whose stories I've read and enjoyed and eagerly awaiting the completion of her current a wip a "f-ing loudmouth bitch"!  I've "meet" an author whose story I recommended on here a while ago; I want to go back and delete my recommendation and wipe her off of my "favourites" forever she was so vile! Call me stupid, actually do, do call me stupid because I've no idea what possessed me to venture into that hellhole to begin with, but the experience has totally scarred. It's like someone showed me the dirty, maggot infested, underbelly of Twific and I can't wash myself clean. I've been hovering around here for a day and couldn't bring myself to truly get involved, which pisses me RIGHT OFF as I've loved my time on PTS, everything in regards to Twifics feels a bit tainted at the moment.  Maybe I'm being overly dramatic or I'm too thin skinned but for the first time in months I picked up a book; the thought of reading a twific makes me feel slightly nauseous  :'(

Demaris - that sounds like an awful experience.  I've joined one Twific facebook site, after all the stories were pulled and everyone was trying to figure out where the authors were going to repost.  I have to admit I haven't hung out much since facebook is evil to navigate.  All the comments I saw were friendly, but I haven't been back in months.  So sorry you were subjected to someone who thinks anonymity permits rudeness.  Those kind of people do take the fun out of shared passions no matter where they are encountered.

Truthfully, I'm only active on two twific sites - one is more of a tech help site. The other is a fanfic hunters site that jklly moderates.  So far everyone is helpful & nice.  I also check out the Actorwards group & a Twific recommendations group. But mostly I'm not there much.   ;)

Sorry you picked one of the nasty sites. I heard they existed, but, like the real Edward Cullen, I've never actually seen one.  I'm tempted to ask which one, so I don't join it. But the looky-loo in me would want to see the car wreck first hand ??? :P ;D

As far as the nasty author goes? I've come to the conclusion a lot of them have very thin skin. They don't take criticism well.  Unfortunately, most of those with thin skin? Yeah, not the best writers. So they feel like they are always being attacked.  It's not a good combination  :o

I'm sorry you had to experience the negative part of the fandom that way :-(

I have a good friend (who I actually met on twilighted and have flown out to visit her before) who got sucked into
in a lot of the petty $hit.  It tainted her view of the fandom considerably.

I am a member of a lot of the twi Facebook groups, but lurk on all (there are a lot of good recs listed) and only participate in the non canon group... And I just joined that one on the heels of some major drama according to some of the posts.  I don't notice (or visit often enough) any fighting, I tend to look for links and that's all lol.

I hope this doesn't keep you from posting here, don't let the immature behavior and ugliness of some who should be adults ruin this for you

Some people are very brave when they hide behind a computer screen. I have seen nasty reviews and nasty responses and have seen great fics pulled because of abuse.

I feel like I'm a bit of a twific veteran since I've been reading for so long (2008) but this is the first site that I've ever participated in and have only started to comment on ADF and leave reviews recently because I have seen how nasty it can get on both sides - and that doesn't even bring in the P2P arguments! Then there are dramas that unfold when people get a bit caught up and do silly things, like the author who faked her death. There was another author who was in an abusive relationship and shared every detail - resulting in a beating that almost killed her when her ex discovered her ff account, and the subsequent messages of both support and condemnation for both her and the ex!

Sometimes the "discussions" on other sites are simply cyberbullying and one day, something simply awful will happen to someone who has been abused by someone in the fandom.

I think the most heated discussion I have seen here has been about whether beetroot, eggs and pineapple should be added to a hamburger! The answer, of course, is YES!

And now that the hamburger unpleasantness is out of the way, we should all give ourselves a pat on the back for developing and maintaining such a pleasant tone and supportive environment here.

I actually toyed with the idea to create a new facebook account just to join some fanfiction groups there but I think it's too much work when I read your experience.

I can't use my normal account because my son uses it to play those farm and smurf games and since he has English lessons at school he becomes noisy... (good old times when children couldn't read or understand foreign languages... I think I have to brush up my french...)

I get here more recs than I can ever read and while I'm not that active and pretty new here, I enjoy the atmosphere and kindness here.  :-*

The fandom is full of drama, which is a shame because we're all for one thing :)

I had to leave twitter because of the High School BS and the constant bullying. There is one author/person in particular who is constantly nasty and down right mean. People just let her behave like this and say nothing. Thinking it's funny. It's not and cowards who hide behind their computer thinking nothing will happen are stupid. There are ways to find people. One girl this chick threatened charged that b i t c h e s a s s .  :sign0098:

I love it here and I think that every lovely lady that has rec'd, assisted and just plain chatted with me is wonderful.

Demaris, I'm sorry you had to see that crap and I hope you remember that we think you're awesome and hope you don't leave  :-* :-*

I had deleted my personal facebook acct last year so when I discovered all of the facebook groups, I created one only for fanfiction. It wasn't difficult, but I the only information I added was a birth date (a lot of the groups require that to be on your profile to show you're over 18) and my profile picture....which is not myself but instead of Jackson. I don't even have any friends....which is fine with me. I'm not there to be social, this is the only site I feel comfortable to do that. Maybe that's because of the good, supportive, twific atmosphere and maybe it's because from what I've seen we're all def'y out of our teenage years and we act like it.

All that said, I agree with ficfangirl about the groups. They are a PITA to navigate and if there's a conversation that happens you have to sift through 200+ comments to find Fic related things.

Savanablue~my friend had the experience via twitter as well, I wonder if it was the same one you are talking about. I've come into one person (an author, actually) who was kind of bitchy....but not downright mean as you guys mentioned. It actually floors me that so much of this goes on in a 'community' that is *supposed* to consist of adults.

I don't have FB and I won't. As soon as they changed it up and showed everything from when you joined, I bounced. Don't like that. I did want to create a FF one so I could peruse twi pages for lost fics etc but thank god I found this site! I couldn't think of a nicer place to interact with people.

The fandom has turned into children and unfortunately the ones who do love it leave because of the BS.

demaris sorry to hear that you had a bad experience in a facebook group, and I agree with most of the opinions here, don't let the people who are petty and down right nasty inflounce you in a bad way about the fandom, some people like I think most of us here just enjoy the reading, for the joy of it and like sharing our little hobby (which by the way doesn't cost a dime :P ) with people who love it as well.

And I really think that facebook is evil, I have an account but haven't updated it in a looonnnnngggg while

It's all so ridiculous. Reminds of middle school and how a group of girls would turn on you  in a sec. It was crap then and absolutely ridiculous now.

I honestly despise facebook. It's everywhere.....kind of like Walmart (which I dislike as well, there are way too many of those stores where I live). And it seriously pisses me off that a lot of sites are requiring a facebook acct to join or log-in.

I think they give away WAY too much personal information. A stalker would have a much easier job if his prey had a facebook acct, for sure. I quit because of a combination of the privacy issues (it seems that no matter what my settings were on, one particular person seemed to squeak through them  >:() and the fact that I just got....bored. All of the people on my news feed posted about their dinners, shopping trips, daily chores and their exercise accomplishments. It all just annoyed me to no end. I mean....WHY would 300 of your closest friends and family care at all about the toilets you cleaned or the miles you ran?

LOL! I agree and really, who has 300 'close friends'? No one. I think that some people need to step back and chill. The fandom is supposed to be fun and drooly over your boy of choice from the books  ;)
