Oh jeeez  ::) with some of the people in this fandom nasty pm's wouldn't surprise me. I've read some of the reviews and I think WTF? why in hell do people need to be so rude  :021:

That's true.  Though to me it sounds like they were getting nasty pm's, which is also not cool.

And some people hate to be nagged when they can't do anything about it.

I would never send a nasty PM to an author, no matter what but...come on, it's not YellowBella's first soiree in Fandom they know how impatient this realm is, it's one thing for Yellow to be writing Bella a OS for her birthday, great, lovely gesture and all, but it seems slightly crazy to post the O/S and tell us all to "calm the NOT ALLOWED down" when readers have been waiting for an update or if like me for them to complete so that I can read the bloody story for what seems like FOREVER! Write all the birthday O/Ss you want AFTER you satisfy your readers...You can't placate us with  piddly O/Ss.....OK, I'm not going to say another word on this topic, I'm getting way too vested :banghead:

I used to get all upset waiting for updates.  Now, with my ADD/Sleep Deprivation/Bad Memory? Yeah, I can't remember a story long enough to know I was reading it let alone that they haven't updated.  Sometimes there are good things about losing your mind  :sign0085:

LOL! I hate/love when I'm so into a story I can't put it down.  :-\

My eyes want to close, but if I try to sleep, the story keeps running through my brain wanting some closure.   :pulling

Talking about Dusty, do you see it having a HEA? Because I clearly doubt it (not to ruin anyone's hopes...) Especially if it's true that there are only a few chapters left.

In other news, I just started reading Whispered Words and False Promises by Lambcullen and I was wondering if it was evere finished because I only seem to have half of it... Smells incomplete to me  :-\

Dusty was the first Fan fic I read this year when I arrived in Fandom...I was young and foolish and hadn't a clue that such things as WIP existed. Imagine my surprise when I got to chapter 19 and found it wasn't finished (it scared me for life); hence my slight frustration! As for whether it'll be a HEA or not I can't say as I've not read it past chapter 19...Nor do I want to know or speculate, I just want it finished!! Goddamn it YellowBella! :pulling Oh dear,*sigh* I think my anger management medication is wearing off....My therapist did say it was best to ignore all posts in relation to the above mentioned fic....I better go and schedule an emergency appointment.

I've been reading Just wait by instantkarmagirl. And let me tell you an "easy" read it is NOT! I'm not sure if you could even label it angsty, this is more than just angst. All the main characters are riddled with some sort of psychological problem which mean Forks is the home of some of the most dysfunctional group of adolescents I've ever read in fiction and as such there is no light relief, it's just page after page, chapter after chapter, of hard hitting....."craziness". I'm struggling to keep plodding on and not just flounce in order to have a break!  I'm batting down the hatches and giving it a final push/read tonight hoping to see a glimmer of light at the end of a very bleak tunnel but, I'm not sure how the author is going to construct a HEA out of this hothouse of mental issues...Nor do I want to know so no spoiling PLEASE! I do have to say though that the story is very well written, the sequences which depict sexual abuse have been well thought out and done with sensitivity and most of the characters are multidimensional with many shades of grey. It is Fan Fiction writing at it's best; though also throwing some very hard punches

i finished Grand Jeté  yesterday.

Grand Jeté     by  stella luna Bella's life is full of certainty and boredom. A dance instructor without passion, she has no idea that the handsome man in her night class will teach her how every moment could be her big moment, and how every breath could be the last. AH/M. COMPLETE

Its very sweet, unique, realistic story with fantastic subtle charaters of E & B.Its always refreshing to see bella in some other profession rather than teacher or editor. It is simple fall into my fav criteria of FF with little drama, little angst, beautiful Romance, believable chracters & realistic plot.  :sign0098:

This remind me i have read  few WELL-WRITTEN with concept where Edward is ill or having some medical issue..
Like
Win Some, Lose Some by Savage7289
A Compendium of Thoughts  by  ItIsRaining

But i havent read 1 well-written story where bella is ill or having any kind of medical issue. So if guyz have any suggestion please rec me good story.

Thank you. :-*

I really enjoyed Ladder to the Sun by rosybud. I think it's the only one I've read actually, where Bella is sick. Ohh well. It's very well written (at least I think so...)

« Reply #875 on: October 24, 2012, 06:51 PM »
Hey guys, posted this on the 152-Book2 thread but thought it was appropriate here too.  Some of the girls were asking about the Golden Lemon Awards, which haven't happened in about a year.   There is a chance that maybe they'll do them again, but you have to give them your feedback.

UPDATE ON GOLDEN LEMON AWARDS!

So, I talked to Kassiah who has added a survey to the Golden Lemon Awards website to see if there is enough interest to do them again.  You need to go there and fill out the form by November 10th so that they can decide if its worth all the work involved.  If there is enough interest they may happen!  Pass this around to your fandom friends and lets see if we can make it happen again!    :)

Here is the link to the Golden Lemon Awards survey:

I, personally, love the rec's and great stories I culled from reading through the nominee list and I think it's a great way to recognize and encourage the writers.  It's a lot of work to pull it together and if there isn't enough interest I think it might just die away.  So, let Kassiah know what you think!   Thanks!      :-*

Have you read Dead on My Feet by Cesca Marie?   Edward has cancer, Bella is just broken.  It's rough, very OOC but damn, it's a fantastic story.  P2P, but the fanfic is here:

I have been looking for a twilight fan fiction that I haven't seen in a long time, I don't know the name but the plot is:
Bella ran away from Emmett (her brother) and her friends thinking they didn't want her and were better off without her. She is in a abusive relationship with James(?) and finally calls and sends a letter to them. They are opening a restaurant or club but go in search of bella the moment they have a clue where to look. They find her and take her home. He comes looking for her.
I love that story and really want to find it if anyone can help me I would BE SOOOOOO SOOOO GRATEFUL!!!!

Do you have any fanfic pet peeves?

One of mine is that the guy is always huge.  Is it really that important?  I guess it wouldn't sound right if the writing was something like "and then he pulled down his boxer briefs and his average sized member sprung free", but you could just avoid mentioning size, right?

*snort*

This used to be one of my biggest pet peeves, but I haven't read it in a fic in a while.  During sex scenes between Vampward and human Bella, some authors would describe Edward "lightly grazing Bella's love button" with his teeth. :wtf:  Doesn't Vampward have razor sharp teeth?  That sounds like a female circumcision, and that is never sexy.

Never have I been so happy to finish a fic in all my time in Fandom....I couldn't stick around long enough to even read the outtakes, a first for me, I love outtakes!  The hits just kept on coming with this story, Sweet baby Jesus! It was like being continuously run over by a heavy duty lorry...You know you're in trouble when Emment is in group therapy and on anti-depressants. I thought The Perfect Wife was bad but nope I think Just Wait might take my award for Most Disturbing Read....
