I just started re reading PoF because I forgot half the story line. To say I am turned off is an understatement.

Jaxon22 is such a good writer but there were tooooo many lemons

I have never flounced a fic because of too many lemons, but this fic was overkill. Damn shame

Right now I'm doing my mandatory B/E story with Breakfast at Tiffanys, will be finished with it soon, then I'll be hunting my next B/J fic, haven't decided what it'll be yet. I'll browse my calibre and see what catches my eye, got a rec for a good vamp one?

ETA: Ones I've finished already: Home at Last, Neverending Math Equation, Leaves of Grass, An Imperfect Love, Colliding Meteors, A Moment Changes Everything,

Again, incredible fic.

I'm reading A Moment Changes Everything right now...about halfway through. It's pretty good, although I usually prefer a bit more action and more possessive Jasper. Does it pick up at all?

LOL! I guess what I meant was that if they wrote HS relationships like they really are? Yeah, closer to the original Twilight stories.

Readers want hawt sex, not the real stuff. Isn't that why we call it fiction? Though I did read one where Mike thought he was God's gift to women & all the girls who'd been with him said bad things behind his back about how awful it was

Actually, I read a fic that started off with 'believable' lemons that got to the HAWT level as the story progressed. I loved it.

The way too unrealistic lemons is one reason why I don't read a lot of High School fics. Yeah, like any high school guy has that amount of (a) control, (b) knowledge of the female body and which buttons to press (so to speak) or (c) interest in always making sure the girl 'is taken care of' before himself.

um...same here. I'm not even doing B/E stories right now, I'm that hooked on Jasper and Bella. What are you reading now?

For me, I think it stems from the fact that I really like Vamp stories and you have to admit Stephanie Meyer gave Jasper an incredible back story. Of course she did sweet FA with it. Her loss and fanfiction's gain!!

The Ex-factor has longest chapter..like 30 word page in 1 chapters..Its longest story i have ever read.. But it was so well-written with all drama & interesting chracters that i couldnt put it down..

You said you are at chapter where they are getting ready at new year party..I suggest , keep reading because it will be better for edward-bella from these chapters..

& yeah there is lot of uncanon pairing in begining..It was really difficult for me too..But i never stopped for some reason.& trust me writer make up to all these heartache beautifully with all folowing chapters.

I was very imprssed with the author of The Ex factor..There are multiple POV.So many things going on with every characters life..But Focus always remain on EB.

This was a WIP when I read it the first time, and it was like watching a weekly soap. I thought of it like One Tree Hill (at the time.) IIRC it is over 1000 pages. Plus the outtakes. My favorite outtake involved Edward's pet.

This is one of my all time favorites, even with all the non-canon pairings and the multi - POV's.

My favorite line in the thing - "Black is back." It cracks me up even thinking about it.

It's written in the third person which I know some people don't like, but it doesn't bother me at all.

I've also read a few AH if you want some of those rec'd. Again, I like the vamp stories

Ok, so I'm reading The Ex Factor right now (my second fanfic) and I'm not sure that I'm loving it as much as I did Out of Sight Out of Mind. I've made it up to where they are getting ready for the New Years Eve party. It's been good, but it just seems soooo wordy. Most books I had been reading before would be like "5 hours" according to my kindle paperwhite and this says it is something like 30+ hours. Is it really that long? I don't know how to transfer # of words (that it shows on the fanfic page) to "reality" with # of pages. I keep thinking maybe my kindle has it measured incorrectly because according to it I"m nowhere even near half way through with it yet. Should I keep reading? Does it get better?

I think maybe part of the problem I'm having with it is that Edward and Bella aren't together and it's hard for me to get used to seeing them with other people. Maybe I just need to keep reading until they work out their differences and get back together? Surely they will! LOL
I'm new to fanfic and feel the same way. I'm reading The Ex Factor right now and there is a bit of "heat" between Alice and Edward and I just can't wrap my head around it. LOL Oh and also with Jasper and Bella and it just seems so wrong! I think I'm going to stick to canon pairings after I read this one and then branch out later on when I'm ready to take that leap. ;-)
I read OOS OOM as my first fanfic and REALLY liked it. There was one section of the story that I thought they stretched out a little too long, but I won't mention details so as not to spoil it for you. Definitely loved the story!

I have read The Ex Factor and it is one of my favorite stories. In fact it was the first fan fic I read. I will agree that it is a bit long, but it is worth it in my opinion. If you are up to the New Years Party, I would suggest you hang in there. It gets better. Just my opinion.

One of mine is that the guy is always huge. Is it really that important? I guess it wouldn't sound right if the writing was something like "and then he pulled down his boxer briefs and his average sized member sprung free", but you could just avoid mentioning size, right?
