In the course of this BB marathon I've decided that my Edward in Dusty is Aaron Paul/Jessie and not The Pretty....It's the ultra blue eyes, and the similarities in the role..

I haven't read Dusty yet, but I love me some Aaron Paul/Jesse! Breaking Bad was one of my favorite shows, and I hated to see it end!

OMG. So I have spent tonight booting up laptop, updating, reconfiguring calibre. Ya'll are a baaaaaaaaaaaaad influence.
I just tried coping all my URL from a webpage since I have heard you all doing this and it didn't work for me either.
I do have a few questions, Ella any chance of you becoming available for chat up here and I won't bug the whole thread.

Sorry about that.  My new phone finally came in.  And of course I messed up and turned it on before I transferred the account.  So I was on the phone with the wireless company getting it all set up. 

But it is cool if I ever figure out all the neat things it can do.  And I may have to buy some extra batteries because I don't think the charge will last all day on this thing.   

You're right - I tried on a few different sites and it only seems to pick up the actual hyperlinks, not when there are words saying what the hyperlink is, like on ffnet favourites.

Thanks.  I was under strict doctor's orders to manage my stress this term and thought I was doing well until I had a crash on Sunday. Sometimes you need to hit rock bottom to climb back to the top.

I just wish I could stop crying - the tears are interfering with my Pretty perving!

I'm liking Calibre. I'm glad I bit the bullet and got my head around it before all of this drama with ffnet and flag or I'd be learning under duress and that is never good.

Sorry you are not feeling well.  I understand the stress stuff.  I even pulled out my valerian root - stuff works pretty good. 

I tell you though, my doctor wanted me to have an MRI for my breasts instead of a mammogram - there's a family history of breast cancer, not because there are any problems - and I am somewhat claustrophobic.  So when I freaked, they gave me valium.  Great stuff I tell you.  Didn't even care I was stuck in a tube.  Valerian is the herbal version of valium.  So not as strong.  But still good stuff.

I've been very happy with Calibre.  I like the guys that do the downloader.  There's the main guy and since it is open source, a few others help out when he is busy. 

So, anyway, relax, have a cup of tea.  By tomorrow, my stuff should be on Google.  It's about 2/3 done - there are over 33K files.  So, the 19K+ books and the multiple versions and metadata I guess.

 

Woohoo! That worked! I got all the links from a ffnet favourites list and it copied them into calibre!

It needs some tweaking, because it took all the links that you select, but I think it's easier to delete from the calibre list than to C&P individual fic titles into Calibre!

Actually, both addons worked - I was doing it wrong in firefox. You have to press the right button and then drag to get the little box.

Just make sure the settings are on "copy" and not open as new tabs or you get 150 new tabs open and your computers spazzes out! In the Chrome addon, you also need to change the settings for copy to use whichever buttons you want.

Also, you need to change the settings to get all the links. It looks like the default is 40 in the firefox one.

Calibre doesn't care about the dublicates...It will only take the first one. So it is not an issue.  It just takes a little longer.

Because I'm not limited like you are.  Actually, you should be able to do the page thing, then again, maybe not.  I can use the "Get URLs from page" for communities, don't remember if I tried it on my favorites.

I've been taking Valerian for a couple of weeks now (in Swisse Sleep) and am sleeping like a baby and waking up refreshed. The new medication that I started yesterday will take 4-6 weeks to fully take effect but I should start feeling better by the weekend. The doctor said anything that would make me feel good NOW is highly addictive with side effects so she didn't want to go down that path. She did give me the mega-dose of the pretty pink pills though.

I really think Kristen Stewart misread the Twilight books and thought they said "Play hard to Get!"

Because really?  The Pretty did all the work in those movies.  And he was the one that was supposed to be backing off so as to save Bella's um, reputation? Virginity?  Whatever.  She didn't ever act like she wanted him to do more than give her a peck on the cheek. 

Sorry.  It was something that really bothered me.  She always seemed to hide her face when they kissed. And it looked so uncomfortable for both of them.

I was watching some of the Behind The Scenes/Bloopers from Twilight Forever and was actually surprised to see what a nagging fishwife she seems to be.

It's all "Dude..." this and "Dude..." that, bossing my boy around all over the place, and she just comes off as sarcastic and bored, and when she "tries" to be cute and giggly ... 

I had heard of that type of behavior from her from the beginning.  I also read that she liked to lead Rob around by the nose and seemed to try to control him in his personal dealings with friends and family that she didn't like.  I am sorry to offend anyone, but to me she seems to be a narcissistic little twit…

I do okay.  I finally figured out that between the dreams and having to pee every few hours, I wasn't getting enough good sleep, so I felt like I was going crazy.  And I'm in the beginning menopausal thing, so my hormones are crazy.  Which also doesn't help with sleep.  And hot flashes? Don't feel like hot flashes to me.  They feel like anxiety attacks.  My blood pressure rises, my heart feels fluttery, I don't feel like I'm getting enough air...  and I'm a little warm.  But not hot.  It really sucks.

I haven't watched all the outtakes for the last two movies.  But it doesn't surprise me. I heard the relationship was mostly fake after a while.  I think when they first started dating? it was probably real, but they had to stick with it until the last DVD came out.   Hence the him taking her back after the affair with the director.  I think they were really just friends by that point.
