If we're talking peeves, mine is when authors talk about Vampireward getting an erection. How? Erections are course by blood rushing to the penis, vampires do not have blood running in their veins;  plus are they not made of a substance like stone? How? Just how would this...thing rise?

For what is worth, I have come across some fics with realistic sex scenes. I think The Tutor by ItzMegan73 was one of them (haven't read it in a while, so I can't be sure...) But those were just the exception

I get why the more romantic fics need great, hot, unrealistic sex scenes but when you write angst or drama sometimes you just need to be real!  (I am still reading all of it anyways, so, yeah...  )

Anyways, I was recently chatting with a friend and she told me that there are a bunch of fics out there about Bella's daughter falling in love with Edward (post New Moon, I guess!) What's up with that and how I haven't come across any of them? Has anyone read one that was any good?

I know! But it still a pet peeve! 

I hate, hate, hate reading about Edward sliding his long finger into Bella's moist/warm centre.

 

I don't know why, but it makes me cringe every time - and it's used in a LOT of fics.

There is some irrealistic but reallistic to her canon sex in Falling for the first time by snowwhiteheart. It was hilarious, but it also was the only vamp sex that I didn't found quite ridiculous.

I have a story in my alerts about Edward and Bella Grand-dauther, but I have so many stories in alert that I can't find it! :-( I'm at work right now, but I will try to search it more thoroughly tonight. I don't know if it's good, I haven't read it yet, because I don't want to read WIP anymore: it's too frustrating when the author can't finish the strory.

Talking about WIPs, has anyone read Expectations and Other Moving Pieces by chrometurtle? It was last updated early September if I remember correctly, but I just noticed it was first published in 2009  Was the story in some kind of hiatus or is the author really slow on updates?

From what I know just very slow.  I've been waiting for it to finish

So I'm reading a Nerd Story of Love by tufano79 and her love for Apple computers is driving me crazy. No computer nerd would own an Apple or say it was his favorite. From what I understand, Apple's programming is closed, you can't change much about it. Whereas Microsoft is open. And it's easy to build a PC, there's not much you can do to upgrade an Apple.  The whole point of an Apple is it is easy to use, at least back before XPcame out & made PC's easy. So why would a computer geek own one?

And completely off topic but since you mentioned Apple....I'm an Appleite but Goddamn! I wish they'd stop bring out new stuff out every damn month!  A new F-ing iPad? My current one isn't even a year old and it's the second one I've bought!!

I have been looking for a twilight fan fiction that I haven't seen in a long time, I don't know the name but the plot is:
Bella ran away from Emmett (her brother) and her friends thinking they didn't want her and were better off without her. She is in a abusive relationship with James(?) and finally calls and sends a letter to them. They are opening a restaurant or club but go in search of bella the moment they have a clue where to look. They find her and take her home. He comes looking for her.
I love that story and really want to find it if anyone can help me I would BE SOOOOOO SOOOO GRATEFUL!!!!

So this isn't quite what you had in mind with the whole Edward/Bella's daughter thing, but it's a rather good one-shot with a "might've been" had Bella aged.

A 2010 gift exchange between Oxymoronic8 and LeonMcFrenchington. I'm not big on crackfics, and the plot is rather predictable; but the route Oxymoronic takes to reach the end is full of heart. You might even find yourself tearing up a wee bit at the end.

You should really give it a go. Is DEFINITELY more than just a crackfic. Cheers!

Years ago, Alice had a vision: Edward would find a mate at Christmas. After decades of trying to dissuade his meddling family by bringing home the vilest girls he can find, Edward happens upon a bitter old woman & awakens to what could've been.

I've read this.  It was really good, and I never read O/Ss, though ultimately also really sad. I might of cried, not confirming or denying this rumor..

I just had a Stephanie Meyers 'fade-to-black' scene when it came to some citrus....and I feel like a perv for how disappointed I am about that fact.

It's an M rated fic so 

And it wasn't even the Ffn approved type of citrus/lemon. It was COMPLETELY glossed over after almost 300+ pages of UST

LOL!  What story is it?  And how old is the author? Is it their first story?

I find young or new authors have trouble with lemons - um writing lemons.  I don't know about their personal lives LOL!
