Hmmm....I believe he is a bit of a twat here as well. But damn. That story and The Quiet Room are my top fav Jasper fics so far. Edward doesn't make an appearance in The Quiet Room which was a nice change from all his douchiness in the other fics.

I already have The Quiet Room on my "next" shelf. I think both of them are on there, actually!

You'll hv to let me know what you think of those two when you get a chance. The Quiet Room made me lmfao quite often, despite some heavier subject matter at times

In my earlier post when I wrote B/J I wanted to put in a quip about it, but thought..."no, the women on this thread at much to mature to appreciate my adolescent humour"!   :D

I'm feeling much less pervy now.  On the other thread Tami said her husband was teaching her a lesson on saving and I wanted to ask if he spanked her, too.  But I restrained myself.  Oh no!  I've lost my filter!

Edit: Sorry, Tami. Are you made at me now?

While we're (somewhat) on the topic of pet peeves, the following is a rather large one of mine...

I usually try to avoid fics with small children in them, the little ankle biters just seem to do something to the flow of most stories, but when I do come across them nothing annoys me more than a two year old who is using perfectly grammatical sentences with 7 or more words. If a Two year old is using grammar they are only just beginning to use grammatical elements in their sentences people!! Many are still only at the telegraphic stage, using two or three word lexical sentences (like "mama water" for "Give me the water mummy") and some still won't have said their true first word! Really annoys me.

I generally don't like fics with young children, either.  Or I might have to believe that my kids are the only ones who don't do as they're told and eat up all my spare time.  In fic world they're miraculously easy and E/B (or B/J  :D) seem to have no problems findind sexing time...
You held out your hand, and I took it without stopping to make sense of what I was doing. For the first time in almost a century, I felt hope.

I just wanted to say a big thank you to all of you. :-*

Even though I'm always about 8 hours behind any discussions here (or is that 16 hours ahead?), I love that I can get home after a really crappy day at work and have a good chuckle. I love that other woman here are also closet pre-pubescent boys - I thought I was the only one (I can hardly ever say "balls" without giggling!

The time difference sucks for chatting here, but at least it's already Friday night for me - weekend woohoo!

That's almost as bad as the ones using won-ton for wanton. :D Which I have seen MORE than once- once even in a real book! :D

my biggest pet peeve is that Edward can do anything and he still gets to be forgiven.

One fic had he getting a bj,but apparently when edward is concerned getting bjs by someone else is not cheating.... especially in period fics (it was normal back then). :021:

Im reading this WIP, and i even pimped it on ADF,  and this Edward f u c k e d  up royally. Todays update broke my heart. It turned me into Team Jacob, or whoever, as long as Bella doesnt end up with this Edward. I really dont think he should be forgiven. I hate when this happens. It was a great fic, now im just disappointed and upset that Bella will forgive him. Unless its a non hea fic, but i doubt it.  :33:

I read a fic once that Edward raped Bella and they end together HEA.

I agree. This would make me flounce. And god forbid Bella does anything wrong, then the whole world hates her, but Edward practically poops rainbows. The man can do no wrong. It's what made me dislike the Edward from the books, he was so manipulative and just, urgh, he was practically abusive but everyone made excuses for him because they were dazzled by his sparkalies.

I usually avoid fics that have children in them also...but my reason is because I have to little ones myself so what free time I DO get, I don't want to spend reading about kids.  I read fic to escape the daily monotonous routine and to have something for myself, I def'y don't want to spend that time reading about tantrums and potty training in the fictional world. It tends to make the story so boring imo.

I agree with Ficfangirl, we need a LOL button! And a Like button
