This is the new thread as the other was sooo long and had lots of pages. Continuation of our wonderful discussions on Twilight Fanfiction, Books, and Life in general. But mostly Twilight fanfics... and life stuff that will get me a NOT ALLOWED statement.

I started it ages ago, but got distracted and decided to wait until it was complete before going back to it. Nice to know it's finally completed.

I was exactly the same as I've got loads of WIP's I'm following and the updates were never that regular, so like you hun I decided to wait until it was complete.

Now see, this I don't understand… How can you guys read multiple WIP's and keep up with each different one. Plus, to me, the flow of the story would be choppy and that would make me nuts! I won't say I have never tried to read a WIP, because I have, but I didn't last long before I had to click the "Completed Stories Only" button!

I won't say I have never tried to read a WIP, because I have, but I didn't last long before I had to click the "Completed Stories Only" button!

I'm the same way, I can barely keep all the completed stories I read straight in my head, without adding WIPs to keep up with.

I started down the ff road in 09 with chp 1 of a wip no less. While I waited, I read a completed one. Years later I will have a dozen wips going and while I wait for updates, I read a book or a completed fic. I can definitely say that wips read different than completed ones, but sometimes I just don't have the patience to wait.

I've gotten behind on my WIPs since I've been reading all of Kristen Ashley's books. I'm down to the last one, so soon I'll be catching up on my WIPs.

In odd moments I've been reading Breakaway Bella by hoodfabulous. While I think the story started out with a bang, now I'm just kinda bored and hoping it will finish soon. I was trying to figure out what went wrong in the story and I've decided it's just too much neurotic Bella and not enough Edward. I only have 4-5 chapters to go, but I think the story should have ended after

If they update regularly? I can usually keep up. But I have been known to forget I was reading things when they take too long to update

Also? If I start them when they are a few chapters in, I remember them better.

Actually it is a really good story. Not too many SPaG errors. But Edward has blue-grey eyes. So I've been ignoring it. Then she makes Esme blonde and Carlisle with the same hair as Edward.

Am almost done with bad fauxmance by stella luna sky - it's ok but you don't need to rush to read it...

Back in the olden days, before Calibre or Flagfic, I used to read WIPs. I'd have 20 on the go at once and, you're right - all the Edwards and Bellas started to merge. Whenever there was an update, I'd have to re-read the previous chapter and then the update. That was a killer for fics like Emancipation Proclamation, with such loooong chapters!

Then some of the WIPS stopped updating and my WIPhobia kicked in and I avoided WIPs like the plague.

I only recently started reading WIPs again - Me and Mom... and Awkwardly Yours. Thanks goodness they both completed! I'd get anxious whenever the updates where even the littlest bit late!

Currently, the only WIPs I'm reading are those that I beta, and also What She Deserves by GeekChic12 (You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login / You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login), but only because I know her from Twitter and she promised it would finish. It's very good - it's made me cry quite a few times already, and has the odd funny LOL moments too.

If you can't download from FictionPad using Flag, it's because they've updated their site & Flag's grabber needs to be updated to cope. Steve originally posted on Twitter that it would take about 24 hours, but it's taking longer because he's so busy.

Once it's fixed, I'll put together a little tutorial to help out those of you who are having trouble Flagging from FP. I really think it's important that we support these two sites.

It seems she pulled everything. All of Honeybeemeadows completed stuff is in my Google drive. Including a couple that are not on the FFnet site.

I'm wondering if FFnet pulled some of her stuff?

While I certainly agree about being let down by a WIP and I certainly have read my fair share. Maybe it's just me, but I usually read more than 1 story at a time so I don't really have that big of an issue keeping track, although there are a few stories that are longer that I have an inkling to outline so that I don't confuse myself..

I know others have mentioned this story but it is just recently finished and it was a pretty good read. The ending kind of concluded swiftly for my taste but this, along with Awkardly yours, are my first wip, and I am soooo glad I read them as they went along.

What I usually do is when a read multiple fics like now, I tend to only read 1 fic of a type at a type, eg: 1 Possesiveward, 1 Chefella. But I agree about one thing. Any fic I read needs to have a discernible feature, as long as it doesn't cross the line. I understand the whole "It's my story, my universe" but there are some stories that, in my opinion, would have been better had they not tried to insert the Twiverse into it.
