We got into some arguments with friends these past weeks, because our daughter does rhythmic gymnastics and they think we overdo it.
She has now practise 3 times a week and they think it's too much.

Well, she loves every minute!
She is six years old, in kindergarten and has no playmates except for her brothers in the afternoons because all of her friends are busy...

When she's in school next year, she will go to afternoon care and make all her homework there, play with her friends (every child in that elementary school goes to afternoon care, it's in the school), so she will have enough time to go to practise.

As long as she likes it we won't stop her "to be a child".

Tell them to mind their own business!!  If the child is happy and enjoys an activity, it is not for someone else to tell them otherwise.  That is a big problem I have with society today, too many people think they have a right to tell me how to raise my children!!

Has anyone read the Stark trilogy by J. Kenner? I liked the first book, but now that I'm on the second, I'm getting bored. I only want to continue reading if the third book gets better. Each book got over 4 stars on GR, so I'm wondering if it's me again. You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login.

Maybe it's time for me to return to FF, but I have no idea what I'd read. Nothing feels appealing.

OK, I think I found my solution. I'm starting Shay Savage's Evan Arden trilogy now that it's complete! You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login Original fiction but by a beloved fanfiction author. I think this may be the bridge I'm looking for to get me out of my slump. I'll let you all know what I think when I finish. *fingers crossed that it's good*

P.S. I ended up liking J. Kenner's trilogy, but was strongly influenced by book 3.5. Without it, I don't think I'd have liked it nearly as much. I liked the first book best, which I think could have been read as a stand alone. I'm on the fence about recc'ing the series as a whole though--not sure why it was so hyped up.

It's not as angsty as Dusty but there is enough in there to keep me happy as I AM an angst wh0re. 

This is off the topic, but am I the only one that can't log onto Flag?  Please tell me that isn't shutting down as I'm not computer literate to do the other downloads!  Help
